Upcoming Sasuke Novel Taking place after 699,  not really but thought of OOC scene for some reason: 

 

 

Sasuke's been traveling across the world for 6 months on a spiritual journey to find his path. He comes across the forest  where he reunited with Itachi during the 4th Great Ninja War took place, and rests along the soft meadow. What comes across his mind were the final moments before he took off on his journey. The last time he saw the sight of the woman who's waited for him since he first left the village. The embarrassing look  she showed towards him felt charming to the young Uchiha. Despite how he treated her over the years and what he tried to do during the 5 Kage Summit in The Land of Iron, Sasuke finally decided to give her a chance. For some reason his heart was beginning to beat faster and faster as he glanced upon the innocent blush her face, and  finally poked her forehead affectionately. The vow he made before leaving and seeing her cheeks brighten even more, "I'll see you soon." 

 

That was the only thing running through his mind was her, and only her. 

 

Suddenly,  Sasuke felt tears running down his face and quickly brushed it off as the winds breezes past him, "I'm sorry Sakura-chan, I don't think I'll be coming back as soon as I promised you. Just wait for me a little longer like you always have.."

It has no fighting style. The spawn grew up in a cosseted household during an era of peace where the only justifications for maintaining the old martial style of education would be to uphold traditions and instill a harsh disciplinary manner of thinking into the youth because it's effective at making them into responsible members of society.

 

Realistically, they should be the weakest generation of shinobi ever seen in their world since a political environment devoid of any conflict wouldn't necessitate the hardening of soldiers' bodies and minds like in the old days. Without any wars or severe missions to build them up or inspire more intense training, their growth would be stunted. Their economies would have to shift over to a domestic style of planning with most of the remaining shinobi missions that still take place consisting of your typical D-Rank chores like gardening, shopping, finding lost pets or perhaps a simple C-Rank escort with no possible threat involved except distance, terrain and whatever wild animals they come across since everyone's supposedly been converted to Naruto's collectivist philosophy.

IMO BS BullS**t will never make up for messing NS over cause the fact is it's not the same. those two are characters built out of parental neglect and domestic abuse respectively with a dash of parental neglect on the latter so I see it as no substitute. Only NS should have happened, that's the only way I would have been satisfied. At least with NS they wouldn't have had to friggin retcon the story and character development just to ATTEMPT at making sense of the couple. But alas even now if NS happened I would not accept it cause it is just a pity prize just like NH has been turned into and SS was retoconned cause Uchiha Scott free needed needed a baby maker.
