You know, I do believe Kishi truly cares for his work. I mean think about it. In the movie, Sakura brought up the whole Hokage dream part for Naruto, which is like the best way to bring him back to real world. That said if she knows that well, which is only brought up way back in the Chuunin Exam from her pov, that means Kishi is truly being consistent and now, it seems like this is an indirect way for Sakura to choose Naruto over Sasuke. I don't know if I have give him too much credit, but if he does do this, honestly, I will bow down to him. No joke. This is a smart writing if done right. I don't know if this is his plan to do this way, but we'll see.

But I do agree with you, apart from Sakura and Sasuke not getting a proper resolution yet I cannot see any other hold in the NS relationship, worst when they haven't confronted each other about the way they feel and I'm positive that the bench scene will come back at some point, that's why I can clearly picture Sakura standing on Naruto's side in everything.

Well I can't bow if I don't see him in person. Lol. But seriously, my point is that I will give him a lot of credit if he actually do this. I can't guarantee it but since waiting paid off, I will come back to this: time will tell. For now, I would go focus on the current battle.

I understand getting a word for word translation is not how you go about it, but this sticks out too much from the other two.

1. I leave my son in your capable hands

2. Take care of my son

3.Please be gentle with my son

 

1 and 2 imply he is  asking her (cont) to heal him, while number three seems to be a response to her headbutting him. Not only are 1 and 2 closer but they also make more sense. I got the feeling sakura's behavior amused Minato because it was reminiscent of Kushina. 3 seems more like he's hesitant to leave him in her hands. 

 

1 and 2 also make more sense because Minato seems to be leaving Naruto to finish up getting healed while he (Minato) focuses on the oncoming battle. 

 

I don't even see any room for gentle in 1 or 2.

 

Seeing as this is the first I'm seeing it translated that way and the chapters been out for almost a week now, I figure its safe to stick with 1 and 2 which are pretty much the same anyways.

I don't find the word "gentle" to give any other meaning than what was implied. Remember what Shukaku told his son about women and towards they direct their gentleness

yes, literally it's correct as I translated it in thread of chapter 631... Minato says "Please don't be too hard on my son/Please go easy on my son..." but the real meaning of these words is just "I entrust you my son.../Take care of my son".

I've been thinking .... while it's pretty safe to say NaruHina's probably dead, there is one sliver of hope for the NH pairing IMO. I don't find this likely in the least, but let's all be open-minded NaruSaku fans by considering slightly.

 

We recieved another confirmation of Naruto's feelings. That's not a question. But we still are left in the air about his feelings for Hinata so far, so the NaruHina fans are still hoping for their ship. Undoubtably, NH will get a resolution. Whether good or bad remains to be seen.

 

Could Kishi aim for a real NaruSakuSasuHina square flying around? I don't see the point of this so late in the story, but let's think about it for a minute.

Yeah watch as it just remains static and goes nowhere, okay joking aside, in a short sequence of events, I would think that this would be the Time in which sakura slowly matures and overcomes her old views on Sasuke. Especially due to the hokage aspect and how stuff like itachi's speech and Sakura's from 630 more or less may lead to the conclusion like minato had in becoming hokage. Generally it's reasonable to think sakura would support naruto in his dream rather than Sasuke.

Wise readers are calling Naruto a jerk for not thinking about Hinata at this point while still liking Sakura, those are the ones that despite their anger they realize that NH cannot happen without Naruto and despite everything that happen recently he still feels a thing for Sakura that means that NH might never have a change.

The stubborn ones are the one who keep downplaying his feelings, using melodrama excuse, NS is only comic relief, fabricating stuff like NH having way more development that NS, wanting Naruto feeling for Sakura to be crushed by her still pining on Sasuke or wishing for Sakura's death. Sakura already knows everything she needs to know about Naruto, still wanting to be with Sasuke is a sign that NS fans should give is the same with NH at this point, while Sakura feelings are conflicting she still gives signs of liking Naruto while Naruto likes Sakura and Sakura only.

What are you talking about, is better to think that the focus will be on Sakura and Sasuke romantic life.
