That's something I noticed, some shippers don't care how their pairing happens. They don't care if it makes sense, if both parties reciprocate, if the progression was believable, or even if it happened on screen. If their pairing happens, they 'won'. That stuff makes me... sad. I don't see the quality or ... point in jamming 2 people together just to be together.

People can like a pairing for whatever reason they like, but I can never agree with, "Because they're cute together", "Because XYZ sucks and doesn't deserve ZYX", "Because I like it and that's that, reason be damned, I'll just twist everything to suit my needs."

I think in passing I even saw some people say Hinata deserved Naruto because she has a kekkei genkai. Another subplot (which I feel has long been forgotten by Kishi) is that you can do just as well as someone else who has all the privileges, talent, and natural advantages if you work hard enough. If they seriously think just because Hinata has the byakugan, she deserve Naruto then.... then they just want their pairing to happen. They don't actually care about the story at all.

I also saw some posts saying the Kyuubi chakra would boost Hinata's eyes somehow and she'd get a new powerup (I honestly can't see that happening, not to down Hinata, but I can't see her getting any power boosts, maybe that's also a sign of her development stopping?)

I saw another suggesting that Hinata would guide his attacks or something.... but what is the point in that? Naruto is perfectly capable of knowing where to attack....

And the Byakugan has ALWAYS freaked me out. *shiver* I don't like the veins and I really wish they had pupils or something. I mean, I guess Ino's family doesn't technically have pupils either, but her eyes aren't like, nearly completely white you know? White eyes just seem like something from a horror movie. Where did Kishi think up the Byakugan anyway.... surely there was another way.... XD

I can't find a way not to be biased, but the funny thing is that NS development and being canon really flows the story well, while NH will be rushed and out of nowhere and SS will be confusing for many reasons. I guess that's why that one guy in the comment board mentioned that Naruto falling for Sakura really follows the story perfect. NH could have avoided this but it's too late now. Everything from this point forward is rushed and hurts the character as well as the plot in the long run. That's just me.

I just got into a debate with an NH fan who used the whole "Off-panel" argument. I don't care what argument anyone uses, but this one is such a terrible point. Anything could happen off-panel, but somethng that important would not.

I don't know James I feel that Kishi preferred pairing is NS since he focus most of the time on that pairing plus his 1st official movie was about them, but with all that said the momentum has heavenly shifted to Hina>>>Naru NH however you want to call it.
My only stance right now is that I believe NS will be canon, but I don't think we can look on NH the same way we did before.

I'll be honest with you Don-kun, I am more worried about the quality of the manga than NaruHina right now.

I would be more accepting of NaruHina if it made sense and it doesn't. At least, not the way this chapter is making it claim. It's too fast, too forced, and ignores the rest of the continuity of the manga.

I think that this is the bigger issue than if NH is canon.

I am sad to say that I was like one of those people. Sure I had good ideas, but it was all too narrow focused. Now I see the real truth in the quality of the manga. It's no longer about getting what I want in terms of pairing choice, but the quality of the manga that I am reading. I am even more sad to say that it took this chapter this late in the game to realize it.

Completely agree. What would the point in a powerup to Hinata be? She is not important to the plot. She is not central to any end struggle between Team 7 — and ultimately that's where this is going. The parallels from Obito's team which have been unresolved, and the problems within Team 7 itself which has been unresolved — neither of these involve Hinata in the slightest. (But they do involve Sakura!)

That was just a clone so the real Naruto could go meet Sakura in her bedroom for a candle light dinner, a rose peddle bubble bath, and one long night of Heaven and Earth.

BTW, Rock lee trashed the cake after he got drunk. Something about the cake making fun of his mother or something
