Arrival

 

The aliens have arrived and came to kill us all.

No, it's not that kind of a movie. It's actually a pretty good sci-fi movie. Just like trailers you have Amy Adams called to try to understand the aliens language and communicate with them. The movie plays a bit with "flashbacks", now there's a good reason I put flashbacks in quotation marks. Pay very close attention to those flashbacks and you let's see how long it takes you to figure it out.

A good movie that doesn't go the classical route of aliens have arrived now let's go all America on their arse.

Doctor Strange 8/10. Awesome action scenes, but a very plain plot. In my personal opinion anyway, nothing happens in after the half way point and, Dormammu probalby won't show up again despite being on a threat level similar to Thanos.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

 

First of all I didn't want to go watch this movie at all, but a relative of mine wanted to see it so I went as well.

And honestly for the first time ever I almost fell asleep in the cinema. This movie was so boring, so uninteresting, so uninspired, so lifeless, so dead, so dull, so predictable, so villainless.

 

I've seen on imdb it's getting high scores, 100% all from old Harry Potter fans.

If you liked Harry Potter, go watch or read Harry Potter. This movie is a pass.

I actually have waited for this movie to come out online with english sub in so long lol.

 

Sound, scenes and the way the movie is handling zombies are so great! and the actors/actress chosen portray their emotions wonderfully (the zombie acting was so great). The movie really shows how humanity is today, some people willing to fight for others to live, and some are opposite

Moana: 6.5/10

 

The movie didn't really do anything wrong, but at the same time... nothing really innovative (besides the nonexistant romance). I was sitting in the theater, thinking to myself: "Oh, here we go again with the typical Disney (princess) formula." Songs are catchy, but not mindgripping (I also thought Moana's singing voice was rather weak). The movie also lacked from not having a defined villain. Maoi is surprisingly a kitten and has periodic mood swings. Seriously, I did not expect his character to be like this. On the other hand, Moana's personalities was surprisingly similar to Rapunzel's personality.

 

Overall, enjoyable movie, but wouldn't pay money for it again.

There shouldn't have been a narrator talking from the beginning of the movie starting from the studios till the last word in the credits  

 

It was a lot better without a narrator talking and, plus, talking in 3/4 of the movie

Rogue One

 

The hype was real and so was the disappointment. Yeah I said it, disappointment. It was incredibly filmed, great special effects. But that's all it had going for it. One of the problems with the movie was the lack of caring for its characters. It tried to do pretty much nothing to care about them. In episode VII people said about Rey that she was a Mary Sue character because she was able to do a lot of things. I completely disagree because we saw in what environment she grew up, so knowing what she knew wasn't a stretch.

Well I call Jyn a bipolar character. When she was introduced as an adult she doesn't really care about the rebellion or hope or any of that nonsense regarding going against The Empire. But after seeing one hologram of her father she goes into instant rebel leader giving speeches to others, just like that. It was like flipping the switch.

She lacked development and so did the rest of the characters.

Spoiler You Have Been Warned

Which is understandable because they all die. And I know I'm going to sound like an a-hole here, but thank God they died, because we're not going to have another movie with them.

The movie was an ok/meh more meh movie, it just wasn't a Star Wars movie. The two scenes with Vader are the only remediable part of the movie. The acting was mediocre at best. If it didn't have the Star Wars name attached to it; no one would care about it.

 

Final words, if you want amazing well filmed scenes and great special effects then it's a thumbs up. If you want a movie then it's thumbs down.

Star Wars Rogue One 10/10- another epic installment in the sci-fi franchise great movie love every minute of it I shipped Cassian and Jin though I was expecting everyone was going to die but their sacrifice was never in vain.

Rogue One- 6/10. Enjoyed it when I was in the theater, but after watching it, realized that a lot of parts of the plot and characterization really didn't "click" for me as well as they might have. Really liked K2-SO, Baze, and Chirrut, and thought the last 30 minutes were pretty spectacular, but the ride to get there left a lot to be desired.

Honestly I can't stand her. Attractive? Yeah. Actress? No. From what I understood the budget for the movie was 120mil $ and 40mil were just her salary. And that amount of money for her acting? Hell no.

I saw a couple of interviews with her, and she tries to convince people that she's just a "normal person" but the thing is every single time I saw snobbery.

About the movie a bit of a spoiler

Anyway about the movie I forgot to mention that it reminded me of Cast Away with Tom Hanks if he would've done something to not be so lonely anymore. Hint. Hint.

I didn't like Joy that much. However I love "Silver Lining Dating Book" that was a great movie and it was the reason why they started dating. I like Jennifer's acting she did great in the Hunger Games and the X-men movies.
