I also noticed that in the epilogue kishi made Sakura's hair look like mikoto's again instead of kushina. He clearly changed his mind somewhere along the way about how he wanted to do things. Or maybe the series ending was out of his control so the spinoff was to get a new contract? Because the SasuNaru fight felt rushed and there just wasn't time for aftermath.i mean as much as I love Sasuke I don't think he should have had the end monologue of 699. Naruto barely said anything. That chapter was only abut Sasuke. Ss was the only one that had interaction, so NH should feel bad that they became canon on default because SS went canon...whjch is the only way they would go canon. But yeah it felt random. I'm not even mad, if anything I can laugh about it.

 

no...what I want to understand is how a crack ship like chouji and karui became canon. The fact that they never interacted and from different villages meant that SasuHina was very possible. Ah so close haha

Well I figure as a long time member who never says much, I figure I should make my final post a doozy

 

You fail so much as a writer kishimoto, I can not believe how easily you have completely ruined Naruto. Sakura's character is dead and Naruto is nothing but a coward. I am going to forget this atrocious ending ever existed. For your own saftey Kishimoto I hope you quit writing manga.

 

I will still have good memories though. I was a fan of NS from chapter 3, when we truly were the laughing stock of  shipping communities. When that lil boy looked passed that lil girls insecurities. I will remember when Naruto first used shadowclone and Sakura for the first time thought he was cool. I remember Sakura teaching Naruto the trick to tree climbing. I remember in the first part of the chunin exam Sakura wanting to protect Naruto's silly dream. I remember Naruto fighting with his life an beyond to save Sakura from Garra when no one else could. After this I really started to think maybe NS had a real chance. Then i remember Sasuke leaving and Naruto making that heartfelt promise. That is when I knew NS was meant to be. I remember there reunion and Sakura noticing how handsome Naruto has become and wondering if he thought she had matured and blushing well doing so. I remember how distraught Sakura looked when she learned why the akatsuki were after Naruto. I remember when Naruto became 4 tails and Sakura tearfully ran towards him thinking only of him. I remember Sakura saying she could only do the smallest things for Naruto and Yamato's sentence being interrupted.I remember when Naruto hurt his arm from using rasenshuriken and being excited when Sakura said she would feed him. I remember when Pein had destroyed the village an Sakura desperately called for Naruto to come save them. Then i remember Naruto returning to a hero's welcome and Sakura hitting him for being so reckless then holding him close and thanking him for saving them

 

To me this is when Naruto ended, after this point it was like it was written by a different person. Naruto was the manga that got me into manga, before it I had watched DBZ and gundam wing and that was it. So i will always be thankful to Naruto for that. Now I can move on and read manga by much better authors who do not give into pressure and absolutely ruin something many people spent half there lives reading.

 

I wish to truly thank the H&E community. You made this long time lurkers time here an enjoyable one. I wish you guys all the best ^^

I said I wasn't going to read it but I did. I needed a clousure for this ( A clousure that naruto and sakura didn't have hahaha). Seriously, this is the worst. Since naruto didn't fall in love with hinata in the manga, they made a movie to show us that, bullsh*t. And Sakura? What...My words can't even describe...

I think that there are two endings. The ending Kishi intends to show us are in the movie which will probably explain the chapter 700 situation(may it be true or genjutsu). But for the people who don't want the movie ending, they can think of the story having it's final in chapter 700. This could be Kishi or Shueisha's way to appease both fans.

Funny thing is that I thought about this too. I thought that "700" could be the failed mission of The Last, or something like that. But, uhmmm, idk. I'm really tired :c

I think I just failed at my exam today because yesterday I couldn't study, lol. How pathetic.

Yeah, absolutely. Me either. In fact, I was just thinking about the cute pictures of Sakura from "The Last" and how I couldn't wait to see Naruto fall all over himself for her. But I guess it was just trolling. Even releasing their drawings first, and as a pair. It was just a bait and switch. 

 

It's a crappy thing to do to readers for sure, but what's even worse is that Kishimoto's undermined the main pairing just to have a spike in popularity. He left his story unresolved so that he could continue the series. Bummer.

 I believe so. I think it happened in angel beats...if I remember correctly. Don't think it's heading down that road though for Naruto.
