Yeah, because that's the only way they can even try to justify Naruhina. They have to completely forgo everything that happened in the manga. This is really the true definition of an asspull.

They want everybody to be able to go, PAY and see the movie.

If the movie is understandable only by Naruto's fans, that mean less people in theaters to watch it and less people to PAY for it.

Don't you understand guys ? It's all ONLY about money in the end.

It's sad how Naruto has never once blushed at Hinata or called her pretty or even told her about the problems in his life (not even about Sasuke or Kyuubi etc) but Naruhina fans are completely satisfied with this and are accepting a filler movie as compensation.
I'd rather be a NaruSaku fan. <3

its not like people other than naruto fans and and hinata's voice actress fans will go watch the movie though. If youre not a fan and go watch the movie things will be confusing no matter what. and its not like those that arent fan of naruto will know whether the movie is understandable or not until they watch it lol, but by the time they do that, they already gave their money. Kishi also heavily recommends you to watch the ending of the manga before watching it.

 

In the end, its all bs. the movie that is.

Remember when they promote other movie about villain, story or power up. Now, it's plain selling want to know how NH happen. .

 

Check our asspull movie in a theater near you that kill all you're favorite character for the sake of a shy one that do nothing important in 700 chapters, never look into Naruto feeling, didn't react to her cousin dead or any in the war anyway, she was thick headed in love instead and force people to think of a better ending and theorise on how to prevent this mess. How did we bow down to Hinata, as our new main character.

 

Naruto the last movie : ONE BIG CASH MAKING MACHIN FOR THE LAST TIME, after we tried a new series that surely never be as popular as the original storywise and because we rape the fan of our story for CASH.

Ugh. The more I hear and see about this movie, the worse it gets. Hinata is literally the heroine now. Wouldn't even be much of stretch to say she's the freakin' main character since Naruto's love for Sakura either got retconned or trampled on for Hinata-hime's convenience. And Sakura ... if there is any more fangirling of Sasuke in The Last or Sasuke gets some BS excuse that he always had feelings for her I'm gonna need a bucket.

 

The damage Kishimoto is doing to this series just won't end. I can't even be sad that Naruto's over. I can't even enjoy the very last movie as a send-off for my connection to the manga. This was my favorite manga that I followed for years and I can't even feel anything towards it. Bad plot, Hinata-tailored, regression, retcons ... is there anything left of the series we knew?

 

I'm still amazed at how terrible Kishi screwed up.  I could never see myself to be this apathetic to something I loved for so long. All I have left now is lingering disappointment.

I can't see how anyone, other than nH/hinata fans, could enjoy this movie. It's clearly gonna contradict many manga themes and change several people's characters, just to pull off the trash they call canon pairings. Seriously, to make a movie about a side character, who has not had any impact on the story and has appeared for only a quarter of the series, just sounds like a terrible idea and I hope they suffer for it.

To be fair, Sakura always loved Sasuke, so the movie won't be OOC for her. Hinata always loved Naruto, so she'll also be in character. Sasuke, I assume, will be like pre-Shippu Sasuke, personality wise lol

 

Also, on the 'this is just one huge masterfully planned out prank to make NS canon"...again, the guy said he couldn't write romance because it embarrassed him. He's not the kind of writer to go through this intricate and convoluted plan just for romance. Something he admittedly left out of his story.

 

Let's take MLP and its fandom for an example. MLP is a cute show for little girls and is straight forward with its messages. The fandom thinks it's really deep and complex, and continue to get upset when the show does things for its real audience, little girls. They read way too deeply into a show that is, well, shallow with its story telling. It's the same with Naruto. Naruto was a regular Shonen manga for children about a magical ninja who talked to his enemies instead of just defeating/killing them. The romance was an afterthought/subplot that Kishi wasn't really comfortable doing. It's not any deeper than this.

 

The movie is Naruhina centric because Naruto is the main character, and who he falls in love with is going to be the main focus. If Kishimoto says Naruto loves Hinata, not Sakura, then he loves Hinata. It's his story, he's the writer. Naruto isn't a real person, and thinks/feels/does whatever the writer decides. We may want/wish otherwise, but that's the canon. You can move on, you can love and enjoy your ship in fanon, or you can only disappoint yourself clinging onto false hope. The choice is yours to make.

Ok so I don't get why they aren't promoting more SasuSaku (God I think I threw up a little in my mouth just typing that), since it IS the supposed favorite pairing in Japan right? It's also kinda understood that Sasuke has always been the "main character" so far as Kishi is concerned and he has a decent fanbase.

So....why this overly obvious marketing campaign revolving around Naruto and Hinata ? You have sketches for them and for the two times that Hinata poked holes in the condoms....erhh the children Bolt and creepy. Yet, not one sketch of the Salad....the next generation of the godlike Uchiha clan. If this is purely marketing why not attack from all fronts...kitten....tease showing Kakashi's damned face!! <--guarantee you an increased turn out!!!

The whole purpose IMO is to force feed this pairing through make believe kittentery! An entire movie is produced and dedicated solely to explaining how and why title character is in love with "this chick now" as opposed to "that other pink haired girl" he loved all through the actual story.

Every new advertisement etc that comes out now feels like I'm opening the door to a Jehovah's Witness !

It's amusing at this point because I get the sense that they are trying to convince themselves as much those they're marketing to. I can't even get a little mad cause it's so bad it's hilarious!!! Hmmm perhaps that's why no SasuSaku maybe even SP can't spin magical bs out of that pairing...it's just that f'd up.

I am going 50/50. One reason is  chatte's becoming true, another we have two weeks for the movie and probably we will have the launch trailer brace yourself SS moment is coming.
