Magic is generated by the strength of the heart. Someone with a big heart will have big magic. Someone who has suffered a lot, who is compassionate, and who treasures their emotions and their bonds with other humans will be stronger. That's why Erza is so insanely strong, because her heart was broken once and mended to be stronger... All the FT crew are like that... That's the recurring theme of the story (and a general shounen trope, although the bit about it generating magic is unique to FT.)

How strong are Natsu and everyone now? It's almost like there is no scale to compare anymore, Erza just defeated the entire game of Monster Hunter in one sitting, Natsu defeated two dragon slayers with ease when they are both at a level strong enough to defeat a dragon, (even though it's likely that Igneel is more powerful that the other dragons except for Acnologia, so you'd expect Natsu to be have a higher level to reach to beat Igneel.) and Laxus took out an entire guild.

This is getting ridiculous, Ichigo in bleach level ridiculous.

FAIRY TAIL IS NUMBER ONE!

Honestly, just when I think the manga can't get any better, Hiro-sama pulls out one of these chapters. I remember thinking before reading it that Natsu probably wasn't going to win, or maybe he would run the clock out, or maybe he would use Dragonforce himself somehow. But wow, none of the above sure was a pleasant surprise!

The best part was definitely Natsu's face while beating Sting and Rogue. Just that perpetual smirk. The guy's having actually having fun beating those two down. I only wish Gajeel had a bigger role. Hopefully Gajeel vs. Rogue still happens, I was more curious about his backstory than Sting's anyway.

Anyways, I really don't give a fart-and-a-half if he's too OP, or if this seems too out of nowhere. I kind of realized during Day 3 that the tournament was meant to be seen as a dynamic evolution of Fairy Tail power. On Day 1, both teams did horribly. Elfman's victory and Natsu's speech on Day 2 helped them begin the rebound. And now, on Day 3 and 4, with Laxus, Erza, and Natsu's incredible fights, we're finally seeing the power that made Fairy Tail the #1 guild seven years ago. The friendship theme might seem overdone, but it's also kind of what the whole manga's based on in the first place, so it's not really too surprising to see it being used again. This battle marked a huge milestone in the fight with Sabertooth, in that we're finally seeing evidence that their hardline philosophies aren't invincible.

Also, speaking of Sabertooth, what's gonna happen to Sting and Rogue now? Is Genma going to kick them out, or make an exception for his strongest team?

Lol, that cover, you might as well start drawing hentai Mashima... and that fated day thing is starting to feel like Frieza battle, it was only 5 minutes, but it felt like hours. So, will this arc also involve time travel, because either that or a good part of the cast might get killed for good, taking Levi journal in consideration.

Yeah, I tought about that too, it's unlikely for Mashima to make drastic changes like this with part of the cast getting killed off, so someone from the past coming to fix everything would be a possibilty. But if that's really future Lucy, how does she have the same magic as Zeref? Well, she will probaly be shown next week.

Yeah I had the same thought as well, time travel is not something completely out of the question with Mashima, he did it in Rave Master afterall. So if it does turn out to be Lucy it's wouldn't be completely shocking.

So do we find out next week what happened or will it only be the start of the beginning of the end...or something like that?

Gajeel, found a Dragon's Graveyard...wonder if this is where they found the Lacrima for Laxus and Cobra, either way quite a revelation.
