I'd like to use a quote from one of my OWN comments on a YT vid regarding this subject, as an addition to Catsi's posts.

Haha, my grammar is actually pretty bad.(run-on sentences and problems with punctuation) But you could definitely get away with calling me a spelling nazi.

curiosity question: Why do you guys feel as though naruto's feelings won't change from sakura to hinata?

now, Before you answer, I want you guys to think about his time with those two, his character and their characters, the treatment and things he's done for those two, how they've treated him and what they did for him, their confessions, and how things would be if naruto chose one over the other.

Plus, if you can, please tell how you think hinata's confession couldn't and shouldn't change naruto's mind?

If Naruto's feelings haven't changed by now what makes you believe they will ? What makes you think it's even in Naruto's character to give up on something ? And what in the manga has ever suggested NaruHina ? What exactly has he done for Hinata that he wouldn't do for any of his friends ? What time has he spent with Hinata ? Not only that but he said it himself that he thought she was plain looking. Obviously he doesn't find her physically attractive.

Why would her confessing change how Naruto feels about Sakura ? If Sakura loving Sasuke never dissuaded him to let go of his feelings for Sakura why would Hinata confessing to him dissuade him ?

Mal, I'm starting to get the impression you don't want NaruSaku to happen. This pessimism is reaching a point where you're ignoring the manga almost entirely.

I'm sorry if I appear that way and believe me when I say I do want it to happen, I have been a fan from the beginning, I'm just pessimistic because I am filled with doubt. Let's face it, out of all other pairings, ours is the one that gets bombarded with the most flamings, criticism and problems (Sasuke.) what's got me worried is that with all of these critics we get, what if there really is something that stops us from being canon?

BTW, let me clarify one thing: I AM NOT NOW NOR WILL I EVER BE A NARUHINA OR SASUSAKU SHIPPER! I'm just having concerns about the whole confession issue. it kind of set us back a bit in the war. I'm worried that if the confession was a lie, it may or may not be, i'm considering it might be a lie due to it's presentation and kakashi's, sai's, yamato's, lee's, and kiba's reactions. I'm worried and wonder if all naruto did for sakura couldn't make her fall for him, what will make her fall for him?

I haven't been back in awhile I can try a crack at this. Zin has a point Naruto's character is pretty much a constant. Sakura's character is actually much more involved then Hinata's character. Come to think of it before the confession she hadn't been seen since the Itachi-Sasuke arc. Personally I think he should be surprised by Hinata's confession however that doesn't change the current facts and arcs. Since the Hinata Confession we have learned via Sai that Naruto does in fact have feelings for Sakura. From a manga standpoint Sakura's character has actually done so many more things with Naruto that to equalize with Hinata is absurd in my opinion. The thing about Hinata is been stated before if she were to a more relevant character for Naruto she would be included for page time. However Kishimoto has not shown that so do I think Naruto's mind should change? Not really. If Hinata were in fact a greater character then she should pose a greater arguement however we have not seen the same support from her as say from Sakura.

Also if you were looking at it from Naruto's perspective there isn't much from his side to Hinata as for Sakura. Because the question I would ask in repsonse would be what has Naruto exactly done for Hinata recently? And what has he done for Sakura recently?

Pretty much my take on that. I'm kinda vague and in a rush today.

guys, I thank you for helping me gain some confidence back in the pairing. Now that I think about it, Hinata really hasn't been the perfect person for naruto nor has she really talked to him, and on the other side with sasusaku, they tried to kill one another. if that doesn't kill the romance, I don't know what does. From what we can tell, naruto, despite his earlier declarations, holds nothing against sakura for what she did and still acts like he did before, like her best friend. which, BTW, is how he acted before when it was clear he was in love with her and will be forever from what I can tell. And seeing the opportunities sakura has had to bond with naruto on deeper levels, which ironically are always stop by some interruption, the things she has done, the parallels we have seen between the couples, the risks she is willing to make for his safety, and the feelings she has displayed, I am pretty certain she is in love with naruto, either that or she needs another push.

Cause they know their pairing will never happen and NS will. They are just jealous thats why they keep bombarding this pairing because of all the progress and hints made during the manga.
Common if you seriously think about it how long has it been since Hinata's confession its more then 50-60 chapters(which is over a year) and Naruto haven't said a word against her or even looked at her. The 1st girl he met after defeating Pain was Sakura who hugged with joy while he totally ignored Hinata.

When Sakura confessed to him he was blushing (Sakura aswell) and shocked and thought something like that could not happen cause he thought she still loved Sasuke which obviously changed(you also see his memory of team 7 and sasuke/sakura being shattered in his mind which means that he has been blind all this time).
Even during the latest chapters hints and paralels have been made towards NS.

I at start was abit of a doubter that this might not happen(since i was confused about chapter 474 aswell) but after reading most posts here in this thread especially from the Sakura confession chapters I am not anymore.
Most explanations given here about those chapters are true and I totally started to understand it after rereading them a couple of times plus looking at the drawings.

But this is just my feeling of things.

Frankly, the best advice I can give you is...If you can't stand the heat get out of the fire. I debate on other forums too. The barrage of anti-NaruSaku arguments is constant. But, if you step back and look at the manga in its entirety you find none of those arguments actually ring true. They are based on singular moments opposed to the entire manga and they always work at an angle. Often using double standards or one point of view to attempt to obscure what's actually going on.

But honestly, if those posts are having that much of an effect on you I'd suggest taking a break for a while. When you're absorbing THAT many negative points of view it's bound to effect your ability to reason from a neutral position.

As for Sasuke, I'd say that 483-484 were meant to be closure for Sakura. She truly realizes what he's become now.

I agree with Insurrection as well...

(Edit: But really, if you start to feel overwhelmed by the negativity and constant anti-NaruSaku comments. The best thing to do is to take a break and come back when you can think clearly.)

Not sure what'll happen the very next time they run into each other again. I think Kushina saying that she fell in love with Minato when he complimented her hair was a foreshadowing. Seems to me the bench scene will be addressed at some point or another.

And you're more than welcome to join another "kingdom". Derock is part of the admin team, and therefore he has the right to enforce forum rules. Otherwise there'd be a million internet tough guys shoving opinions down each other's throats.
