[Kagomaru]

I've been reading up on the latest Black Lagoon chapters and Rock x Revy remains one of my favorite canon relationships in anime/manga, no matter how dysfunctional it is.

 

Hell, even Rock's wannabe love interest from the most recent arc has picked up on what's going between them and outright refers to Revy as his girlfriend to his face(before and after stealing a kiss from him and telling him not to tell Revy about it, so she won't shoot her).  I don't know how Rei Hiroe is going have them get together, given the environment they live in and Revy's own personal issues(though she's improved substantially compared to how she was at the beginning of the series) with intimacy and self-worth, but I look forward to seeing how they'll cross that bridge.

Mashima never fails to make me laugh. When I saw Natsu's reaction to Mavis and Zeref, I almost fell out of my chair. Too hilarious

I want to see he will handle Lucy and Natsu ending up together.

Also, I want to see Naruto, who isn’t transformed into Sasuke sweep Sakura-Chan off her feet soooo badly, like how she deserves. I want to see my boy Naruto make her swoon, and blush, and look away from him shyly. I want to hear him tell her how much he loves her and I want her heart’s desires to finally be fulfilled. I have to see it before I die.

I've been playing The Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel lately and I'm really digging Rean X Alisa lol. Yeah the game lets you pick which female is the love interest but the developers pushed for Alisa HARD, and some of their interactions are just straight up cuteness

Well at last the 5 routes has ended of the Manga We Never Learn. 5 endings everyone happy.

Part of me wondering if perhaps Kishmoto might consider writing novels as a route for alternative endings, since he seems to be very focused on writing manga these day rather than drawing them. Plus they can always be adapted later if he wants it animated or drawn.

 

By the way anyone seen the latest fairy tail Chapter Natsu had his own harem for a moment lol

We should never accept an alternative ending if he does it because it will make it seem NH/SS actually had a chance to happen when we know that it never did. I personally wouldnt accept it. When he does do a NS ending, he has to declare it the true canon. No alternative.

Have they been getting development in the Manga? I never really read One Piece but from what I heard, Oda stays away from
The pairing stuff... is that true? Or do they get development in the Manga? Because even though I never read One Piece I did always want Luffy to be with her.

I wouldn't strays that Oda stays from romance when it comes to the series. He tends to be pretty subtle about the subject in his own series than others might be, and I think that shows with what he gets involved in.  Asides from Luffy putting his hat on Nami, he has often drawn them closer together in most of the color-spread for a chapter.

I think another key indicator is the One Piece Movie Strong World which was written by Oda, and for the most part it was LuNa heavy much that shared a few similarities to one of the arcs.   

 

In the movie Nami leaves a message specifically for Luffy to come save her, and also  Sanji making a comment on how her message to Luffy was that of love. 

 

 

I also believe Film Z  (the next movie Oda was involved in) had a moment where Luffy was recovering in the rain and Nami watched from the side with a worried look on her face. 

 

 

For Film Gold (the previous movie) Oda I believe tweaked the last 10 ten minutes of the movie during the final fight between Luffy and Tessoro. What happened was that during the fight the villain saw how Luffy was going tooth in nail to save Nami from him, and that got him reminded of when he tried and failed to save his wife from being killed.   

 

 

 

In Stampede (the latest movie) the closest you get to a Luffy and Nami moment is when she  ponders/worries about Luffy is doing, but like the other 3 movies was also where Oda was involved.

Another thing in the case of Luffy and Nami is how lately, due not just ot Luffy's recklessness, but also Ace's death in the Paramount War, that Nami has refused to let him just go off on his own now and then, like when he wanted to go after Sanji when he went to Whole Cake Island, since she was the one of the Straw Hats hurt the most as much as Luffy by knowing what he had to go through when Ace died in the Paramount War at Marineford.

To add to this: Oda, similarly to Kishimoto, admitted that he modeled Luffy and Nami after his wife and himself.  Nami is also the only person in the entire series that Luffy has shown a sexual attraction towards(having nose-bled over Nami twice when she, or someone taking her form, flashed her boobs at him), whereas he doesn't react to any of Boa's advances.

 That reminds me of Naruto who while he loves Sakura-Chan and blushes around her all the time. He’s oblivious to other girls. And it’s not even that he’s oblivious. It’s just that he only has eyes for Sakura-Chan.

Yep! From Bon Clay using his Devil Fruit powers on Nami, AND in the end of the Alabasta arc when Nami used her Happiness Punch on Luffy, Cobra, and Sanji.

Wasn't the Bon clay part only in the movie version or at least a more graphic version? Apparently Oda said the happiness punch reaction was because usopp is a bad influence on luffy in sbs 54 for when he was asked about how Nami effected him but boa hancock didn't, see here:

Well, I say that, but I do nothing but draw manga. I noticed this when we were drawing it, but if Luffy had a nosebleed when he saw Hancock's body, I think you would all be like "Ehh!?". That's not the Luffy we know. I believe that Luffy reacted to Nami's naked body twice, in volumes 18 and 23, and both times it happened, Usopp was with him! He's the suspicious one! In other words, when Luffy is alone, his reaction is what it was with Hancock. He's interested, but he's not entranced by her. But when he's with Usopp, who's the same age, it's like a kid on a school trip: his bad side comes out!! Yeah, both sides of Luffy feel right to me, so the culprit is definitely Usopp!!

Granted it could be a recon on his part since I doubt he had Hancock and her powers planned when Luffy reacted to Nami's happiness punch. Though we may just have to wait and see the next time if the Luffy sees Nami in a similar situation without usopp around, granted he probably get daylights beaten out of him. XD

Honestly, the facetious tone of that interview always gave me the impression that he was mostly joking around by blaming Ussop's influence on Luffy's reaction IMO. I mean, the only one he seems to be influencing is Chopper during the Bon Clay scene since Chopper is making the same face as Luffy and Usopp, but the speech bubble indicates that he seems to be confused and is just playing along (especially since Chopper has made it clear that he isn't attracted to human females).
 

 
Oda's always been known for being a bit misleading and duplicitous about these things (like how he once stated that there would be no romantic relationships on the Going Merry...then he had the Merry burned down and we now currently have three Straw hats, including Luffy, with hinted love interests).

Subaru x Emilia - Re:Zero 
 

 
The development between them as a couple is gradual, organic and impactful.  It's also amazing just how similar the two of them are since they are both selfless, kind-hearted people who are sadly so self-deprecating that they are utterly blind to their own virtues. It's also fascinating to see just how Subaru's feelings for her have evolved from subconsciously using her to boost his own pitiful self-image to coming to truly love her for the person she is, including her faults as a person and will encourage her by pushing her out of her comfort zone so that she can become the woman that he knows she's capable of. Emilia similarly realizes that she's been treating Subaru as her security blanket and when she realizes that he does not view her as a virtuous idol, but appreciates her as her own person - flaws and all, she finally gains the resolve to overcome her fears and doubts in order to improve herself. She also does her best stand by Subaru and support him as he has done for her.  Naturally, she's also falling in love with him, but because of her inexperience and her emotional age, she doesn't quite realize it yet.

Went through watching Code Geass after a super long time (7 years believe it or not), and man Lelouch's fate hit me in the feels, and the way it ended with a certain someone brought tears... I don't know how I've been sleeping under a rock, but I just realized that Lelouch of Re;surrection was a thing, and it's set after the retelling movie trilogy or in this case after the final episode.

When it comes to the story of the movie i genuinely liked it a lot in terms of rating I would say it's a good+ rating, but the ending elevated to another level for me to a Great+ because one of my all-time favorite parings & quite arguably one of my original OTPS finally got to see the light of day in becoming canon. I mean the image gives it away, but Lelouch and C.C. not only became a couple, but according to the creators they are also married.
