Why is a spin off about Bolt named after his dad? I thought it would be somewhere along the lines of The Chronicles of Hyuga Prince Bolt or Bolt the Next Generation, lol

But speaking to the point of the name of the series, what I really want to know is when the name was thought up. Honestly, I think Naruto Gaiden, which I think means something along the lines of Naruto Chronicles, is a defense play by Kishi/SP. I think it's a response to all the negative reaction in order to lure older fans back in. They've already stated that this series was about Bolt, so why does the title imply continued focus on Naruto? Kishimoto already said himself that Naruto's role was completed on retrieval of Sasuke (what a stupid statement to make, even further lowering his credibility as a writer), so really the name is only a ploy to regain lost ground. I'm pretty sure this isn't the original name of the series. They're aware that their kitten stinks and they don't want to eat it. Life sucks when you disrespect the majority of your fanbase, they're feeling it now XD

Good question. I don't think so tbh because it has nothing else to offer. The fights became boring as kitten anyway since it's blast this, blast that, the ninja aspect is far gone.

 

I was a bit happy when I saw the Gai vs. Madara fight for seeing again some actually rather the old "spice" of Naruto, if u know what I mean, but compared to what it used to be... heh.

I expect ninja to carry Ak-47s and ride tanks into battle 

 

 

People will keep buying WSJ, whether they want to read the part 3 or not. So I guess that Kishi will keep making more and more money...

I just hope nobody will go see that stupid boruto movie.

The Gai vs Madara fight was the best in the whole war arc, imo. I really liked that part, especially since he developed Gai more by talking about his past and made me love him even more. What I disliked tho, was him being on a wheelchair... I don't understand why, unlike Naruto and Sasuke, he didn't wear a prosthetic leg... 

 

 

So I looked more into the update news regardin Part 3 and according to the guys at Naruto wiki this is what I found:

 

 

 

From 2ch manga forums, it's been stated that in the next Weekly Shonen Jump issue (#18) which will be released unofficially this Thursday that it has a preview for issue #22-23 which will be released in the Golden Week (Last week of April) that Naruto Gaiden (ナルト外伝) series will have a lead colour and cover in that issue.

As far as I'm aware, "Gaiden" means a side story. I think there is certainly an element of truth to what you are suggesting. They're getting more and more desperate.

 

It's like they're throwing any old crap at the dartboard these days, hoping that something will stick. I believe they're trapped within the schedule and plan that they have created, and don't know how to break free of it. They have all of this crap already made, and to not try and sell it would cost them money. However, selling it is also costing them money in the long run, because more people are turning against them and refusing to buy their products. A sort of damned if they do, damned if they don't scenario. Plus, they have the movie ready to go for August, so they have to try and push it, irrespective of the fact that many people are not interested in seeing it. It's almost guaranteed to make them a loss of some sort.

I don't get the reason for Gai to live.

 

His death would have made more sense than Neji being a cupid.

Do I find it odd that Kishi chose Hinata still mourning his death after all these years ? Its almost like Kishi intentended these two to be together which made perfect sense. If they had gotten together neji would have been freed from the curse seal and would have been truly found the freedom he sought.

 

With the Rumor of the editors hating on Sakura and the other mangaka supporting Narusaku seem very plausible (there was indeed a chinese article speaking badly of sakura). I Wonder if the other mangaka was Eiichiro Oda himself. At Kishi's wedding, Oda noticed that the bride was very similar to Sakura. Its almost like he was already shipping them but the wedding felt like a confirmation. Oda's goodbye message to Kishi was the most genuine and honest of all the authors by considering him a rival and a friend. In addition, Oda even made a One piece cover paying tribute to Naruto with Luffy eating with Naruto and references to the series (how awesome is that).The author of One piece even trash talked the magazine for not giving Naruto the cover for its epilogue. He is basically saying the magazine  has no respect for one of their biggest contributors and their artists.

 

I Wonder if Kishi and Oda had some private conversations about the real nature of the ending. Oda talked to takehiko Inoue about it which probably lead to the author of slam dunk making the comments about the fans never really knowing you deep down.

Another female shounen mangaka to add to the list would be Mochizuki Jun. Oh, and Yellow Tanabe. What series' did Rumiko Takahashi and Shinobu Ohtaka write? I'm not familiar with them.
 
 
You're much braver than me.  I can only take so much before I feel like I want to bash my head against a wall. Reading anything more to do with Naruto would definitely fall under the 'more than I can take' category.
 
 
This. That was the moment I lost any and all faith that Kishimoto would ever give the female characters equal treatment to the males. And the real salt on the wound was that those ridiculous power-ups came almost right after Sakura had gone on about wanting to catch up to her teammates and stand beside them. It was like Kishimoto's way of saying, "Nope, never gonna happen."

Shinobu Ohtaka wrote Magi. I recommend you reading the manga since you've already seen the anime ( I read your post inthe 1-10- rate the anime you're currently watching thread). Rumiko Takahashi wrote Ranma 1/2, Inuyaha etc. Her current manga Rinne is getting an anime coming out next month. Another female mangaka group is CLAMP. They wrote Cardcaptir Sakura (good shoujo), Tsubada Reservoir Chronicle etc.
