And on top of this they way Naruto was treated in his youth, especially by her just.....She really needs a reality check. She needs to be told how selfish she was in the past.
The Summit arc brought all of those unmentioned issues to light. To this day I believe the Summit arc was the most emotionally dark arc in Naruto. Everyone became a mess there.
You have Kakashi resigning himself to kill Sasuke even though he still loved him.
You have Sakura having an emotional breakdown for realizing the unintentional pain she brought to Naruto.
You have Naruto becoming so unsure of himself that he ended up passing out because of the pressure of how to deal with Sasuke.
And finally you have Sasuke immersing himself so much in the darkness that he betrayed his current team (Taka) and nearly killed Karin and Sakura.
It truly was Team 7's darkest hour.
If Sakura's speech in 573 is anything to go by she's already determined to be with Naruto no matter what. Now we have to wait and see if Kishi will make that become true or if he made Sakura say that just for show. I would find it completely ridiculous that in this monumental battle Kishi decides to give more relevance to Hinata then Sakura. It would truly be insulting to her character and I can't believe Kishi would think that lowly of her. He even has a keychain of Sakura in his office desk so it will perplex me if Sakura truly is relegated to the background.
The Samurai cover page of 616 makes me believe he hasn't forgotten her importance in the overall story. Otherwise it would just be the typical Naruto and Sasuke cover page, and Sakura would be nowhere to be seen, or it would also include Kakashi since he's also part of Team 7. Also, something the majority of NH, SS and anti-NS tend to overlook is that Naruto and Sakura are standing side by side in that cover page while Sasuke is a scroll in the background. It's probably not a big deal but for Sakura supposedly being Sasuke's destined lover she's hilariously more associated with Naruto then him.
But even I'll admit that when Kishi return to the battlefield he better start showing Sakura because as of now is getting ridiculous how absent she is. Even during chapter 617 people from all fandoms and even reviewers kept wondering where on earth did Sakura go when Naruto needed someone to fix his shoulder. Whether it was people who hated Sakura that mocked her absence or people that like her and where disappointed at seeing Hinata do the fixing, it did make people talk about Sakura not being there. This makes me wonder if Kishi truly used Hinata in that chapter as a means to make people think of Sakura, because whether they love her or hate her people did bring up Sakura.
