oh Please do that @Chatte!!
those mistranslations is what makes things worse in this fandom.
The best example is how people still say that Kishi said that Hinata would be a better heroine than Sakura even after it has already been proven wrong.

Will do it these days.
Probably the next week I'll have the confirmation, as these days I am out of town till tuesday next week.
And yeah, I know about that one....
Funny how that guy was trying to prove me wrong, yet, I was right.

It reminds me of the biased translation of DB2 on Sasuke. Sadly, I can't find it, but I'll ask.

Oh I read his comments on that link that you posted. It's sad that the majority of fandom think the same way as him about Sakura. sleep.gif

but he's brought a good point there, that nobody bothers to confirm the accuracy of the translations... I wonder how many mistranslations must exist around and how many times we got the wrong impression because of it
It seems that even one of the quotes that the SS shippers love to use as evidence of their pairing (the one in the Sasuke Databook ) is a mistranslation.

I haven't seen your post before I wrote mine, so this is really true?!

Well, obviously the way the text is write ([love]), something is up. Why would there be an emphasis on [love]? Unless we can actually see Kishi speaking and his facial expression, that emphasis will be screwered until then.

When someone writes anything like that, it reminds me of air quotes or italics. To me, that usually means, "Hm... well, I guess you could say that she *air quotes* LOVES *air quotes*" in a ... not sarcastic way, but in a way that makes you assume the opposite.

Kishi could have just said, "she loves him for sure." Whoever wrote that article/interview was trying to put emphasis on love because Kishi put the emphasis on love. I assume that emphasis is point towards a past tense sort of thing that might not translate well.

That was when Sasuke first woke up after orochimaru bit him and gave him the curse mark. He was going on a rampage and nearly killed the sound ninja, sakura hugged him to get him under control and the power subsided. But you know how much more emotion she showed after seeing 4 tailed naruto. laugh.gif

in fairness when she hugs Sasuke she is emotional, look at her, that isn't half arsed.... dry.gif

But that only proves that she deeply cares for Naruto. So it's like Kishi is saying, "You see how much emotion she displayed for Sasuke? That's because she loves him, but what if she does it again, only with someone else?" It must be his game.

@Tsubaki: It's true about the translation. I was actually shocked and I was like surprised to think people were misguided. It's no wonder you don't hear any love stuff on Sasuke DB side anymore. Because it was never there.

One last note: someone here before actually brought in an interview of Bleach. Yes, off-topic, but hear me out. Kubo claimed that Ichigo and Rukia is displayed as good friends, but not lovers or anything considered. While he can change his mind, maybe, the difference is that he straight out confirms it not being like lovers, while in Naruto, Kishi is only supporting the love triangle is still in motion. That said Kishi is going to answer the love triangle soon. Most likely the end, but definitely will happen.

I think we will have a NS moment this year.
I mean, I don't think that Hashirama's flashback will have a lot chapters left. 5 or 6 more, and than we will see Naruto again with Obito.
Hinata shined already, so I don't see any reason to give her more screentime. It's time for other characters to shine.

Little gift :

They really are adorable. Little Naruto with green eyes. smile.gif
Enjoy.

PS : It's fanmade of course. tongue.gif

Actually, brackets in literature are generally used by individuals other than the author to add in missing text. This is very common in interviews, say when the interviewee forgets a word or hesitates while caught up in the moment. If this interview is actually correct, I would say that Kishi more than likely didn’t actually say the work “"Love."” Iit was probably injected by the individual translating the text or from the individual who quoted the text.

That's what I've always been thinking. The SS hug in the Forest of Death is a unintentional parallel to the NS example at the Tenchi Bridge. It even has the mental images of the person she was used to in a fit of anxiety. For example, SS version= Sasuke smirking. NS version= Naruto smiling and grinning as well. It really does remind you of what Sakura hasn't done for Sasuke that she hasn't done for Naruto. Well, except for physically protecting him and risking her life, but Sakura probably would do that too in a heartbeat. That's not really much of an issue.

Though to be fair, maybe SS has the upper hand. With Naruto, Sakura was motivated by the promise and seeing him pushing himself too hard. With Sasuke, it was just her feelings for him and nothing more that drove her to do what she did.

It's also important to note that Naruto's whole body had changed while Sasuke was still himself physically. This may be a positive or negative. Negative in the sense that even Naruto's entire transformation did not spur her to lose all control immediately, while with Sasuke it did. But positive in the sense that Sasuke still looked like himself (unlike Naruto) and was doing evil things. (Usually, it could warrant a more extreme reaction because it's their actual face your seeing doing all of this). But also, Naruto wasn't doing anything bad. He was just sitting there.

So confusing ... I can't decide which scene is more meaningful emotionally to Sakura. SS one or NS? headscratch.gif

"I absolutely can't let you die! I can't! I won't let you die ... your stupid dream ... now it's ... it's right in front of us!!"                                                                             ----Sakura Haruno

Considering that the NS scene is what led Yamato to question Sakura about her feelings I would say that's the one with the most emotion.

Yamato wasn't there to witness the Forest of Death scene, so I'm not sure that he can be used as evidence here.

Both of them are emotional to her, but the follow-up for SS isn't so bright, because if I remember, Sasuke only focused himself thinking about the newfound power. When Naruto woke up, he immediately wondered if everything is alright, especially him waking up. Think Sakura as Hinata but for Sasuke, it's no surprise that Sakura shows emotions in that scene. However, she did the same if not more emotion to Naruto, because Sakura recalls all of his nice self and you can tell her heart was really aching her a lot when more and more seeing him in the most painful state. I do think she was more emotions in that scene, because stopping Sasuke was more about him stopping to kill people, while Naruto is about him stopping from killing himself to achieve the goals. So you decide.

I remember when I saw that scene. I was really shocked to see how much she cares deeply. Huge differences from part 1. Too huge. It will continue to show more in this arc. I can feel it.

You can't expect Yamato to be everywhere. He was probably doing some anbu mission at the time. laugh.gif

The point is that no one made emphasis on Sakura hugging Sasuke the same way Yamato did when Sakura tried to make Naruto snap out of his madness. Therefore there's a more emotional expansion in the scene with Naruto.
