:) Don't worry I have several fics in the works!! And THE BEST PARTS of Voice in the Wind are to come! And it's frickin' awesome, if I do say so myself. It's been a long time that I've liked my headcanon of Naruto better than the manga version. So yeah, this ship still sails!!!
 
To perk you guys up:
 
— a fic where Sakura leaves with Sasuke, and Naruto has to stay behind. 
— "The Night Market" - a modern fic where Sakura is a ramen cook on the seedy side of of Konoha and Naruto is a master pickpocket 
— a fic where Naruto grows up in ROOT as an ultimate weapon and has to adjust to life on a team
 
So yes, I'll still be writing!! Kishimoto's crappy plot twists never stopped me before, (even with "Obito's a cool guy!" gag!) so it won't stop me now! lol!

OMG YESS. TBH I haven't even started voice in the wind yet but I love Single Step.

Suggestion - A fic where Sasuke never came back to Sakura and Sarada and Naruto and Hinata have marital problems. Sakura and Naruto rekindles their friendship and Naruto's long lost love.

This would make up for that crappy ending.

I came into the Naruto Fandom 10+ years ago.

 

I enjoyed the story, the hero fighting against all odds and proving he wasnt a screw up. I came to see that no matter what anyone tells you you can do whatever you put your mind to.

 

The pairings in the end were shocking and some of them were just wrong but as a Naruto fan before a pairing fan Kishi failed to produce a story at all.

 

These two chapters i'm sorry I mean since the Pein Arc the story went down hill and the War Arc just made it plummet into oblivion. 

 

I'll always ship NaruSaku no matter what anyone tells me, I don't care if we lost. If I jumped ship every time my pairing lost I'd be in the ocean a lot.

 

Ships don't sink, they sink only if the people on those ships don't take care of the ships.

 

Naruto may be over, and it's a good thing. I wont be watching spin offs due to various reasons but i'll be moving on to other stories. Better written stories.

 

I'll still be here, and it's been an honor knowing each and everyone of you.

At least there's fanfiction! A good thing is that the great NaruSaku writers, such as yourself, will still continue to write, and perhaps there will be a surge in people who have never written a fanfic to have a go themselves (Hell, I'm thinking of trying!)

1. Sasuke is not OOC

2. Naruto is not OOC

3. Sakura is not OOC

4. Naruto has decent hair

Most of my NH/SS shipper friends are so happy. They even stopped hating Sakura because of their canonship

Anyways about the chapter.....I found it quite hilarious.

Sasuke got everything in the end due to his Uchiha bloodline and just because he was friends with Naruto. He's got power, acknowledgement, a family he doesn't deserve, and his best friend's love interest (The reason why Sakura became one of the strongest kunoichi with that never giving up attitude was because she got influenced by Naruto. But in the end, Sakura became all cool, powerful and beautiful just to be taken away by Sasuke and be a housewife).

And look at Naruto......he doesn't look happy. I see no single panel of him with that sunshine smile. Does he look like he's proudly looking over Konoha? I would expect him to be shown like Hiruzen, looking at the village proudly with a smile. To make matters worse, his kid feels neglected by him and goes his way to try to trouble him. Not to mention, he ended up with someone who he clearly wasn't interested(who didn't even have a single page in Naruto's part of the databook). A pairing fodder who has no decent ninja abilities, goals, or priorities. All he really gained was the hat. His best friend isn't there, the love of his life isn't there, he doesn't have an understanding family, and his so called friends other than Shikamaru aren't there to support him (when they should appear smiling at him in the end!) All these years of hard work, and this is what he gets?

So I read chapter 700 and laughed. Naruto was OOC as kitten lol. He hit his kid who wanted to gain his attention due to being neglected. Why the hell would Naruto neglect his kid when he suffered the same thing in his childhood? And all the comfort he could give his kid is that, "He's a Hokage and he's busy" and blah blah blah. Um no, Minato would have NEVER treated Naruto that way were he alive.
His parenting skills have failed.

And it's laughable because all the new gen kunoichi became a housewife sans Kurotsuchi. Oh and is Karin dead?

Do you really think this is the ending? Have you ever seen any story where the main character has been treated horribly this much by the author? Is this ending really possible for the guy who had worked hard for fifteen years?

Hence, I'll wait for the movie.

 

I was really looking around the forums for your comment. I agree people act as if this is the true ending but I dont see it as such. Even if at the end it will be NH/SS there is a ton of things unadressed

Man, it sucks because I was in the middle of writing a NS fic, and now I feel like all the wind has just been taken out of my sail lol good lord.

 

Don't let it take wind out of your sails. There will be so many people who want and need to read an NS story that makes more sense than the manga. Especially now. Keep writing, and do it in spite of this weird, tack-on, out-of-nowhere ending.

 

To me, NS has always been canon. From the beginning. It's the final chapter that is out of step, not the rest of the manga. Draw on that and keep writing.

The end.  Well, it's not the worse I ever read/watched.  However, I'm disappointed in Kishimoto.  He did the one thing I believed he wouldn't:  Cater to the fanbase.  Seriously, what happened to all the development for Sakura?  What was the point of having her go through so much change through Part 1 and Part 2, just to go back to the she was.  What happened to Sakura who lashed out at Sasuke for attacking Naruto verbally?  The one who supported his dream?  The one who put her hand on his heart and gave CPR to prolong his life while he was on deaths door?  She's gone.  Kishimoto, why?  What was the point of this?  What happened to Kushina parallel?  Why have Minato comment of Sakura being similar to her?  What was the purpose of even Kushina's last words now of "finding a girl like her", which you even mentioned a about 7-8 chapters ago?  Sakura's not the only one either.  Naruto, the one who never gives up, gave up on the girl he loved.  You selled out, Kishi.  You gave the vocal fanbase the ending they wanted while crapping on the characters you created.  Seriously,  I hope you're proud of yourself.

No no, don't forget, parallels meant nothing. So BECaUSE Mito/Madara wasn't canon, SS is now.

You should!! Go for it!! This is what fanfic is for...to correct the problems that authors make, and investigate new storylines the author's can't or won't go down. So go for it!!!
