She only thanked Kishi for his hard work, she never said anything about liking the ending.
She said outright that she was very happy with the ending, but that she wouldnt discuss it because of spoilers.

If NH becomes formalized canon within the movie.... no, I will never be a fan of the pairing.
I'll probably simply leave the Naruto fandom entirely. I'm not as heavily invested in it as some others here (all my recent fanfic energy has gone to Fairy Tail).
I'll be part of the NS team that rebuilds the world, AU-style, with what we consider to be a better ending, but I think I'll be done with mainstream Naruto fandom. That will be a huge break for me, since I've always been a stickler for canon.
That's kind of what happened in Fruits Basket. My pairing lost, but the "winning" pairing had enough development to change my mind. I accepted the ending, and actually liked how everything worked out, but I left the fandom. I lost interest. For one thing, the story had NO LOOSE ENDS left. There was no more story left to tell when the series ended. It was over, the end.
For me, if the Naruto manga had ended at 699 with the pairings left open, it would have been better than trying to shoe horn in relationships that didn't fit. I would have happily stayed in the fandom, helping to continue the story. But this train wreck of 700+ movie didn't provide any real closure at all. I think that's what hurts the most. More questions than answers, and what answers we do have don't match any of the questions!

Wow, that assistant guy... So we really read the manga wrong because we "ignored Sakura's feelings". Ok great. Then l have a few questions:
-If Sakura's feelings were so important, why didn't they ever reach Sasuke? He's all about Naruto until the last chapter where he magically falls for Sakura. Did we also ignore Sasuke's feelings?
-Were we wrong to not ignore Naruto's feelings? You know, the kittening TITULAR CHARACTER? The one who's supposed to never give up on his bonds, the one who was supposed to surpass the previous generations, the one who was compared to characters who failed to get the girl they loved? The one whose feelings were directly compared to Sakura's during the PoaL, implying they were of equal intensity? Did we make all that kitten up?
-If we were supposed to take Sakura's feelings so seriously, why were they portrayed so negatively, with her devolving to a submissive little girl who calls herself PATHETIC? Why couldn't she do anything by herself and had to rely entirely on Naruto to get her man? Is that also cultural differences?
-If Naruto moving on was the great genius plan why in the mother of kitten was he still shown to be smitten by Sakura in early part 2 with the blushes and the date requests? What was the point of the Kushina parallel, of the Yamato comment, of the Sai flashback? Why didn't he interact at all with Hinata? Were we supposed to ignore all that kitten to focus on Sakura crying about Sasuke trying to kill her for the 126th time and conclude "yup, this is totes going to be canon"?
lt's one thing to write awful garbage but it's another thing entirely to act as if people are idiots for not swallowing it with a smile on their face. kitten this assistant retard and l hope he ends up having to draw cheap porn to survive.

Hey, just a thought, would you guys jump ship if NH was properly done/justified in the movie? Or if NS got closure? (Those who are watching it anyway.)
I would love to hear your opinions.
I'm a fan of the manga. This outside stuff means kitten to me to put it bluntly, and furthermore ruined the story as far as I can tell. I can't stand the way this has went down. I feel like a lot of fans of a box series who only see this odd alternate land whether its a movie or a tv series based on the books. This time though I feel like the tv series and movies polluted the stories in the books.
To put it bluntly Kishimoto has lost me forever as a fan, and I will never support him or his products again.

I am working on a HUGE AU myself for Naruto to make me feel better about the serious shortcomings of the ending. X_X And it's one that has been in the works for years, even while the manga was still going on just going on from there!

Oh, if Sasuke hit her, that would be unacceptable in Japanese culture for what I've read about it. It is not meant to be shown. But trying to kill a person has many symbolic meanings, because death in Japan is a very big cultural notion. Don't forget what Sasuke tried to do to Naruto, it was his path of pure destruction that can be romanticized by Japanese.
agreed but he always said or think that Naruto was his only friend (never thought about Sakura or Kakashi in shippuden) while for Sakura, he didn't even bother having a 2nd thought for her in any like. He would have killed her like anybody else, well the way it was shown, I still believe somewhere deep down that would have at least affect him. Every time he clashed with Naruto, we see him think as he got him as his best friend.
I would believe he could have shown some remorse or hesitation at least once, to show that he care, but she in the way.
I know about death and the different meaning( maybe not as much as other but got a general idea) but you have to show that he has some kind of attachment. Like his idea to kill Naruto and finally they understand each other, NO SANE PERSON WOULD DO THAT when you think about it, but it is shown that even when he goes crazy, he still care for Naruto. When he learn that Naruto defeat pain, he smirk. Any news he got from him had an impact. Where I believe it failed is that he never show any interest of any kind (not even friendship) for Sakura. That's why I can't blame Japanese culture for it.
If we go with symbolism, saving someone life like the CPR scene ( I know it's medical, but when you think about it, this happen in a world where glowing hand heal tissue, Immortal, talking animal and human puppet exist, we've seen a lot things here, this is the only one that is an actual medical procedure. But the symbolism is that she breath life to Naruto while holding his heart in her hand). You've got Karin unlocking her chain ability because she was worry for Sasuke (power up out of love).
Plus the disappearance of Karin, that Sasuke at least seem to care a little ( honestly that guy is about that guy:P) speak more love to me than Sasuke.
Anyway for me, it still smell more like money at fault, more than Japenese culture.

As you will know there will be a kidnapping with Toneri’s target, Hinata Hyuuga.
The reason for so on his obsession would be to create an offspring of the Hyuga Clan in an attempt to restore the Ōtsutsuki Clan.
In the movie we will witness how Naruto would leave his love for Sakura behind and start to develop for Hinata when she is kidnapped. There will be a certain portion of the movie where he will feel jealousy and the need to protect her as well.
At the end of the movie there will be a relapse of a year and a half, where we will see Naruto and Hinata’s wedding with the other couples that were seen in the last chapter of the manga.”
It continues on to say later …
“The second point of the movie is the “death of one’s love” and the resurrection of another.
(This is a symbolism in Japan, for those who are a tad confused with this statement)
One of Toneri’s jutsus is the ability to absorb chakra from other people, as so he absorbs the powers of 六道仙人(Rikudō Sennin) from both Naruto and Sasuke, defeating them both easily.
When Hinata comes to their rescue alone, Toneri becomes obsessed with Hinata, without mentioning that she is of the Hyuuga Clan.
Toneri would then explain his plan to restore the Ōtsutsuki Clan and the chakra which can only be used by them, who label themselves as the “Protectors of Chakra”(or "Guardians", whatever it is since it has several meaning).
It then goes on to say that Hinata rejects Toneri because of her unquestionable love for Naruto, which has led to Toneri developing an intense hatred for Naruto and resulting in him using a monstrous form. There will be some point throughout the movie will Hinata will apparently lose her memory.
