Well one big reason for NaruSaku is, its the most reoccuring and developed. We see it as a relationship should be, all the good and bad. So much of the manga through both battles and downtime between arcs, we have seen joy, humor, depression, saddness, anger, fear, and hope in both Naruto and Sakura, even at each other. This exists so many times with events like Sakura finding out about the nine-tails and akasktui, the 4 tails event, naruto finding out he hurt sakura, Sasuke leaving both of them (sai arc), Sai telling Sakura about Naruto, Naruto telling Sakura that their efforts making them feel like they are closer to Sasuke, Naruto being shocked at what Sakura would do to Sasuke, the notion of hope for Naruto to give team 7 a good ending, etc. There is mostly good but also bad in their relationship, but even with those events, even in the short time after the confession before going to the turtle island, Naruto and Sakura still have a very close relationship, this can still possibly change (still so many story elements for it too).

Simply put, NaruSaku has a lot and just plain a lot in the story because its been there slowly spreading out and coming bit by bit as they both went through some trials, being both related and unrelated to Sasuke.

Lee does love Sakura, but yeah its a glorified NaruHina, it actually has no development, theres only a notion of it, even then Sakura only shows friendship for Lee, unlike the times when she put on more, openness to Naruto like in the feeding and hug scenes. Again Sakura is a tsundure girl, at this point she acts normally friendly with naruto and gets angry at times at him depending on the situation (for humor or to keep him in line as Sakura does not want to take the heat from an angry tsunade) but she also shows more openess than normal to him at certain times (like the feeding and hug scenes), more or less thats how tsundere characters are at times, Sakura is very friendly to Naruto but at has a limit to what she shows, at certain moments like the feeding, hug, 4 tails, and notion of dying with Sasuke, she shows more than she normally would.

NaruHina has more than LeeSaku (and I actually prefer NaruHina to this, Lee creeps me out). Its just if NaruHina is minimal, than LeeSaku is very small, like 10X smaller than NaruHina, Lee likes Sakura, but its not like kishi can just end Sakura's development and "stash" her with Lee, thats even worse than NaruHina. Still nothing as the unholy kittenfest that would be SasuSaku.

I think the best arguement for this point for NaruSaku above all other potential pairings is this: Its the most reoccuring, developed, and consistant. Its the most realistic because Naruto and Sakura have experienced the good and bad several times. They have been both motived and letdown by each other. They have both experienced joy, saddness, anger, confusion, fear, humor, and hope at each other. Both have helped and hurt each other. Both felt proud and happy for each other. Both have felt undeseriving and a burden on each other. Naruto and Sakura have been at the good and bad ends together and because of each other. Yet through all the good and bad, they keep going with a close relationship, is that not what a good relationship is?

NaruHina I only see one sided stuff for Hinata and her own self harm from pain, and sadly Neji was sacrificed for this, I only see one way motivation to Hinata in NaruHina. Hinata just draws from Naruto for herself, Naruto was strong because of his will to keep moving on and the friendship from others (notably Iruka and team 7, his first family). Hinata only did one major thing in defending Naruto and returning him to his senses, but even then this is still dwarfed immensely, I mean again in Road to Ninja, Naruto and Sakura have their own fight but still keep going, and should it be non-canon, it still just shows more of what we have seen between them before (just more gradually in the manga, RTN is a movie so the emotion has to be there faster to fit the situation).

SasuSaku was just idealism, it should only be reduced to fanfiction life support, Sakura will get some event around Sasuke, but its not like she will forget or not care for Naruto, she has close feelings for him, is it love? Maybe or maybe not but as a character Sakura needs some development for finality with Sasuke and Naruto and she cannot return to loving him otherwise her whole character gets reduced at once. Remember it was Naruto who changed Sakura, not Sasuke. Sasuke cut and run. Sasuke only had an effect on Naruto. We just hope that kishi does something proper with Sakura to keep her in character and give a believeable resolution to Sasuke, I mean she can forgive him due to Naruto's support but loving him? Nah cause it was selfish and idealistic in the first place, kishi even stated it was selfish so it seems like he even acknoledges this so its something Sakura cannot keep. Its almost like he has an obligation to turn her away from this if even the author says it was a selfish trait, a negative character trait at that, this is bad for Sakura to keep, even he knows it, its perfect for her best development though and thats what character development is about, overcoming the greatest problems be them external or internal. Sakura's feelings for Sasuke are her biggest internal conflict, this is what can lead her to some great development if kishi lets her "overcome" or come to terms with Sasuke, no need to love Naruto, just get over Sasuke and let go, if anything its more about Sakura maturing herself.

Wrong in Kishi Manga girls and when I said girls I mean fan girls, the only go for one guy (Sasuke Uchiha) no other buy in the Manga have any loveless Fan girls. I repeat No Other Guy In The Manga.

I dare anyone to show me a panel where girls acted weird, gather to create fan girl club over a buy or gone in full mode aggressive to get the guy to notice her.
Sasuke is Kishimoto's darling and he made almost 90% girls get excited around him, Sasuke is the Justin Bieber of this Manga since all girls lose themselves around him, in other words he is the pop Starr from Naruto since he even has that effect on real life girls.

Sorry can't agree it goes beyond fangirling. They fall in "love" with the image and idea of sasuke being amazing and perfect. Looks play a part as well but they fall in love with the books cover and don't bother to open the book.

I'm really annoyed that Sakura could still hold any feeling above freindship for sasuke at this point. It's starting to irritate me that she still can't see Naruto for what he really is to her. She still clings onto the hope of Sasuke returning and just dumping Naruto if he did. This is why i really feel that Naruto should be taken away from her, just temporarily but long enough to send a message to Sakura saying "Now do you realize who Naruto is to you?"

To TBH SS will never work, ever. They couldn't ever trust each other after trying to kill each other, Sasuke doesn't care about her at all and she just fangirled him. It's very much like NaruHina, other then the fact Naruto is nice to Hinata.

What pisses me off is that she still feels that Sasuke would be a better choice then Naruto to some degree which just drives me insane... HOW??

Conclusion: Sakura, open your eyes dear and see thst Naruto is far more then Sasuke will ever be.

I'd consider Hinata a 'fangirl' of Naruto. While she isn't cheering in happiness every time he looks her way, she does admire him and even 'loves' him even though she doesn't truly love him and she hasn't had a real conversation with him in years.

That's a good theory. I do think Minato will meet Naruto, just not during the battle. Again, I think having Kages defeated was meant to happen to let the generation of the ninja alliance to actually defeat them. Not saying Madara will be defeated, but his plan will be ruined. I do think Minato was revived for solely to meet Naruto. I mean there's nothing he knows besides thinking it was Madara behind Kyuubi's incident, so that doesn't help. Minato and Naruto will have a final closure. When you look back, the last time they talked was about believing in him. Now, I can see that Minato telling him that he's ready to be Hokage and he will bring peace for sure. If he can break of Edo, I want him and Naruto to bond before he goes. What I would like for Kishi to do, though the chance is slim, is to create a scenario that Naruto don't want him to leave because he feels like he has a family, but his team, mainly Sakura, will tell him that he has to go because he's already dead and such. It depends on the situation but one can wish for more time.

Right. Especially since he doesn't even know that his own student was the one behind the mask. So Minato will definitely have to be involved regardless to bring Team Minato's story to a close. I also agree with more family bonding time. I really wish for a scenario where Minato takes over the Hokage position again temporarily until he deems Naruto ready to lead. I'd like to see that awesome moment where Minato hands him THE CLOAK customized for Naruto as a last parting gift. When that moment comes, Minato will completely fade into the afterlife.

The happiest day of Naruto's life would also be one of the saddest days in his life... how ironic .

P.S.: Since the only one missing from Team Minato right now is Rin, I'm almost wishing she could be revived as well. I'm wondering if Ei or Oonoki would be ruthless enough to resort to ET'ing Rin as a last desperate measure. If they're not going to use one of their ninjas, I think Black Zetsu might be an option since we haven't even confirmed it's still alive or not.

Not quite the same but it's something, since I really believe Sasuke is a pop start and no guy is compare to him in Kishi Manga, that F G Club and the way the kiss the grown he wall is quite something.

Where does it say that she still feels that Sasuke would be a better choice than Naruto ? Or that if Sasuke comes back , she is already decided that she would be with him ? Maybe that is how she felt all the way back in part 1 , but she has come a long way from that and I think her feelings have changed . At the moment , the best we can confirm is that she is still confused .

She still has feelings for Sasuke , but is starting to look at it in a bad light (540)
She knows Naruto loves her
She has come to realize what Naruto means to her ( confession)
And maybe closest to what you say , but not really , is her statement after they meet Sasuke in the Kage arc , when she says that Naruto gave her hope that there can still be a happy ending for everyone in team 7 (at least that's the translation I've read, I think there are other versions too ) . Well , this happy ending for everyone thing is confusing. Happy ending for her I guess it would be Sasuke coming back and starting to have feelings for her, but for Naruto is Sasuke coming back and Sakura having feelings for him . As for Sasuke, he doesn't like happy endings ... not sure what outcome would make that guy happy ...

I don't think so, but that's fine. Imo his words during the 7 swordsman was mostly because he highly respects her now. Concerning romance he hasn't expressed anything serious like other characters with one-sided feelings in part 2.

I hear a lot from posts here that Kishi said the movie Road to Ninja was supposed to foreshadow future events in the manga. Does anyone have an link to an actual interview that says that, or at the very least recall seeing that interview in some site instead of just hearing it from someone?
