She was in early part 2 I know for a fact, I've seen those early interviews where she talks about how she's worried about Naruto's love with Sakura because everything is going so well something bad was bound to happen. Sure enough it did.

huh, really i never seen that. i do remember a early part 2 interview where she acted in character and said "i wish sakura-chan would go on dates with me!" that was cute.

 

but i don't think shipping is srs bns to her. i think she's a sakufan though. for sakura's part she talked for so long blablabla and then for hinata the supposed heroine she had only a few words for her "ehh that‘s cute" xD

Now, now, we're guilty of hoping for a similar scenario for NS too since Sakura was so stubborn. Remember the expectations for the CPR? It's not like our pairing was in a better place considering everything Naruto did for Sakura didn't get her to look at him differently. On the contrary, Kishimoto mocked us for having such expectations with the fake confession.

Clearly for most romance to happen in Naruto, a character needs to get stockholm syndrome first.

Kishi doesn't know how to write good female characters

I think the best one is kushina because we can see he worked really hard on her character ( because she is the Mom of the second MC)
Temari is good too, but that is because she has low exposition
Sakura was good in early part 2 just to decline completely afterwards, mainly with this ending

The rest of the female cast was shafted completely and didn't show much.

The truth is kishi doesn't care for any character whose name isn't sasuke

MinaKushi is modelled after NaruSaku. The same characterizations, almost identical panels, parallels... Or so it seemed, anyway. Sakura had great development up until Kaguya fight and what came after. I guess Kishi can do good writing if he wants and cares but seems he doesn't. The ending and this movie are the proofs. But yeah, I agree he's an awful mangaka and sucks.

Come to think of it, the fake confession is indeed the moment he decided to drop NS for good. It goes in line with the whole "Sakura would be terrible/fickle for moving on", that whole chapter was Kishimoto's Anti-NS argument. After that, there was no mention of Naruto's feelings ever again, so we should have seen this coming. Unfortunately, most of us were blinded by the parallels that supposedly weren't there.

 

And no, this stuff about Ino being almost raped isn't true.

My sister saw these "false spoilers" on tumblr so let's just hope they're not true. With kidnapping (Naruhina) abuse (Sasusaku) we don't need no Saiino rape added to the mix.

I remember my biggest fear was sasuke coming back and saying he was sorry and then SS would happen. NS fans helped me believe the manga was against that. NS fans were right, but now everything looks really bad.

The naruto fan base needs to really question this.

Her in 693 was in character, she couldn't possibly take on Sasuke and didn't want him to fight with Naruto. She appeal to his humanity, his feeling for team 7 ( as the good old days and portray by Sasuke's old family picture) and as Kakashi state.
The Naruto vs Sasuke fight was short but good.

NH/SS were right about that one, it was just comic relief. An extremely inappropriate comic relief moment, but that's Kishimoto for you.

 

Anyway, what he said in the most recent interview is pretty much what was written in chapter 469, so we can conclude that was when he gave up.

 

Plus sasuke showing his eternal love to sakura by trying to kill her.

He never said SS was in his plans, just NH. It was just easier to put Sasuke with Sakura in the end so "everyone's happy".
