No, what I mean is the baby ever after is the ending that I always foresee.
If a series put heavy emphasis on generation, the chance for baby ever after ending is bigger.

Yes, because she actually ended up with the abusing a**hole, therefore negating all her development and any credibility as a heroine she had left. That makes her worse by default.
At least Karin got an explanation for her liking Sasuke (a bad one, but at least Kishi tried there). All Sakura ever got was "love doesn't need a reason".
Sakura had more to her character than Sasuke. She's not Hinata.
So do I, it's not like I wanted SS 2.0 to happen either. Sasuke should have ended up dead, which is what he deserved for betraying everyone who ever cared about him.
Naruto would have been more of a failure then.
Yeah there was a time when I used to like SK but not anymore lol. I feel it's hypocritical as a person who constantly criticizes SasuSaku (which...don't hate me...I think is slightly better. If only because Sasuke's asspull apology was genuine. Still F-ed up though)
As I said before I think Sasuke would've been best alone. It's not like he needs anyone and not everyone has to be paired up.
Oops nevermind. Sasuke is Kishi's golden boy. Of course he has to be paired up! Even if it contradicts his personality. XD
That apology was well done. Sasuke was very genuine but that wasn't what touched me. I am a Sakura fan first, so it always hung on her. Sakura forgiving Sasuke touched me, because she's very kind to do that even though he doesn't deserve it. I cannot hate it for this reason but I understand the people here hate it.

No it doesn't. Her ending up with Sasuke doesn't make her accomplishments from chapter 3 to chapter 698 automatically disappear. Until 693 she healed thousands of people and battled the major villains like the heroine she is. That's saying that you can only judge Sakura based on who she ends up with and I dislike this view on her character. Just like how Naruto giving up and being a neglectful father doesn't erase the accomplishments he's made thus far.Yes, because she actually ended up with the abusing a**hole, therefore negating all her development and any credibility as a heroine she had left. Errr, no. Kishimoto flat out confirmed her pairing fodder status in the latest interview. The fact that she's portrayed as nothing but a housewife in the epilogue tells you all you need to know about what her goals in life really were.
Naruto would have been more of a failure then.
So don't make Naruto overly obsessed with Sasuke to begin with. It's unacceptable how a total a**hole got away with just a slap on the wrist and even got what the main character pursued for a good portion of the manga. The Sasuke wank from Kishimoto is ridiculous and completely ruined this series.

Such accomplishments resulted in no growth in personality or character, so it doesn't matter. If I can't sympathize with a character's goals (especially when it's the heroine of the story), that character is a failure in my book.
It's not like she had to end up with Naruto. Just don't revert her to her Part 1 self and have her pathetically trying to abandon her family and friends for a guy who always treated her badly.

Yeah I always had this gut feeling that Sasuke was going to suddenly apologize to Sakura. It honestly was one of his best moments in his long line of meaness towards her. Even that asspulled forehead poke. That held so much weight to Sasuke and not even Naruto got that lol.

I was just disappointed that Naruto never confessed to Sakura..despite him telling Sai he would after keeping the promise. Either that or Kishimoto didn't think it was important enough to show.

So Neji died for NaruHina and Hanabi gets kidnapped for NaruHina.
You're barking up the wrong tee. As long as I get Sakura, it doesn't matter in what form it comes.
To each their own. I would take no Sakura at all over SS. The Sakura depicted in 699 & 700 is not the Sakura I came to love in Naruto.

I don't hate Sakura for loving Sasuke; that's Kishimoto's fault. But that panel where she blushingly asks Sasuke to take her with him out of the village was truly cringe-worthy. It was too soon and kitten all over Naruto.
And that is precisely the problem, Kishimoto only acknowledged the Sasuke part of Sakura in the end of the story. So what if she supported Naruto's dream? There was no payoff to that, he might as well not even have written it. Promise? What promise? Let's not have Naruto and Sakura interact at all, it's not like there was a build up or anything. Now that Sasuke is back, that's all that matters to Sakura.
Watch as they don't address any of this stuff in the movie either.

And in the process completely forgets about her other teammate. You know, the one who didn't try to kill her? The she tries to turn her back on the village and act like a twelve year old hoping to run off with Sasuke. Kishi ruined her character.

It's totally intentional
it was pretty difficult for kishi to kill NS ..so he and his assisstants came up with Idea of old Sakura
it is crystal clear that Kishi tried hard but couldn't kill NS ...so he had only this way
@rocci forgiving by a fangirl is shown by Karin

I'm sorry, but there's just no defending Sakura. You can say how she's kind for forgiving Sasuke all you want, in reality that's a display of the weakness she always had around him. It doesn't matter if that forehead poke took place months after the last fight, if you don't show that period on panel then I can't sympathize with it. All we got was a quick apology from Sasuke and all was forgiven. SHOW us the long process of forgiveness, don't tell.
Oh, that's right, that would require effort and panel time. Kishimoto was so done with the series that he simply rushed everything to end at 700. Who cares if he ruined characters in the process, he already made money from his gullible fanbase.

u can say he was forgiven by everyone & yes, NH was kinda impossible so it's obvious kishi needed to do something to cover for that & make Hinata look better
there's no doubt in it lol

I read that. But why does she love him? There is no reason. It's all apart of part 3.
Like you, my mother and I suffered abuse when I was very young. My mom finally divorce the loser. He is saying my mother is terrible for leaving a abuser. I would to kick his a$$.
In chapter 3, she said she thought it was because Sasuke acknowledged her to Naruto, disguised as Sasuke, after he said he liked her forehead. It looked clear to me that the Sasuke she liked was... Naruto.
The thing is...Kishimoto doesn't see Sasuke as a villain. If he did he'd find it understandable that Sakura would move on. After the cruelty and negativity that's happened between them any mangaka would encourage his heroine to forget about the bad boy and go for the nicer guy.
Sakura had every reason in the world to not love Sasuke anymore but Kikitten doesn't see it that way. Sasuke is completely innocent in his eyes and it is Sakura who'd be a terrible person for replacing him.
So disgusting.
Kishimoto doesn't see Sasuke as the villain because he isn't the villain. He's the protagonist's best friend who the main character is suppose to save by changing him.
Sakura is only conveniently shipped off with Sasuke to make NH look more legitimate. Look at the assistant's Tweet - he confirmed Naruto gave up on Sakura but wasn't sure Sasuke and Sakura would be together, and that was far before 700 was released.
Look at the evidence. There was absolutely no reason for Karin to be made and Uzumaki if she wasn't intended to be with Sasuke. And that's coming from someone who doesn't even remotely ship them.

Even Naruto forgave Sasuke
Naruto was ruined too. Absolutely nothing he originally wanted was actually shown in the epilogue, just him filling some spot that doesn't even have a meaning anymore and being a neglectful father. All that crap he went through and we're left with this feeling of emptiness when the story ends.

Guys, I've asked this one tumblr user who lives in Japan (and speaks fluent English) about the Japanese reactions. Looks, like some people still hope for a surprise ending, implying how sh*tty this ending is! I love tumblr; without it, I would never be able to ask people this directly:

"It’s mixed at the moment on how they feel about hinata, but when i went to the shop recently to buy a gundam figure i noticed how a lot of hinata merchandise that came out 2 weeks ago were still packed up on the shelves. People i know dont really like hinata much at all, my husband said to me also that many people said at the theaters ,who saw the poster of naruto the last, were not going to watch the movie or will watch it but hope there will be a suprise ending that will show naruto confessing to sakura or the world actually ending for them lol overall they are surprised at what happened but many of them are actually wondering more of the choji relationship and how that came to be xD so when i see what people are saying about how everyone over here loves hinata…it’s not all true :/ we actually had a blood drive in tokyo that had sakura and naruto on the front picture with sakura wearing a nurse outfit…i’v seen more pictures of them together here than anywhere else…so yes this hinata business was a big shock and kind of disappointing."

NH/SS were right about that one, it was just comic relief. An extremely inappropriate comic relief moment, but that's Kishimoto for you.
Anyway, what he said in the most recent interview is pretty much what was written in chapter 469, so we can conclude that was when he gave up.
He never said SS was in his plans, just NH. It was just easier to put Sasuke with Sakura in the end so "everyone's happy".
I could swear he was being serious when he said that...
in fact...did he ever really even give up? he still referred to her with -chan even in 699
