If Sakura does adopt the mindset of "Hinata deserves Naruto a lot more" like I'm 80% sure she will, words can't even explain how amazingly ironic that would be. It shows that selfless parallel streak even more that no other non-canon couple has so far.

1st example:

Sakura: "He's an idiot to love someone like me ... I'm the one who has always hurt him the most."
Naruto: " How can I? I don't deserve to tell her how I feel, I couldn't keep my promise."

2nd likely example:

Sakura: " Naruto deserves someone so much better than me ... all I ever do is hurt his feelings and screw up. Hinata would never make the same mistakes and cause him so much pain like I did."
Naruto: "Sakura-chan loves Sasuke so much ... I can't be selfish. I want her happy. And Sakura-chan's happiness is Sasuke."


It's just mind-blowing. The sense of inferiority and undeserving is just uncanny, I almost can't even believe it. Naruto painfully ships SasuSaku and shares SS views like the shippers in the fandom yet has it only because of his unflinching ability to have a complete lack of confidence in winning over Sakura's affections. I swear, it seems like he has more confidence in saving Sasuke then finding love with Sakura. And Sakura? In a roundabout way, she feels the exact same. Not in having Naruto like her but her doubt and 80% sure possibility that she can never give him the personal fulfillment and happiness that she believes he deserves. In her opinion, Sakura feels like all she'll ever do is hurt him and make him suffer like she has in the past. So she feels like she's wasted effort in the long wrong but not because she doesn't think she can love him. So possibly seeing her painfully shipping NH and sharing NH views like the NH fandom is just ... my shipping feels.

It'd be very interesting to see since NS is the only pair so far that has this obvious degree of unworthiness. NaruHina doesn't have that. Hinata can't see past her own Naruto-centric bubble, she likely believes she deserves him. She hasn't even shown a sign of knowing Narutos' existent love for Sakura. And Naruto ... well, his feelings are pretty much non-existent. Sakura thinks Sasuke doesn't deserve her and Sasuke doesn't think he deserves Sakura because 1). Cares 0 about romantic love. 2). Sees her as weak, annoying, and sees her as just some person of Konoha. He's very selfish and childish still.

Kishi might be trying to tell us something ...

I can't believe this is from a Shounen manga. Maybe he wasn't kidding about him wanting to write romance, especially once he's done with the manga. Or at least what the interview indicated. Anyway, seriously, this one better not pass up, though I do think he does have the idea. It's funny because there are times that I feel like perhaps I got the wrong idea or think this part is not as important as we all should be thinking. Lately, it seems we are surprisingly spot on for NS case of course. When it comes to life development, it's Naruto that we are focusing. Sasuke, while he does learn the meaning of Ninja World, doesn't really focus on living, rather what's make it, not to mention, the brotherhood. Naruto covers the living aspect, such as what it takes to make your teacher proud, making your guardian(s) proud, what is love, how does it feel to have a brother-like friend, if you have a rival how to improve yourself to be the better man, and so much more. When you think about it, his parallels talk about the life of a shinobi, while Sasuke is about life with distance brother relationship.

Exactlyyyyyyyyy. So much win here, though I don't feel that Sakura feels is all she ever does is hurt him but compared to Hinata who has done nothing but amazinggg things * *, I wouldn't be surprised if she went that far with it. I do however feel that she aims way to high when it comes to being there and assisting Naruto. She need to realize that she's doing enough for him. She believes in him, and does whatever is in her power, and Naruto appreciates that. Naruto needs to let go of the past and realize that the girl of his dreams might actually be the girl of his reality.

I really loved the bolded parts though in your posts. It's soooo freakin' crazy how complex their relationship is when you think about it. I mean, really delve into it. It's amazing. I'm actually not as upset as I was over the lack of Sakura when it came to 615 because I feel as though Kishi was sending us a message with her expression. I feel as though that message has something to do with feelings being realized by Sakura, but I could very well be wrong about that. Regardless, it still doesn't take away from the mystery that lies within her. I'm sure if we see her and she's pushing for NH because she wants Naruto to be happy WHILE holding back her own feelings, it'd be sad, moving, selfless, beautiful, and I'd definitely feel for her. Of course, this situation could very well NOT happen but I can't shake the feeling that something along those lines will happen.

NaruSaku won't happen until Sasuke is good., she has to make a conscious when the 2 are available and not one of them being mad or a psycho, of course there will some development inbetween but I think that's the road Kishi always wanted to take. Also Sakura has to confront her feelings for Sasuke one last time and this can't be done until Sasuke is sane altough he was never sane to begin with.

As for the panel in 615, it has a meaning when you're a writer you don't throw unrelated reactions to certain situations the fact she was the only one reacting to it is further proof both were directly tied so Sakura was reacting to the NH interaction, I think it's related to her reaction to when Hinata confessed, she didn't seem comfortable with the idea that Hinata was in love wih Naruto altough I wouldn't call it jealousy, of course it's ambiguous and you can only guess what kind of meaning it really holds but this is the kind of little hints that shows that Kishi has really a plan.

Yeah, he is very defensive when someone trying to hurt Sakura. He seems to have the same vibe from Minato, like how furious he looked when Kushina was dying. Sometimes, part of me want Obito to hurt Sakura badly to make Naruto to go all out in a good way.

Imagine if some poor soul actually hurt her while he was around. He would need some serious medical attention. Like Gaara did.

I dont think Kishi will do that. They need at least a fighting chance. If that happens the battle is as good as over.

I don't blame you. I will keep my expectation low because high can only lead disappointment and low or no expectation can lead something glorious. It's like the true nature of reward is to keep it low because life should be about predict the unpredictable. Anyway, I'm just keeping it low.

Yeah, I know. I personally love Naruto's overprotectiveness of Sakura. I still fangirl everytime I see the scene when Karui hits her and Naruto softens her landing, doesn't move the entire time, and sort of holds her.

Anyway, back to the main topic. We all know Sakura has done far more for Naruto than Hinata has and is there for him/openly supports him more. That's all true and canon fact. But Sakura likely does not see things like that. She knows she's there for him but she doesn't think she's there for him enough. It's like IHO opinion almost nothing is enough to make it up to Naruto, she truly cares that much. She feels like she does either small or dumb things for him, she said it once herself. Yeah, Yamato lectured her a little and tried to get her to realize her true feelings for Naruto but it obviously didn't work much. She still feels like this in the Kage Summit. Because of that, I believe it's extremely easy of Sakura to feel threatened and unworthy compared to Hinata. Why exactly? Let me elaborate on the specifics.

Looking back to the Pain arc, we had that famous scene of Sakura appearing sad and uncomfortable when she realized Hinata loved Naruto. But to be honest, I don't think this was strong jealousy. I think this was mild envy/sadness again. I actually think this scene may serve as forshadowing for her to feel completely unworthy next to Hinata post-615 until whenever. Hinata just risked her life and everything to save Naruto. She was there for him when Sakura herself was not (Noted, from her perspective. This isn't my opinion). That must bother and sadden her to some extent, especially since she made it her unoffical goal to do as much for Naruto as possible. And then we have 615. Another moment of Hinata taking over and snapping Naruto out of it, during a dark time (Complete with holding his face. You cannot tell me that didn't bother her in some way or another). Add that with her recent failure with her confession. Knowing Sakura's character, this would bother her.

Personally, I think this is because of Hinata's obsessive tendency to have Naruto recognize her and acknowledge her. This causes her to be very 'flashy' with what she does. Confession? Fight against Neji? 615? Exact same in the flashiness. She wants him to see her so she tries way too hard. Now compare this to Sakura. She's not like that at all, she doesn't expect anything from Naruto. All she really wants from him is to live, think about himself more, and be happy. So Sakura doesn't go out of her way to impress him or get her to notice her. The only truly 'flashy' scene was the Tenchi Bridge one but Naruto was unconscious so he didn't see this. Maybe thats the reason why we didnt see sakura the last time, because she left since she believes that she cant do anything for naruto again instead of hinata, but i feel like it would be a little bit too dramatic for the shonen genre.

It's difficult to discuss Sakura's character, she's quite complex. That said I think there's one thing most of us can agree upon, she deserved more focus.

Kishi tried to give her important roles, but when you compare them to Naruto and Sasuke she really got neglected.
Naruto got pretty much the entire Pain arc
Sasuke had his fight with Itachi, his fight with B, his fight with the kages, and his fight with Danzo.
While all of this was going on Sakura's character was being ignored. Sakura had her confession and her attack on Sasuke which ended up turning into a team 7 arc anyways.


In my opinion Sakura just isn't living up to the title of heroine. Look at the 3 sanin. They were all at equal importance and were all amazing. Sakura when compared to Naruto or Sasuke is miles behind. If Kishi wants her to live up to the title of heroine he has to start now.

Actually she doesnt have to be avare of her feelings to be jealous. She just has to have that feeling in her gut. You know the "What is this weird feeling" thing. Its the form of jealousy she could definetly be experiencing. Or the type that friend-zoners get. You know the friend-zoners that dont want to sacrifice the friendship but kinda have feelings for the guy. Sakura kinda falls in that category. Your not dating me but dating Hinata would make me uncomfortable.

Yeah sure, agreed it can be possible dont get me wrong I'd personally prefer a non-jealous sakura its just my opinion see i could be wrong, and yeah theres nothing wrong with being jealous.You guys seem to think that because me and darkrerst think sakura wasn't jealous, that it might be a problem for narusaku.I dont want hinata to be thought of an obstacle for naruto and sakura's relationship, since their perfectly fine, i feel like if sakura were to be jealous that wouldn't really...hmm whats the word...fit, but there's definitely a possibility, but i just see it in a different way.
