I think this underlines some of his most serious psychological problems, most particularly those linked to women (happily transposing them in a manga yay...).

So NH only happened so Sakura wouldn't look like a slut.
Also--how does Sakura switching from a guy who tried to kill her and always treated her like kitten to a guy who loves her and always wanted to make her happy make her a "terrible woman"?
Kikitten really does suck Sasuke's kitten.
