This manga has potential. And that's it. Just a potential. And we believe kishi will deliver it.

I wonder how much of these quotes are genuine and how much they're meant to cover his tracks and try and convince NS fans that they're idiots who misread the manga. It's already happening here. We need to stand resolute in our reading of the manga. NS made sense. They wanted to stand besides each other as equals. The development was slow and gradual and logical. A forehead poke and stalking does not make a strong, fulfilling relationship.

don't say me... I think the first part of Naruto was the best shounen I have read ever. And Kishimoto's writing skills were godly. Then he changed due to marriage, kids, he lost with the story which has become more like Dragon Ballish, etc..

IMO the "timeline" of his interview makes no sense. To say that he decided early on NH is utter BS to me and seems like he's just trying to save face.
Yeah he decided on NH early. That's why they barely interacted throughout the whole manga

That interview...I don't want to say I told you so, but...lol.
I tried to warn ya. As I've said before, though, Narusaku isn't dead. There's lots of talented writers and artists in our fandom, and it will live on in fanon so long as there are people who love and enjoy it. You don't need canon to enjoy a ship!

I think I expressed myself in a bad way, I meant that I wouldn't like it if he decided himself this late in the story. But I still think it was at Hinata's confession that he made up his mind. All the fake confession arc was his way of killng NS and the rest (Kushina and all) were just some teases or us looking too deep in something that could have just been an advise from a mother to her son. Though Minato's comparaison is still a mystery to me if that were the case.
Let's just agree to disagree on this one, i think the "fake confession " arc was a mistake by kishi, he already said he was trying to show a honest girl, however most of the fans didn't understand sakura's motives
What influenced NH mainly was that the poor reaction to the confession helped sakura's popularity decrease even more, and thus hinata's popularity to increase.
IN the end i think the deal was sealed by 615

At this point it's like watching NASCAR. Nobody is around for the main event anymore. Just the car crashes.
Is it awful that I am getting so much entertainment out of this disaster?
I think this is what is keeping me going Nate. At first I was so mad, and I still kinda am, but with all these new leaks and interviews all I can do is laugh. This entire movie is just one big joke and the butt of it all are the NH and SS fans. This thing is going to stink of ass pulling and that victory that they are so happy about it going to be revealed to be fat lie. We have the manga and what it stood for, they have a movie that will just show you how much characters have to change to make the canon pairings sound some what believable. Kishi can try and cover his ass, but so far he's just digging himself deeper and deeper. He's insulting fans, women, and his own characters. No matter what anyone tries to do to justify this movie the truth about pleasing fans and money is coming out on Dec 6th.
It's dsgusting really. And I stand by my original thought that he wanted a pairing for Sasuke first, then NH came later.
(And, as an aside, as Chatte pointed out, why bring in Karin so heavy at the end? Just as a plot device to heal Sasuke? Ugh. I was never a SK shipper at all, but I have to admit she had a point. And it would have worked well with the whole Yin/Yang theory. )
I think the truth is Kishi never cared about the romance at all. Not that he was a bad writer, he was just kittening with every ship he could. Then in the end he picked one to continue the series with.
The upside is that, you're right, he is detonating himself in a spectacular fashion. It's just a huge wreck.
I'm past the heartbreak of realizing it isn't going to work out, when the last chapters came out. Now I'm just in utter disbelief at how this whole thing is going up in flames. I suppose that some cold comfort at least.
I couldn't agree more. I am literally in awe when new information comes out. It's like I think the worst is over, but then I'm mistaken and what damage has already been done is just drenched with gasoline and set a blaze. However in a way it's comforting to me, as twisted as it sounds, because all of this is how we'll get justice in the end. I went back and watched almost every Naruto movie, and this one, is going to stick out like a sore thumb. I mean really, it just stinks bull, but hey NH and SS wanted it, they can have it

I cant see NH being together no matter how I picture it the two just dont have any chemistry at all and no major development, all they will have is this asspull movie......I call it now how much I bet you he kills off hinata in the next series cause he cant portray naruto having any meanful interaction with her I wouldnt be surprised

SMH so now they looking over the few manga scenes to try and justify it ??? OMG well them best look over NS scenes then as well as the parallels supporting NS hell even the former movies .........................................and we are the delusional ones WTH
Any normal naruto fan would be disgusted by how this all now became about Hinata. The last movie isnt even consider team 7 in any way thanks SP and kishi your stupidty continues to show.

So this film is just here now for the sake of glorifying NaruHina and SasuSaku? Ugh... we should have seen that coming from a mile away.

Huh, we already knew since the first trailer that it was about glorifying Hinata. Nothing on SasuSaku so far, but I'm sure Kishi put something there.

There's supposed to be something about NS/NH/SS here so is anyone willing to translate it?
