Still drama about whether or not Soma are Erina related?

*facepalms* Wow that is a dumb argument, so the entire argument is based on a potential possability of the Lenora being Soma aunt...because of the shade of his mothers hair in a black and white drawing? Let's not forget light hair could be anything from white to blonde to light brown. I thought Erina and Alice had the same colour hair until I saw that one has blonde hair and the other has white hair. and looking at the colour drawings, the possability of them being related through their mothers seems less likely.

 

Also I am pretty sure Alice gets the Nakira name from her father, as her mother seems to be bad at Japanese, so very unlikely she's the headmasters daughter, or even a former student.

 

As for the argument of Soma's mother also being Erina's mother...um. Well Erina is 16 (according to chapter 52.5 ) and Soma is still 15 (as far as we know) so it's hyperthetically possible (it's not unknown for siblings to be in the same year dispite being almost a year difference in age.) but it's highly unlikely, I believe the mangaka already confirmed the Erina will fall for Soma's charms so the chances of that happenning is slim to none. I'd saw it was impossible, but this is manga, so can't say anything is impossible.

 

I'm more likely believe that Souma and Erina's mothers were related somehow, either cousins, or best friends. It wouldn't surprise me if Jouchirou and Azami were both chasing the same girl, and that girl ends up being Erina's mother with Souma's mother being her assistant (much like Hisako is to Erina right now) who met Jouchirou after she was fired by Azami who took control of Erina's mothers life same as he is doing with Erina....Or it could be the other way around or something completely different. Actually that would be pretty cool, now that I think about it. (I'm basing this thought entirely on Souma's mother having the same bobcut as Hisako btw )

 

I completely lost my train of thought...anyway that argument is weak and has no foundation to content of the manga.

I know right it has no foundation whatsoever going by the manga and the author's info  .

 

Oh I forgot about that chapter .What you say is true it has a very slightly possibility , but I'm pretty sure it has no chance going by the education system since they're both classmates in 1st year high-school  so its pretty much impossible for Erina to be older then 9 months or a full year then Soma  , if that was the case she would have been in 2nd year of high-school not 1st year . Though we still have to see if the other's age also changed .

 

LOL  Moms best friends theory can work I wouldn't be surprised , but I would rather think that Soma's mom was the one being chased  . I think the cousins theory has slightly no basis  like the first one bc of the Surname thing  , not that it can't be done but it needs a major twisting and filling tons of holes .

 

Like you said this is manga after all and anything can happen , but since the author already shared the info with us , it makes no sense to push for this nonsensical  theories  just so a paring they prefer can work .

I think its because we all had trauma about a certain fandom having almost next to 0 logic yet winning in the end thats why we're concerned about how this will turn out.

Narutard Trauma obviously. I though, also find it hilarious that they are even bothering to shoot down SomaX Erina with such a flimsy excuse such as "OH they might be siblings." when incestuous subtext is not at all uncommon in Manga/anime.

 

Erina haters are also probably butt hurt anti-tsundere factions that just rat on and hate such characters for no good reason with out actually looking beyond face value as a character. Now granted I don't necessarily love all traits about a Tsundere and truth be told I do fingd them over used, but I am actually able to look at them objectively as their own character and can root for them to pursue their romatic attraction because I'm a fan of improved relationships in stories.

 

Point being these fans are just as ridiculous as the hardcore NH fans

They are over used but that's how Japan loves it. Actually, it was said to be classic and very effective. Even Gintama made a note on this trait saying that Otaku are huge suckers for tsundere. My guess is that it's the most popular one. Well, at least in Shounen. So long we don't invade, it all go accordingly. I'm not saying it must be tsundere to make it win, but if the story fits and that person is one, well, my only advice is "Deal with it."

I don't get it, the guy flat out said Erina will start falling for Soma soon, yet if they're sibling, why give us awkward feelings. I mean at least in Gundam Seed, they never went like "I have strong feelings" rather just being the most developed one, only to say they're sibling and they never speak again. Honestly, the latter is what pissed me off. It almost made me forget that boy and girl can be friends without resorting to romance. Why they have to make feel taboo.

But that's my problem. Look, I already knew the endgame, but I never got the reason for it, rather it's just her being cute and smart, which they're fine, but the development was lacking. The problem is Kira was with Flay (Fray) this whole time. So what is pushing Lacus and Akira? Just being adorable because of the art style that was presented? That's why there are mixed feelings about it. It's SAO curse. I didn't care about pairing in that series, but it never felt like I got the reason to care for.

That's true. It's just that those series are my childhood and I always look forward to new ones. Though I'll say this, the sequel shouldn't happened nor talk about. It's like Godzilla movies when needed to be done in 5 months, it's laughable. It's not the worst but how many stock footage can you count? Did they really lose budget? Must be Gintama. Good, because Seed series was already overrated. From what I heard, it's often called Naruto of Gundam: very popular but overrated and pretty flawed. It might be true. I have the whole collection but haven't seen it with my grown up vision, so I think it's best to leave it as a memory.

Well, back to Soma, spoilers should be out tonight or tomorrow. I don't know why but I once have that chapter 699-700 bone chills at one point, but now I'm calmed. It did help to have the writer to already said Erina is going to start falling for Soma. So if the plan is to have them siblings, why. It wouldn't make any sense, even if they managed to find a way. I mean, I understand that a certain Narutophobia makes us more sensitive towards "pairingwars" that involve girls such as Erina and Megumi, but we're a bit overhating, aren't we I just don't want this turn into a hateforum and pairing war again (which most likely is unavoidable).
