Heyy, you guys! I's been a while~

How's everyone? It's nice to see that H&E is still up and running!

 

Now, I know I promised myself that I won't touch any more bs from ksmt, but since I'm more or less over thr nrt ending I decided to check this "sequel" out. WHAT. A. DISASTER. All the SS moments were so forced I literally cringed every time I saw a panel reading 'my wife' or 'my husband' (there were like a lot of those but yet ksmt never showed us SS acting like a real husband and wife). This only proved yet another time that SS just don't belong together.. the chemistry is nonexistent in this pairing. Sarada is like the only reason this pairing exists. Good job, ksmt.

The thing that humored me the most was this is Sarada really SS kid? I mean, are you for real? Did they really think people would fall for this obvious trick after all the bs?? ksmt is so desperate to keep people interested in his series I almost feel sorry for him... NOT.

You know I've been thinking about another story that ended with a bad joke just like Gaiden did.

And I didn't have to search long because it just popped in my mind another story that did this.

Naruto the Blood Prison movie did the exact same thing. Sorry if you haven't watched the movie but I'm going to spoil it so be warned.

 

The movie starts with Naruto attacking the Raikage but fails in killing him. Of course it's not really Naruto, it's someone else but the blame falls on Naruto. Word gets to Konoha that Naruto tried to assassinate the Raikage; and Tsunade calls Naruto into her office so she can send him to his punishment. In her office there's also Sakura, Sai, Kakashi and Yamato (not sure exact if that's 100% accurate because I can't recall correctly). When Tsunade tells everyone what Naruto did and what his punishment is, everyone that's in the room goes "OMG Naruto will never do that. I can't believe it. Blah blah blah" you know the classical stuff. The movie continues I'm not going to talk about the rest because it's boring.

 

Anyway the movie ends and after the credits scene we see what happened after Naruto got send to prison. And surprise surprise we see that everyone knew that Naruto was innocent from the very beginning and they were just acting, basically they all liked watching Naruto suffer.

Sakura even says something like: "Did I give a good performance? Was my acting good?"

 

Basically turning the entire movie into a joke. Just like Gaiden.

Oh and the Blood Prison novel that the movie is based on, never had that scene. That was something that SP added.

So i've been wondering why dragon ball kai stop after cell saga. After little browsing, it is revealed because bad sales and low rating. The only thing that getting remake is the intro and ending music. Except that everything is same old art. Thats why fans mad about it.

If the bolded part come true, then to me that is the end of humanity, doomsday ... judgement day, or whatever you may called it. Everything swaps, bad becomes good and good becomes bad, killing is good deed and helping is crime, lies become truth and truth become lies, NS and its 698 chapter of development is red herring while NH and SS with 2 movie, 10 gaiden chapter, bunch of novels and new era project is the cannon and real one.
 

Welcome to the real world, though I won't take it too far;) it just means that the trend is going to the direction we don't support. And I'm 100% sure I don't want to be part of it...

I started reading manga and watching anime 'seriously' since I was in highschool. That was 20 years ago. Although I'm not an expert nor I am a die-hard observer, but I do notice things are changing.

With anime industry, I'm not sure whether it's a positive changes or negative changes. And new set of standards are being set over the time, depending on what is selling and what brings the most money onto the table. That's why I said that if the new movie is successful, it'll become the standard of storytelling in the next decade...

Take a look at the huge amount of lolicon and moe characters dominating the industry for the past decade. Take a look at the booming rise of ecchi animated series. They became *the* de facto standard for success... Only because they bring money... Suddenly female character design will be more likeable if she got a big breast. And the sad part is, people are buying it...

Back in my younger days we watch anime mostly for the storytelling. It's hardly about the looks, there's hardly any fans service. You have lots of options and flavors. From action shounen battle, mecha, to girl power, drama, romance, to comedy, sports, and many others... Dragon ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam, Sailor moon, Ranma 1/2, Rurouni Kenshin, Slam dunk, Evangelion, Cowboy bebop, FMA (granted, it ends in 2010, but the first volume was published in 2001), etc...

Even for Naruto, in its early years it was so much fun to read, try to read Gaara fight, or the fight in Valley of the end in part 1. Compare that fight with the last fight between Naruto and Sasuke... look at where it is now and what kind of message it brings with all these pairings drama nonsense.

And I can't tell you how heart broken I was when I learned that Studio Ghibli suspended its operations. I mean, we're talking about the studio who produced lots of quality products, yet it's closing its shop. The studio that produces lots of beautiful story telling with strong and inspiring female character, instead of just moe, lolicon or big breast.

Mononoke hime, Howl's moving castle, My neighbor Totoro, Spirited away, etc...

There's a quote from Hayao Miyazaki whic more or less says "Many of my movies have strong female leads - brave, self-sufficient girls that don't think twice about fighting for what they believe in with all their heart. They'll need a friend, or a supporter, but never a savior. Any woman is just as capable of being a hero as any man." -- Hayao Miyazaki

I hold no grudges against SP and Naruto series, but for the sake of good story telling trends and good morale messages delivered through fictions, I hope the new movie fails miserably so it won't be taken as the new standard...

Ugh !!! Indeed 693 is way way worse , that was just freaking disgusting . All of Sakura's development and self respect was destroyed right there , after that even though some argued about it that it can be "salvaged" but for me there was no saving grace  .

Its a shame i was once like her and ship her with naruto, and now SP turn her into damsel in distress, instead of become strong clan leader, she turn into naruto-cooon pairing fodder.

Yes, its seeing chapter 699 is one of my worst nightmare up till now. Now that image will haunt me for the rest of my life.

 

If only i have time machine, like doraemon's time machine. I want to travel back in time to warn myself at that time to stop reading naruto because the ending will devastate my life.

Call me delusional, but 699 and 700 just don't come to my mind anymore like it just doesn't exist ever since I ran into Sammy's ending that is all I've been picturing as the ending to the series. Granted it's not completely finished yet, but for what's being displayed how the pacing's been smooth and I mean a lot smoother I don't know that's the Naruto I supported, The Sakura I grew to love, Sasuke stays in the village not some bs where he leaves,, but I will say Sammy's version of Hinata is much more interesting even if I find the idea of SasuHina questionable.

It's like Kishi himself was making a statement about her, that her character was literally getting killed by Sasuke and he finally snuffed her for good.
