Why are you so caught up on definitions? Ecchi, fanservice, whatever. And why are you being so aggressive? I'm not someone who "convince himself is only fanservice" because frankly I don't care. I suggest you bring your tone down.

Still, I continue to follow the series. It is a enjoyable manga, that's for sure.

sorry if im tired of it. im tired that nobody ELSE realizes its ecchi, becuase it makes it okay for them to read. (granted some dont care whether it is or not......like you and are okay with it)
but thats my beef with it.
then again i guess its my own fault for reading such a manga.
i thought fairy tail was cool (it didnt show that much when it started out)
but now EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER theres gotta be a panty shot, or exposed boobs. and dont get me started on the angles.
one piece doesnt have as nearly as much crap as fairy tail.
i guess as a girl im sick of it. but again thats my fault for putting my expectations to high.
to bad....i like the action....and im getting into the story.....its sad that i have to stop reading it because of something this stupid......but i have my pride, and I rather leave with it.
Then that's too bad. I'm a guy so I'll never understand how you feel exactly. I do agree Hiro has been amping up the "fanservice" lately but like you said, I don't care. I still find FT tolerable to read so I'll continue reading it. I have my own "beef" with FT but I don't post it on a thread full of FT fans.

Then you'll have my sympathy.

To me, Fairy Tail has always been on the borders of ecchi so it should have been a warning to those who dislike that genre.

I know it's hard to accept but as a girl you aren't really Fairy Tail's target demographic. Not trying to be mean, just telling the truth. When Hiro draws this kind of chapters he thinks of entertaining his male viewer, after all, this story is published in a Shonen magazine.
I'm sure there are some stories in shojo magazines that are incredibly thrilling for girls, but for guys they would be pretty annoying. But guys really don't have the right to even complain about those annoyances since those type of stories weren't done with the opinions of guys in mind. It's the same when it comes to some shonen stories and the girls that read them.
Since Fairy Tail also has elements to appeal to both sexes (like the emotional stories and action scenes) it will also draw in female viewers. But this being a shonen manga it will inevitably be filled with moments that are meant to be entertaining exclusively for males (ecchi, fanservice, however you call it).
A little of topic but I once heard that Kishimoto was surprised that he actually had female fans. It seems he originally thought that only guys read Naruto. If Kishi (the guy who felt too embarrassed to draw Sakura in a bikini for a cover page) thought that he had no female reader, imagine what Hiro thinks.

I think Mashima goes too far sometimes, I mean there is no need too put so much stuff, it is also becoming quite annoying to me, but I guess this is just because I'm a girl xD oh well, I'll just ignore the useless boobs fanservice and enjoy the manga as it is

Not to say you don't have a right to complain, but on that same note, it's going to continue, and I find it pretty easy to ignore.
But with Bleach, Naruto, and OP in Japan being so large in popularity, Mashima is trying to sell and in the publishing world, sex sells. Simple.

QFT. I'm a girl, but I personally don't mind the "ecchi" or fanservice simply because I love the story.

a guy taking off his shirt isnt anything new......

I don't understand how a guy taking off his shirt can't be fanservice for girls...? IMO FT is full of fanservice for everyone; that includes pairings, male and female sexual innuendos and even instances of yaoi/yuri for those crack pairing fans and those that just lilke ecchi with a splash of comedy! Maybe I'm not bugged by it because I love the story so much that the fanservice is just an extra push for those that might not like the story so much, as it is a business after all. I hope you'll push on and read Fairy Tail as its story evolves. But your opinion is your opinion and you are entitled to it! I'm just making my own case on why I feel the way I feel about the manga *saying this so you don't feel like I'm attacking your OP or anything*
On a side note, IMO the story has definitely matured in the past two arcs and I'm looking forward to the aftermath of it all *hue NaLu huehue HNNNGGG*

That is called a double standard, and I blame society for that.
my fanservice would be a guy saving a girl or something.
and that is called a plot point.

and that is called a plot point.
plz its not hard FOR me to not consider it fanservice.
my little bro walks around without a shirt everyday. its nothing new.
i see my neighbors sometimes walk around without a shirt.
its not a double standard. girls CANT take off her shirt, so when she does, its called fanservice.
but when a guy doesnt it......its nothing special at all.
cause its not forbbiden, like when girls do it.
if the girls werent doing any fanservicy things this chapter i bet no one would even notice the guys without their shirts. i know i wouldnt.
course it could just be me.

No that's a society double standard. Women in other parts of the world can take off their shirts and tops without it being such a big deal. So yes, it's a double standard.

no. im not talking about other parts of the world im talking about JAPAN. im talking about the places where it isnt right. come on now.
a girl taking off her swimming suit is akward for me.
as akward as it would be for a guy taking off his trunks in public.
and i dont see THAT in fairy tail......hmmmm i wonder why.
i dont know what im more upset about, that you think all that fanserive(ecchi) against the girls (taking of the lower and top of the swim suit, having somemone swim in their underwear, all the wierd angles only toward the girls)
is the same as a dude taking off his shirt, which is normal.
or that im the only one that feels this way.
