Who's kittening? I was up in Boston a few years back and it was this cold and fools were prancing around their gazillion Dunkin' Donuts in shorts, as if this is spring weather.
Someone mentioned if that is was cold weather, then I must have to put on a sweater whenever I open the refrigerator. That just deserved a Look. You know the "you a crazy smart-ass fool, there's the corner, SIT DOWN!" look.
Today the weather should be warmer according to the professionals. But until then I'm huddled in my blankets and fuzzy socks.
But I'm huddled up and feeling excited. Obama won Iowa, and honestly some people may not think this primary in a small state means anything, but really it does. The fact that Obama won and it was a decisive win--he's percentage points over the rest--says a lot about his ability to be our democratic candidate.
Cause frankly besides the "well he doesn't have experience" excuse (and playing fellatrix to Mr.President counts as experience?) the biggest reason some people aren't on Obama's side is because "Well, he won't win. The country isn't ready. The country won't vote for him."
I want to smack everyone who says that self-defeating nonsense and make them read both of his books. They're excellent. I was reading this guy and had several moments where I was like, yes damnit you are speaking for me, you know exactly what is up, and I want to see you succeed.
I read Hillary's bio (via my mom who is Hillary's #1 fan and will vote her to the ends of the earth) and it was extremely interesting but it didn't inspire me. Hillary is just leagues away from me (and probably everyone else, but who am I to speak for them). And honestly everyone knows how to bring her down...she's the one the republicans want to go against for a reason.
Hopefully, when he continues to win (and I think he definitely will continue to do so) certain (black, yes I said it) people will stop self-hating and start trying to vote for the best candidate instead of discounting a perfectly viable one because of their inner demons. Iowa has no black people in it and if you look at the entrance polls the women were for him as well. So this shufflin' self-hating kitten? Negro please.
If you're not going to vote for him and you have a good reason for it, then I'm totally okay. Otherwise, like I said, Negro please.
As for the Republicans, lol! I'm barely paying attention because their 'ish is so random these days. Anyone could have won...
But this Huckabee guy...Gawd, we are in 2008, not 1908 people! They totally have to pick the guy who is against everything I'm going for. And on a shallow note,

DO NOT WANT.
