I slept at 12:30 PM, woke up at 4 am, slept again, then finally got up at 4:30
 
Why do they change the lecturer? That happened here too. Only in one to two first weeks of class. Then it will keep like that until the next semester.
 
I don't know snow is like water. Can you send it here? I'm interested to everything about winter. Even when the weather is cold enough to make our steam(vapor, fume? Something that's like steam that comes out from breathing when the weather is cold) visible, I usually play with it.  
 
We did. But then everybody slept over at friends who lived in dorm. I went to my grandparent house since theirs were nearer. I regreted a bit why I didn't slept over too I mean, if I knew I would go home around midnight, it's better to slept over. There's a friend (boy) who was kind enough to accompany me home

Lectures was changed because we got tasks before, so we could go anywhere, I stayed on lecture of other group... just because 
Snow is different, it can be prickly when it's cold. You never tried it?

Good for you, that there was someone who took care of walking home with you 

Kick the man or assailant on the most sensitive part or punch his nose and run away while calling for the emergency hotline, just in case you encounter one.

If he is armed I guess. If he wants money or valuables then better give it to him than be injured or the worst case scenario.

Weekend! Time to report my experience to you!

 

I went to ISI yesterday. I have to admit it's not the pleasant one.

 

It was raining heavily since afternoon. The night was cold. Apparently it was performance from the students. It's exam and they performed their singing in karawitan skilll(?). It seemed to be like that. The event was held in Pendapa. You know pendopo, right? It's an opened place so the weather felt worse. We thought it would be until 10 or 11 pm only but our lecturer said it's until 12 pm then after that he would take us to see the karawitan (alat musiknya). We wanted to participate but it's so sudden. Raining, cold night, and got home around midnight at that time felt not good. I don't know in your place but for the girls who is still outside is so worrying. Just think about what if there would be something that shouldn't happen. Plus there's new case of criminal who attack people on the street. We decided to get home secretly.

Aaah I remember those term...karawitan, it is the singing and music style...what kind of gamelan you watched? Is it the javanese style or something else? A bit unfortunate that you didn't get to experience to play it. I'm not sure about you, but I do like javanese gamelan because it produce this kind of creepy sound...add on the singing and you will get a goosebump  . The first time I heard the student sang, my groups went speechless and we were like  and   . It was awesome and scaryyy!!! 

 

Well, when we were there, even we felt a little afraid since the road was seem to be...suspicious when the night falls. It really has become dangerous now? Wow, even need to get home in secret...that was really something 

 

Weekends. I'll probably spend my time being lazy.
And sleep.

 

Too bad I can't do that tomorrow   . I need to chauffeur my brothers to their respective practices  . Lucky you

We watched the students played javanese gamelan. We got the class of it. I keep asking to myself, "when we will get the chance to play it :cry:" I will treat the music instrument well, like a newborn baby, afraid to touch, fragile to carry  

 

That is what I like too! Some people also find it scary and now there's horror story that said that there's certain song that has horror aura, or something like that I like the sound anyway, I find it very interesting! It's just the language that I don't understand. They use krama inggil of javanese it seems. I'm glad you're one of the people who like it as well! 

 

Oh! There's a movie that use gamelan as it's background music. It's Tobey Maguire and Katie Holmes' movie. At first I thought I heard it wrong but then I saw in the credit, there's "gamelan" there

Why? Are you the only child, or all-girls siblings, or live far from them and rarely meet? No need for an envy, sis   . Come over here to spend some time with them too. I tell you, they can be really prickly and annoying, and I need to talk with my fist rather than my brains most of the time...the way they are...expressing their loving side is...unique

Well, one time we had a collaboration show with the student there when I had that music trip I told you, after it ended, our groups were brought out of the institute for a late night supper, since all the stall inside the compound already closed (it is midnight, for sure it was closed  ). During our walks, the street was really empty, but I don't know why, it seems to be a bit peculiar and suspicious since, you can even count how many people you saw on the road. Our groups are mostly girls, only 4 to 5 boys including the instructors, so we can't help but felt a  little insecure with the unfamiliar surroundings. Fortunately the institute provide us the accommodation inside it, so I guess we are much safer that time.

I have an older half sister. She's married and lives far away. She, my brother in law and my niece and nephew can only visit during holidays or sometimes I visit them during vacation. It's fun being with kids.And did I mention that I am the youngest in all of my cousins. Life is unfair. I want to become a big sister and spoil my little sibling.

I'd trade anything for a little brother or a sister. I tried asking my parents before but they only laughed ate. :cry:
