In that leaked storyboard, Hinata is once again focusing on Naruto. Can we have a scene where she isn't being pairing fodder, or is that too much to ask?

But Hinata being so infatuated gives NH fanboys a hard-on. ;) Have to keep her looking devoted and obsessed.

Sasuke never cared about Karin and SS never depended on anything but Sasuke. It was never like NH, that needed SS (even the interview with Kishimoto implies this). So it doesn't matter if Karin is alive or dead.

 

I brushed shoulders with some big SS fans in the past because some of them are big Sakura fans. It wasn't Karin they were threatened about. It was if Sakura would look at Naruto differently or if Sasuke died for his redemption.

I agree that Sasuke cared for Karin during that time because they were teammates. Sasuke can care for people when they are officially working as a team and on the same side.

But I think what shisui and Aizen-sama is saying is that it was never romantic. Hence, she's not a threat, she's like Suigetsu or Juugo.

That's what it appeared to be. I mean it felt like retcon began during the whole saving the heroes aspect. Feels like it's time to change. I mean hell, the movie announcement occurred when the fight is almost done. But who knows.

Why, because Sasuke thought of Sakura? That is the only time Sasuke is shown to give a crap about Karin, by comparing her and the rest of Taka. Sorry, if Sasuke cared so much, he would have compared them with his family, not a reflection of team 7. He discarded them, he didn't cut his bonds with them. Karin was just a tool.

Yes, because she actually ended up with the abusing a**hole, therefore negating all her development and any credibility as a heroine she had left. That makes her worse by default.

 

At least Karin got an explanation for her liking Sasuke (a bad one, but at least Kishi tried there). All Sakura ever got was "love doesn't need a reason".

So do I, it's not like I wanted SS 2.0 to happen either. Sasuke should have ended up dead, which is what he deserved for betraying everyone who ever cared about him.

Sasuke will not stay alone, he will pair with someone be it sakura, Karin or ino.

The heavy use of generation in this manga indicate that the ending gonna have pairing. The biggest candidate for sasuke is sakura after that Karin. I always foresee that ino will pair with chouji or sai.

Yeah there was a time when I used to like SK but not anymore lol. I feel it's hypocritical as a person who constantly criticizes SasuSaku (which...don't hate me...I think is slightly better. If only because Sasuke's asspull apology was genuine. Still F-ed up though)
As I said before I think Sasuke would've been best alone. It's not like he needs anyone and not everyone has to be paired up.
Oops nevermind. Sasuke is Kishi's golden boy. Of course he has to be paired up! Even if it contradicts his personality. XD

Karin's character didn't help too

 after he almost killed her, I had a glimmer of hope

"maybe we are finally gonna see someone mature and move on from the sauce!" "maybe naruto and karin could talk about their ancestry and kitten" 

 

but no...kishi actually regressed her character made her even worse...just like he did with sakura in the end

In the epilogue we should have got an epic shot of Naruto becoming hokage and taking a photo with team 7 or the K11  or something like that !

 

There were absolutely no need for those creepy ass children to appear! Their only function was to serve as marketing for part 3

Exactly. Quality writing leaves readers to wonder about the end and have their own interpretations. Even JKR didn't continue a series about Harry's kids despite fans pleas and HP is a hell of a more successful series than Naruto.
This is all just marketing and money-hunger coming from SP and Kishi. Keep the series going to get more money and forget about the story's quality.

My only desire is that this part 3 turns out to be a failure
