Is nobody paying attention to the fact that.. yes, Hinata gave him a RED scarf, but Naruto is never shown wearing it besides in marketing? He's got his blueish green scarf on in the trailers.
Sasuke gave that.

So Kishimoto said the story is above love

she had to wear that coat to cover up the uchiha necklace.
Why?She's the waifu of the last Uchiha.

Orlynao?
No, but, really, I want to know if it could possibly have a special meaning and play a part in this film. Maybe it does mean that she'll have a part in the romance subplot of it, if it's what they really mean by "love," but they don't want to spoil it too much?
I'll always be there to catch you when you fall.

I thought she was the one being targeted but then Hanabi gets kidnapped instead.

Looking back over all the recently updated information, I still don't feel the need to be anxious or uncertain. Like certain other members who have managed to keep a leveled head have already mentioned, it just feels too coincidental that Pierrot would be portioning out this much screentime and publicity to Hinata while offering little to nothing for Naruto, Sakura, or any other characters. Their game plan appears to be to shove the Hyuga's #1 underdog down our throats as much as possible without consideration for what we may desire in terms of information regarding other characters. All of this feels so similar to the red herring debacle from Road to NInja's buildup. Think. The conveniently aligned quotes, the imagery of Naruto and Hinata together, the obscurity of anything related to Sakura... It's just too easy.
Right now I'm wondering why in the hell this ancient descendant of Kaguya is taking an interest in Hinata of all people. You would assume that he's been carefully studying the hierarchal structure and goings on of the Hyuga Clan if he intended to make a move against them. If that's true, why Hinata? Wouldn't Hiashi provide more power or a stronger set of eyes to whatever nefarious scheme he has in the works?

Lol.Kakashi looks bad in Hokage costume.

You know what would be even better? If Sakura and Naruto are already canon in the movie and haven't told Hinata yet.
That would be laughable.
Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

Yeah but.. why Hinata? Wouldn't it make sense to go for Hanabi?
I think this guy might just have issues with the hyuga clan. and yeah XD
unless....the guy isn't actually a villain or just starts off as a villain and ends up with hinata killing nh pfft

EXACTLY. we lack information so I'm not gonna pull my hair out because of a minor teaser showing nothing that's efficient. We're really just getting a taste of what the animation is gonna look like. Seemingly better than the animation from the last movie and hopefully more cpnsistent.
Anyway we don't know where Naruto and Sakura stand. We don't know where Naruto--> Hinata are. Just the obvious. HINATA LOVES NARUTO. If she still seemingly has feelings for Naruto, then thay means Naruto and Sakura likely aren't together. At this point all I want is CLOSURE for SS when it comes to what happens in the manga. From a marketing standpoint making NS canon wouldn't be a very promising move at all and would basically shut down their way of promoting now. Just kill off SS. Lol
Just because Hinata still loves Naruto doesn't mean that Naruto and Sakura aren't canon already by the movie.
Look at Jiraiya for example. He still loved Tsunade after all that time and she was with Dan.

What if these things are happening only in Hinata's dream?

For some reason I really think that Hinata and this new dude are going to end up together

Oh, so Hinata does get kidnapped later. Eh, whatever!

Wait how do you know Hinata gave him the scarf? I didn't see anything like that in the trailer...
When she is falling in the trailer she holds red scarf in her hand, same that Naruto wears in poster. And when Naruto was little Hinata saw Naruto with red scarf so she wanted to give it to him.
