I saw it as a realistic take on handling things between the past and current. I already wrote my thoughts but I really thought it was a solid chapter. Winner, that's anyone else to complain but really it made sense why it all ended short. And I'm glad that Shounen usual "rapid change because of the protagonist told me so!" was discarded.I'll give my quick impressions and will reread the chapter later: Absolutely did not want Bakugou to win. Nonononono. And the fight was too short :( Wih that being said, I'm interested to see Bakugou's reaction after he wakes up... That's not how he wanted to win. That's an interesting move Horikoshi pulled though- letting arguably the most hated character win. And Shouto seems to be still confused about his fire side.

I thought the chapter was good. It was a nice fight, but too short. Bakugou winning was something I didn't expect at all, but it looks like character development is incoming for him. He has been shaken quite a lot lately... None of the fights he had went as he wished. With Ochako, she lost the strength to go on; bird guy give up, and Shouto got thrown out the arena.I saw it as a realistic take on handling things between the past and current. Yeah, hopefully that pays off. The fight could have gone on longer but Todoroki lost his will. Ice has been used up too much at this point, so fire could have helped a lot. But again, he just lost in his own world. But even so, Bakugou was tired out anyway. The idea of the chapter or rather the tournament most effectively on Todoroki.I thought the chapter was good. It was an unusual finale tbh. It wasn't there to show off the winner, but as a way for both to reevaluate their goals. Oh, let the rant posts begin!!Yeah, hopefully that pays off. Lol in before NU01.It was an unusual finale tbh. It wasn't there to show off the winner, but as a way for both to reevaluate their goals. Oh, let the rant posts begin!!
But realty, I was fine with it. It's doing a good mix of personal and action so far.

Someone on another forum mentioned that another option for Todoroki's path is to aim for #2 instead of #1. I could see this happening, this way Todoroki won't have to live up to Endeavor's ambitions, while at the same time becoming the hero he wants to be. Another reason for him to do this is because he believes Midoriya deserves the spot more than anyone else because it was Mido's efforts to get through him that he saw that Mido was, in every sense, a true hero.
He would later declare his goal to be the #2 hero that everyone looks up to, one day.
The family that couldn't be.

Now now, chapter was pretty good. Todoroki got mentaly broken (what it is, third time?), niceeeeeee~ Good luck healing your mental wounds.
Now Bakugou... We already got the idea that he thinks that he's the strongest (even tho Midoria beat him down without quirk, and can kill him in oneshot even with 1% of his power) and want opponent to use 100% of his power in their fight. But this final move... he flew with rotation to get move energy... and he hit the ground before Todoroki, so that he was beaten up not even by punch but by explousive wave... okay I let it slip that he could use ice wall to block that at least partly.
So what character development Bakugou will gain? I mean, really? How many selfcentred people irl you saw, that got what they wanted and changed their attitude even a bit? I let slip other fact, that Bakugou's quirk is seems to be unlimited while author stated himself that it has limit per day. In general - it's not Bakugou's win (Todoroki didn't even do nothing to couter that blow), it's just that Todoroki lost will to fight.
Buthurt Bakugou is incoming, yeah, that will be cliche part.
For Todoroki it coud've been great oportunity to grow (he would've win only by using whole 100% of his power, both, Ice and Fire) and that would change his view of things. But now... nope.
Didn't expect interuption of tournament, only stupid people would send their comrades in nest of their enemies.
