I wouldn't take him that seriously dude. He's always favored SS over NS anyway, since that's the only way NH could actually have a chance of happening.

No dude her feelings for Sasuke are one thing. Her feelings for Naruto are one another thing.

She was lying about not feeling anything for Sasuke anymore, and that, we already know. But all she said about Naruto, it was the utter truth.

At the point of the confession, Naruto knew that Sakura was being dishonest about her reason for approaching him, and it seems that it was the primary emphasis of his comments to her during that scene and the foundation of his anger toward her. Even without the confession and Sai's involvement, he would've still believed that Sakura loves Sasuke. He still would try to confess to her after all this mess is sorted out, though, and it's obvious he's still trying to win her love, based on how he phrased things to Minato. And it makes sense. Romance really has no part in his life, at the moment, when they still have to take care of a huge mess. 

 

This whole series focuses on how actions convey one's feelings and how they are more important than words. Naruto saw how much Sakura was suffering, which is why he took Karui's punches and protected him. He wanted to protect Sasuke, himself, and, by virtue of that, he also wanted to reduce Sakura's distress about the matter. Besides, the whole point is that just being together allows them to understand how they both are feeling about something. 

Except that he needed Sai to explain to him exactly what Sakura was up to, and Sai had to explain exactly to Sakura that her promise was hurting Naruto. Besides, even though he knows that Sakura likes Sasuke he still has asked her out on dates like in the beginning of part 1 and RTN. Not too mention that he called her his girlfriend despite Sasuke being present. In the middle of a war.

 

I did laugh when Kakashi said "Love doens't need a reason, hate does!!"

It's official, Kishimoto has no idea what romance is. This sums up the romance and most of the plot after the Land of Iron Arc in a nutshell. What an idiot!

Are you sure? I have a feeling that part 3 will happen.

I hope not, the last thing we need is for this story to be dragged out even further than it already has. According to the description of the movie it is a project that will go BEYOND the manga. Still not 100% sure if we're getting a part 3 or not but right now all indications are pointing at the manga being over after part 2.

TBH, I always thought that confession of hers was a complete lie. I was still expecting NS to happen in a convincing way despite that, but the more this war went on, the less likely that seemed to be the case. And now we're at a dead end, there's no way Kishimoto can make NS convincing after this. No way.

Yeah and Sakura has mixed feelings about Sasuke and Naruto. It's clear. Because Kishimoto is making her changing her feelings. That why this chapter would make no sense at all in mangastream version.

It seems like we think similarly. I'd rather have Sakura end up with Kakashi than a lame guy like Naruto or Sasuke.

Well, Naruto needed the clarification, because, while he knew that Sakura wasn't honest, he didn't know what she was up to. 

 

Well, in all fairness, while Sakura did like Sasuke, she never was his- not that a woman is a man's property, but you know what I mean. They never were together, so it's not like Naruto took a step out of bounds. They were friends, and he likes her, so why not spend time together? He wanted to be with her, but he wasn't forceful about it. Besides, the whole point is that he wants to win her over. He wants to confess to her, and, as he said to Minato, things haven't been going the way Kushina said in that regard, which indicates that he's still trying. 

 

Sasuke hadn't arrived, yet, when Naruto said that Sakura was his girlfriend, which she didn't explicitly deny, by the way, as she had in Part 1 in front of Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon. The only person in front of whom we could say he made that indiscretion is Hinata. Even if he were there, it's not like it would've been an affront to Sasuke, if this week's chapter and previous developments are any indication.

lol... that makes even more worse from SS's pov... She is suffering... It's like loving him it's really a big pain for her.

Ah, yeah. Definitely, that sounds truly awful. Why would people support a love that causes her to suffer? Only her, too.

And yet Kakashi validates it.. meh. Kishi and Kakashi know her love is only negative, and yet.. It really seems like Kishi deliberately set the romance subplot back to square one. Maybe to resolve it in the movie?

That was also awful. Kishi validated the "love doesn't need a reason/doesn't make sense/is irrational" kitten we get from SS. They BOTH need a reason, wth?

I still can't figure out if Sakura is still under that genjutsu of if she just passed out after the genjutsu. That bugs me.

 

But I don't agree with you guys on this "love doesn't need a reason, it's hate that needs one". I actually think love doesn't need explaining. You love someone and that's all. But when you hate someone, it's because of something he's doing or saying. They're is always a reason for hate. On the contrary, love is more about chemistry than a reason. When you fall in love with someone, it's hard to explain exactly why. I think it's because it's too much about magic and chemistry, and I think when you fall in love with someone you can't help it. It just happens. I agree with Kishi on this one.
