Also yeah its kind of weird how VIZ can be biased sometimes, and other times they actually are slightly pro NS as oppose to choosing the ambiguous route or the anti route (referring to the end of chapter 663)

Can someone show me the post that talks about VIZ's translation of Kushina's words? Someone on this forum, I don't recall who, made a very large post with the RAW to show that VIZ's translation of "Don't choose the first girl that comes your way" was incorrect.

my version isn't much different from ramenanmitsu or mangapanda. The point is that it's impossible to twist the real text, that's all as it's written.

Both translations, only mangapandas is otherwise the closest and non-biased one.

 

I mean even with Viz, all you need to know is the difference between "find a girl like your mother" and how viz made it "dont fall for the first one that comes your way." thats all the evidence you need. So should there be another event like that or this where it somehow favors, well they arnt thinking too far ahead. This is exactly why the 631 event was just overseen and otherwise should have made them go "dur guess we war wrong with that one, we was." No really, even when that head guy made something on 615 about NH being canon when things were still far from over, thats the novice type of stupidity that just shouldn't even exist in a place where people like him should be professional otherwise they have no clear concept of how original dialogue is. Its not even that, the fact the story was still long from over, the fight with the ten tails was just starting, to assume it was all over then and there, thats why I dont see Viz as credible.

 

Its like if some country translated the dialogue of vader's famous line to luke in episode 5 from"I am your father" to "I am your uncle" do you realize how kitten insane that would be? It would be the same event here. Otherwise, yeah I'm with the others on this one now, Sakura's love is decreased and slowly going down. She will change towards both naruto and sasuke (continues to I mean) and SS will otherwise become friendship in the end.

You know, the only part I'm upset is the use of "totally". I use that word and nothing against it but don't change something that's not there. Anyway, I agree with rozatte. First impression makes me think ambiguous. Now, well it's still is in a way, but SS is dead is still an option, not "you lose!" So if you think otherwise, it's ok. Give it more time and you'll see the answer that you're looking for.

One last thing: keep in mind, we the one that have Star Wars Episode 3 with Obi-Wan telling Anakin, "I love you." Just saying.

But still goddamn. I mean its a good thing Sasuke left the village and then later happened to become evil during a short period of time otherwise we wouldn't have had the seeds of doubt be planted and change everything.

Well I was bothered the use if "totally". Like radical, man!

What I've understood by the reading the original is that Kishimoto's trying to tell us something deliberately ambiguous by the Kakashi's figure.

First of all, he starts with the fact that feeling she had for the Sasuke at that time (the presentation of team 7, chapter 3) is changed into something different. Mind you, it isn't "something better" but literally "something different". He tells us that even though it's still love, her feelings are different now compared to those of that time.

At the end he tells us that she still thinks (not love/like!) a fellow who tried to kill her. And, in spite of this ("No matter what happens"/"Whatever happens"), she is still willing to save him because he believes it's her duty (for herself, non for himself).

Honestly I haven't seen anything very romantic by reading the original. But that I have seen more than a bond of friendship towards someone which she felt romantic feelings for at that time.
