1. The whole headbutting thing...again this is exactly like what harems do. Even in Love Hina, I know I reference this one a lot, Naru still hit Keitaro even when they were officially a couple. Even before when many people asked him if he and Naru were a couple, she'd hit him and say something like "Oh Please." Despite these moments of denial, they still became a canon pairing. So be weary about theories and how far of "evidence." Whether you believe this is her being in denial or her being comedic or embarrassed, it does not mean "It's a rejection." It just means the characters don't want to openly talk about it yet. Forgot to add, if it really was a rejection the scene would be a lot more serious. I know people say this isn't confirmation because it was a comedic scene, but the same can be said in reverse. Since it is a comedic scene, it is not a rejection either.
One thing that I find very appealing is Sakura's reaction was natural to me. I have seen girls be embarrassed to talk about their love life even when people know it already. While guys are very comfortable talking about their love life. ("I have the best girl ever. She is so great and amazing. And so awesome in bed" GF: "Shut up, they don't need to know that") It's weird, it's human nature, and I find it completely true.
That's how I took the scene.
Funny enough, I compare this relationship triangle to Naru x Keitaro x Shinobu. (Shinobu got upset that Keitaro loves Naru, but that didn't stop her from day dreaming.)
2. I want to advise people to be weary about thinking too deeply. Otherwise you're going to start seeing things that aren't there and take it too far into something so simple to read. It also creates huge paranoia. So just be careful I say. Just remember this: Kishi did it for a reason and there were many ways he could have written the scene and even not write it all, but he did this way.
