It's amazing that making NH/SS canon can really harm the story. I really tried my best not to sound biased but there's many problems to it that people don't really realized.

The point is, if SS happened then we have basically wasted years of development that might of well not happened. Back to square one so to speak

The problem is that even the Sasuke of the past still didnt did the things that Naruto did for her, he did nothing the new one and even the old one, she loved him but still nothing justify that love, because Sasuke didnt influenced her, the old one and even the new one, this is so true that her only moments that she thinks she's in love are one-sided moments of her own, like his parting and that hug from behind to make him stop but 0 good memories she even states that she was happy because of team 7 not Sasuke so he's not a huge influence on her life, after Naruto, Ino and then Tsunade are the ones who influence her life.

After the confession i thought she would find reasons to love Naruto or continue loving Sasuke but she only find reasons to love Naruto and move on from Sasuke.
She said the truth on that part of the fake confession she was honest with herself, why loves a man that is a criminal and only make her suffer when she's close to someome who makes her happy, protects her, encourages her, and it's capable to go to the hell for her, and still pursue a relationship with a guy that only made her suffer.
Even when she was going to kill him her memories were about her one-sided moments i thought we would get a flashback were Sasuke did something to her that really justify her love but we got nothing only that "thank you".
This does not make sense anymore, SS will undo all those things she realize and bash her character.


If we compare Hinata's flashbacks of Naruto to Sakura's flashbacks to Sasuke, Hinata's love is way too much superior(reasons).

Bolded: Completely agree. That is exactly why Part 1 Sakura was IMO a terrible character that was not worthy of being Naruto's love interest. It's amazing how outlandishingly blind she was to Naruto's feelings and how he cared so much more than Sasuke while simultaneously putting Sasuke on a ridiculously "He's so perfect" pedastal. Her love for him was so fantasy-like and idealized, it wasn't like she actually fell in love with the person he truly was. Sakura didn't understand him at all (not by lack of trying). She fell in love with him because she saw his flaws? Yeah, right. Sakura did not see his flaws, she just sugercoated him into what she wanted him to be. True, Sakura did know his troubles with his Clan and pitied him because of it but she didn't really see his early darkness. Not really, she put the entire blame of Orochimaru, she didn't want to believe that Sasuke was such a shady guy because it went against her mental idealized Sasuke. I facepalm everytime I see her blaming his violent and dark behavior on the SasuNaru rooftop fight on his Curse Seal when that was actually the real, uninfluenced Sasuke.

I really want to say I will still like Sakura's character a lot if chooses Sasuke. I really want to say that but I can't because I'd be lying to myself. If Sakura chooses Sasuke ... her character will be destroyed to the point of no return. I'll still like her personality and would never hate her, but I would be so angry over it. I'm more Naruto-biased than I am Sakura-biased, admittingly. So to just see her brush off and not return Naruto's feelings after going through so much with him, how he purposely ignored and hide his own pain over Sakura's love for Sasuke, and was always there for her just ... just makes me rage. All the character development potential she had would be burned to ashes in the panel of SS becoming canon. I won't hate her, but she wouldn't be in my favorite characters anymore.

That's why I said in my last post I understood Hinata's love for Naruto 90%. That 10% is because I still can't get over how she loves him so much when her panel time with him is so little. Her reasons, though idealized-ish (She admires his determination that inspired her, not his true persona. That's because she doesn't know him well) still make more sense. Though her love does come off as confusing admiration with love pretty strongly in some instances.

You just resumed Sakura's character.
With Shipping.

Kishimoto does not have balls to develop her character anymore, now her dilemma is "Sasuke or Naruto" it's basically this the entire part 2 aside from Sasori's arc and backwards, i cant think otherwise other than this, Sasuke's retrieval with shipping stuff towards both Naruto and Sasuke, then more shipping stuff on the second time, even the arc with Hidan and Kakuzu she did nothing, aside from shipping stuff towards (both Sasuke and Naruto), first with Naruto on his training and later with Sasuke on the part that Deidara explodes himself, Pain's arc more shipping stuff with Naruto going to train and her screaming for Naruto, then her hug(after all this fanservice towards Naruto) suddenly kishi pull more shipping stuff towards Sasuke (when they receive the news that Sasuke joined Jorge's Organization) then we get the confession arc with more shipping stuff towards Naruto (confession) then Sasuke(with Naruto saying that she loves him and his flashbacks) then more Naruto shipping stuff (with his bridal style) then later more shipping stuff with 540 and her thinking about (Sasuke).

This all instead of her having a fight and acting like a main heroine should do instead of having her role downgraded to basically shipping stuff.

I love Sakura as a character, but as a heroine she's been almost a complete failure for the last few years.
Kishi has had so many opportunities to at least have her do something significant throughout part two, but after the Sasori arc she's largely been relegated back onto the sidelines.

It's not that hard to throw in some panels of her physical development here and there, like when Naruto was going through his Wind training. He could have included a couple of panels showing Sakura training at the same time, and later on use it to justify having her become stronger. But no, she's stayed the complete same through hundreds and hundreds of chapters. Sure, mental/emotional development matters in the story too, but at the end of the day it's still an action/fighting-focused manga, and Sakura's had little to no progress in that respect.
Even worse, her role during the second Team 7 reunion was a complete disgrace to her status as the apparent "heroine." There, she's put into a damsel in distress role not once, but twice, relying on Kakashi then Naruto to save her life due to her emotional incompetence. Then at the end of the confrontation, she basically goes, "Oh I was useless in the end anyways, the only thing left to do is to do nothing and let Naruto resolve the problem."

At this point, so long as Kishi can successfully grant Sakura a proper power-up and have her at least play a major role in a fight, I could care less about whether NaruSaku becomes canon or not.
Because if all that remains of Sakura's development is for her to move on from Sasuke and finally get with Naruto, then she will have been nothing more than pairing fodder and a trophy wife for Naruto.

Not only that but that shouldn't even happen to begin with. The developments of Sakura for Naruto should have stopped at the end of part 1, let alone how much romantic tone was given in her scenes with Naruto. It just wouldn't make sense and wouldn't make sense for Naruto to even have those feelings. The parallel shouldn't even happen and make them either no mention of romance (exception of MinaKushi) or downplay it a lot, especially ObiRin. So my question is whether these developments mean anything or not. Our mind will be clear once Sakura is in the picture again.

Yep i agree completely.

I couldn't continue supporting Sakura character at all if she shows any sign of romantic interest in Sasuke again. I'd just give up on her and call her a waste of a character space. I'm pretty pissed with her at the moment but i know she can make up for everything she has done to Naruto in the past by becoming someone useful to Naruto, strong and determined and not just cry and scream for Naruto when kitten goes down.

This is more so with Sasuke.

P.S - I've noticed since my first comment about Sakura's love for Sasuke everyone's jumped in the boat with me, but i honestly believe she really needs to sort her feelings out and grow the kitten up

Its like you guys already said. Sakura ending up with sasuke will only mean one thing: Sakura is a character without development, or more like going back to the start.
It seriously make no sense to develope a character just to throw it all away in the end. I think its not even possible to make bad writing like this. For me SS is slready dead long time ago.

Mangapanda releases the chapters very early, so I read it first. But it's not the most accurate translation, then I'll say mangastream.

But I personally prefer mangafox and narutoverse.org.

Better: none, probably the Viz but they even make errors and sometime they're like mangastream.

Mangastream distort too much from the original. Mangapanda is poor and make a lot of errors but at least they're trying to put it just as sounds the original

I still keep to say that the most right solution here is learning japanese and reading original manga by you own perception

Mangastream seems like at times catering for people who are modernized to today's world, like additional swears or additional words that has the same meaning but stretched out.

If the sakura absence is really aggravating you than take a hiatus and focus on something you like to do; getting angry over a fictional character won't really help.

Well, this forum (as with all other Naruto forums) was created for the purpose of discussing characters and plot in a fictional story, regardless of whether such discussion is positive or negative.

I respect Sakura and enjoy whatever action she does participate in, but even I think she needs more than the Sasori and White Zetsu situations. Hell this is why there are fillers and movies for stuff like this, fillers arn't the best but as long as characters get some time for action, I'm okay with it. I mean I'm at least content they give her action in these. Fillers don't count yeah, but at least its more chances for them to participate, not really happy about some of her fights being in the anime (like in the sora and chikara arcs) but its still action more than what the manga gives us. Sometimes I sadly think the fillers end up doing more for characters than kishi did. I mean where else would we see more reason for characters always in the background like Shino and Tenten? Not the best on Sakura's part when her action falls into fillers, but its still giving her and many others something that the author and manga never had time for.

Agreed, though the problem is that within fillers, Hinata is almost always given out-of-proportion focus, along with abilities that she doesn't even have canonically (since when was she also a med-nin? ).

Thats cause Studio Perriot and the majority of the bad fanbase suck up to Hinata. I still stick by my statement that Perriot could make a poster of Hinata taking a crap and her fans would still buy it, while if they made a poster with Sakura doing all her accomplishments in the series, they would only buy it to burn it.

I don't think Studio Pierrot would ever place Hinata in a bad light. If they were to make a poster of her in the bathroom, it would be of her showering and showing off her "perfect figure."
Do you remember that filler back in Part 1 where she was shown bathing naked in the waterfall, with emphasis placed on how beautiful Naruto thought she was?
I'm not even going to take into account the fact that she was a thirteen year old kid at the time...

People were seriously discussing it on another forum as if it were of huge importance, and when I mentioned that it was filler, the response was:
"Hinata's kittens > filler."

The level of stupidity that exists within the fandom is almost mind-boggling at times.
