Evidence is that she couldn't bring herself to apologize to him mentally and redeemed herself, and you see the way she rebounded after she held Naruto's hand? That justifies her dire need to sacrifice someone close to her like a brother. Like what Orochoimaru said about Itachi not being close to his family, you can link that parallel with Hinata. Itachi was seen crying or shedding a tears when in the flashback right before he left Sasuke and Konoha. The tears were not meant for Sasuke only, but what he had to do to his clan, kin and family to protect konoha. Neji's death to Hinata is very essential to keep Naruto and her alive. This to me is more evidently enough that Hinata is willing to throw everything away, including herself for if sacrificing everyone, including the people closes to her.
Now you go back to part 1 in the Chuunin Exams. Did she cheer for kiba too when he was dueling Naruto in the preliminaries? Was she concerned about Kiba's health after, taking beating from the Uzumaki Barrage? Now I like to fast forward to Hanabi. Now this gets interesting. Has Hinata and Hanabi's sibling relationship on good terms? Last I know, Kishi never give them a bonding in the manga? The last I seen was Hanabi talking venom about her in the stages of the Chuunin Exams. Over the years, a lot of people interpret that Hanabi envied her elder sister because she was born second and Hinata was weakling. But everything has a reason behind a facade.
Take a look at her father Hiashi. He activated the birdcage seal on his twin bother's forehead because of disobedience, but when Hizashi offered to sacrifice himself in Hiashi's place. We see beneath the temper, antipathy and superiority he had over his brother. That profoundly, he loved his brother. Did Hinata ever expressed affection toward Hanabi like any elder sibling would do to a younger brother and sister? It's clearly that Hinata had deprived Hanabi of that affection because she was too busy, chasing Naruto like a sick puppy. Not from Hiashi keep them apart. I have to give a guy like Itachi credit. Even though he had a busy living, avoiding his family. He some how managed to make time for Sasuke.
Even Sasuke at least cared for his family. What about Hinata?
Hinata has always been portrayed as part 1 Sakura's lust and obsession for Sasuke with Naruto. It was never about how the boy felt.
Which this leads to mentality part of her character. Frankly, she doesn't care about naruto's feelings just as Sakura didn't cared about Sasuke's feeling at all. It all about the body, never the heart or the inner demeanor. If the boys died. The girls' worlds are destroyed. That is why some of the suicides that has happen in reality is due to obsession. If people can't get what they want or desire. Some take their own lives. And I more likely expect Hinata to commit suicide if Naruto dies perm in this manga because he's her only salvation for her to live. But it doesn't mean she loves him. Only think she does. And what pissed me off is that she's using everyone words for her own benefit. Sure everyone wants to protect naruto, but not in the way Hinata visions it.
All she does is she speaks out for herself. never in the best interest of the fate of the world. This is why Kishi is trolling either us of SS and NH fanbase with the chapter 540.
It is completely red herring to believe that Sakura was thinking about Sasuke romantically when she ab bonded him in the Team 7 reunion, only to take naruto's side. This is where the trolling begins because the image of a burnt Sasuke was embedded in her head when the fodder ninja said that, "He must be a great guy."
Whose to say that she was thinking about him romantically and she was sad about because the way he is beside the author himself? Evidently, the reunion proved the image of Sasuke in her head is considered red herring. So how can the be logically explanation that shes sad because Sasuke stoop too low when she never shown any signs physically or mentally to redeem Sasuke and to express her so called fantasized affection for Sasuke? She had already threw it away sometime during Part when her feelings for naruto had grown immensely over the course of the manga?
Kish seems to me that he doesn't want NS to dominate the pairings of Naruto manga, so he came up with that unclear thought of Sakura still having romantic feelings for Sasuke after chapter 540, even though she may not had thought out Sasuke romantically, only referring to the mistake that she made in her life and come to terms that her feelings for Sasuke was nothing but an infatuation and never love. Sure this would give a valid explanation to why Sakura was smitten when she thought about Sasuke.
I do believe this is only for dram entertainment. I woudn't worry too much about NH becoming canon when clearly kishi has no intention of ending NS in the mang by far.

I have to disagree here, Kishi is portraiting Hinata's love differently she's not forcing her love on him lately and also a selfless on some parts, first example of this was despite her selfish desire, later when Neji died, he didnt even said love, he made Hinata's second attempt of sacrifice her life as something selfless like even He and all the others Kiba,Ino and etc.. were also capable of doing the same, they are there sacrificing their lives for him not because of love but friendship, which made it seem that she wasnt too much selfish, later even the handholding she keeps a distance towards Naruto she didnt blush then she did the comment of a shy girl but for me Kishi is giving reasons that she would be fine if she does not end with Naruto.
the rest i agree, Hinata as no dreams or desires of her own that does not include Naruto maybe if Kishimoto wants to develop her character would be her dealing with her clan to resolve that issue.
but i dont think so since she's a side character.

in an arc which the main villain(tobi) is obito, his motive to start a war so he can be with rin in the matrix like dreamland?
do you think obito will tnj him just like nagato? and with what, with naruto says "ooh i have hinata who love me, who think about me, who see me, and who stlak me. poor you obito."
no last time i check naruto didn't think about hinata in a "romantic" way. yes it indeed NH moment, but more like hinata>naruto.
you must remember what NS fundament, it is naruto love. and who say sakura(and rin) didn't considere their feeling?

I disagree with the bolded. I don't think Hinata is so amazingly self-absorbed, that she would shed tears that weren't for Neji's death. She really was crying because she missed him. Hinata is very selfish, but not that selfish. Everything else I agree with.

Yeah, good point. Though maybe they do. After all, they think Naruto is in love with Hinata. So maybe it's their mind playing tricks. Yeah, maybe they do have a marker!

616 was pretty good chapter in my opinion. Well, at least the best out of the Shounen in that week, because it felt like we are finally moving. I think the color pages stole the show though. I love it.

Is it really that surprising? For any person who's not a Hinata fan or NaruHina fan, the chapter was terrible. Naruto was degraded and downgraded so Hinata could look better like you couldn't believe, Neji's last words were cheapened by Hinata (who only said what he said, just more shippy and longer. Hence that's the speech everyone will remember.
I could write an essay about how terrible 615 was.

Lol. Well, people did also pointed out the problems about it, but oh well. I do think 616 got 1 spot because of its color pages. I mean that color spread is simply one of his best. Very detailed textures and what not. Not to mention the confirmation on the hero status.

Maybe someone sent Kishi that Hinata is a heroine, so instead of just having a nice spread, an extra line will ease the pain.

616 was also one of the better chapters IMO.

Lol true. What I liked about it is the turning point, as the alliance are countering attack and more strategic tactics were in play. Not to mention, it gave more shine to Team 10 with a good closure to their developments.

That's completely false. He wants to bring peace to the world through absolute control of everyone. If all he wanted was to go to a dream world he could just cast the jutsu on himself. If he wanted Rin back he could just use edo tensei.

True, trying to make an absolute peace. His peace is to be with Rin, while others will have to decide on though I think Obito may have the control on that. I don't know but he did offer Naruto to be Hokage in his world.

Because as of right now it's 1:30am in the morning, and I just realized that I spent more than two hours debating against an NH fan (although it was a total ego stroke for me- even he admitted my points were good
I procrastinated in the past by playing video games, but even then it wasn't this severe. Am I getting too obsessed? How do I grow out of it?
