I think it's the same reason with Naruto. Naruto and Sakura both wanted acknowledgement from Sasuke because he was the ideal person in their eyes. Well, that was the initial reason. Then part two, Sakura started to fall out of love......but then Kishi happened.
Yeah, for people like us who had an abusive father, that interview was really painful. It made me feel so disgusted and depressed for one whole day. I know others are also struggling to overcome that statement. Kick his ass? I wanted to tore the brain from his head. That guy doesn't know kitten about the heart of the abused. What's worse is that his statement is nearly identical to what my abusive father used to say.
That's not more than 0.01% of the entire Japanese society.

They made it darker than original Hinata's hair.
They completely changed her character.
Those kittening obsessive bastards also put her in small clothes for her to be more showing with her body.
They compressed her breast to make it like it's almost exploding.

Yeah Kikitten himself said Hinata was a "frumpy" character and didn't want her to show too much skin. He's contradicting his own character outline for her.
You know your pairing is kitten when it only happens because the girl changes her clothes.

There are many mangakas who are losers turned successors. It isn't odd for the losers to think this way. They're filled with bitterness and hatred towards the rich, the successful, and women in general.

When I told about Kishi's interview to my sister, she just said, "Obviously, he still has that lowest of losers mentality."

So true. They don't want to win over a girl. They want the girl to lay down on bed and be all ready. The challenge, the seduction, the talk and the chemistry. I mean DAMN IT. Who want a girl who just plain worship you and do as you said. I saw Hinata doing the start in bed, already and just let Naruto doing it, without taking really a part in it. WHICH SUCKS. No complicity, no PASSION in this relationship. It's disappointing.

Reason's to dislike Hinata? Is there any? That poor character is butched as much as she can be. So people use her as pairing fodder, because it looks like in late manga - it's was her only point for existence, she forgot all her "become strong person" and was all about "be right next to Naruto-koun". And in this promo for movie they use her shapes of body - to bring fanboys, changing her characters core, so it's naturally that people think that she herself change it to more... "sluty" if you can use it, thats the problem. And don't bring "we were better" - in the end, just watch NH and SS deeds.

I understand that some members in here react extreme, but you know fully well that we all also mention non-sexist reasons for disliking Hinata. Don't simply single out a few sexist arguments b/c it is so convenient.

I'd really like to believe this... But I have a hard time believing a movie this big would contradict the manga. Kishi pretty much said this movie is canon and he approves it...


The day Naruto fell in love with Sakura was only something the US shounen jump did, I think. For fun.

And there was no mention of Narutos feelings for Sakura in his Databook page. It only said the two share the same desire and despair when it comes to Sasuke and they have a "team 7" sense of bond. There's also a caption of Naruto saying "I hate people who lie to themselves" and next to it says he saw through her confession. >_<

In Sakuras it pretty much said she wanted to pay Naruto back for liking her all this time. That's what the neutrals translated it as, at least.

I think the people here weren't talking about woman but the "idea of woman" losers have and how they see Hinata as such. And it's true. Have you ever been to NarutoForums? There was a thread "What do you like about Hinata" and a lot of answers written there were "boobs". People here aren't talking about how they hate shy woman with big boobs. They are talking about how they hate the ideas of losers regarding "shy woman with big boobs" because the losers depict these woman in a disrespectful light acting like slaves to a men's needs.

I just don't like her now because I though her character would have more development than just being pairing fodder

Well kishimoto doesn't really know how to write female characters, so some of his mistakes might have been a little on the sexist side

A long time ago when they used to ship the US Shonen Jump in a magazine they did a whole article about the love triangle between Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke.
