^ Ciardha means Chiyo would've been around 16-18 when she had her son. We know this because she was roughly in her late 30's (around 37-38) when she became a grandmother to Sasori. She was 73 when she died, Sasori was 35 when he first died.

The night of the Nine-Tail's attack was over 16 years before the time of the current arc, so that would put Chiyo around the age of 57.

i want to discuss some points about sakura's feelings:
1-do you think that sakura moved completely from sasuke after chapter 483&484?
2-when did you think that sakura start to move on from sasuke
3-do you think that sakura (when she confessed to naruto )was having any sort of romantic feelings towards sasuke and why ?

the answer is no but question is actually incorrect given the development of Sakuras feelings for naruto and away from Sasuke. Since she had changed her feelings from Sasuke to Naruto a long time ago romantically, she has no feelings for Sasuke to mvoe on from.

the only feelings she retains are the feelings which naruto rekindled in her which are those of the team 7 bond, and those she has not moved on from.

QUOTE
2-when did you think that sakura start to move on from sasuke

as early as chapter 3 with the bench scene. when she realized she needed to be nicer to naruto, and when Sasuke chastized her to do so.

QUOTE
3-do you think that sakura (when she confessed to naruto )was having any sort of romantic feelings towards sasuke and why ?

No her feelings were for Naruto and this was made very clear in her confession. The reason is explained above she has allready long moved on romantically to Naruto.

and guys this is a debate thread. Ahmed has a perfect right to ask questions if he hasnt seen any answers to the ones he has. if you dont want to answer them theres no need to be rude or dismissive.

I'm sorry guys, but my faith in the pairing has been shaken. At this point, I am seriously having doubt that sakura will ever be in love with naruto the way he loves her. my main concerns of course rise from the confession.

* it was a lie. We all know that, she did it to make sure naruto would be safe and not get involved with sasuke anymore than he was.
* as of yet, we have not had any positive indication that naruto still feels the same way he did before about sakura.
* those two had moved on from the confession like nothing ever happened. because they are "just friends" maybe that's as far as it will go.
* Sakura saw the confession as a way to help naruto, without actually being in love with him. after all that naruto has done for her, after everything those two have felt for one another, if all of that wasn't enough to make her love him, what will!?

/\ I do not believe it was a lie, I believe Sakura's intentions were to confess her love to Naruto in hopes that she could bring

him home and away from danger, just like she eventually said. The only thing I believe she lied about was not caring one way

or another about Sasuke, which is also obvious. I think she truly loves Naruto, but why would Kishi make it soo easy for

everyone to see them together. I think this is another way to prolong them eventually getting together. He could mix in the

truth with her lie to stump readers into being confused about her feelings and wondering if she loves Naruto or not. Perhaps

another way for him to pull readers into continually reading his manga to the end, or at least close to the end, or maybe just

for a little longer until he made the story itself so addicting that even after revealing the main couple he could still have

opposing fans glued to the story. - Just my thoughts on it smile.gif

It's... not love when you try to protect a person that's been there for you your whole life?- don't lose faith my dear. Compare Sakura's actions with Sasuke to Naruto- with Sasuke she was whiny(?) and obviously didn't seem to care much about anything else. With Naruto she was trying to protect him and rid of something she believe was hurting him (Also, risking her own friendship with him so she could kill Sasuke) I mean, just look at when they reunited with Sasuke; she was defending Naruto the whole time - yelling at Sasuke - and got upset when she heard Naruto might die DX *sniff*
I, personally, believe her confession was sincere because of this; she wanted to protect him from anymore pain, and I think it was out of her love for Naruto - even if i'm not speaking romantically - she wasn't being selfish with her confession, she wanted Naruto to be happy again, even risking her own happyness to see it happen.
As for the whole "blow off the confession thing", I don't think so. When they got back, they seemed comfortable together- I mean, at least he was talking to her (Where was Hinata? Oh yeah, in the backround). Come on, don't be shaken! There's been nothing more to add onto the confession yet, I mean, there kinda separated right now, yes? Kishimoto is gonna let it hang until near the end- i'm nearly positive. Don't lose your NaruSaku love, hunny!

what I mean by blowing off the confession is that, what if it just means that those could only just be friends?

You don't want to give up just yet, just be patience, you know what they say, a patience romance is the best one and if we keep our hopes up, more than likely our patience will be rewarded.

believe me when i say i don't want to give up, it's just, there are two things that concern me.

what if those will only be just friends now?
if the confession was a lie, which it probably was, if all those two have been through wasn't enough to make her love him, what will?

It's a fault that Naruto has, no matter what Sakura does, he'll always love her no matter what and despite what they've been through, I doubt Naruto has given up on Sakura, he still loves her with all of his heart.

Exactly! Like catsi said once, you don't make a promise of a lifetime to get the crush of a girl you like back if you don't tuely love them. Actually, I personally feel they've been closer then ever.

In the end, the two may end up only being friends........... the only thing is, Kishi hasn't developed his story in that fashion, hes been developing the NaruSaku relationship as 'close friends' and always making it so that right when hes about to uncover something about the couple's feelings or their romance, something interrupts it.

Kishi may make them friends in the end, but right now, it seems more likely that they will be a couple, we shall see.

there in lies the cruxt of your dilemma. your feeling the confession was a lie. but I have a little suprise for you.

It wasnt a lie.

in fact it was very much the truth. what the problem with the confession was, was that Sakura was trying to do two different things at once.

She was imultaneously trying to protect naruto and confess her feelings. As Ive stated in the past protecitng someone and confessing are different as night and day. protecting requires that you close off yourself or someone else in order to not hurt them or let them be hurt.

Confessing requires that you open yourself up and make yourself vulnerable to being rejected or hurt.

but you cant look right and left at the same time like sakura did. She tried to open up to him and let him know she was open to his feelings and interested. At the same time she tried to protect him from the rookies decision and subsequently the pain he would feel when Sai revealed the truth to him.

If you want the real kicker though that shows how much she loves him. try this on for size.

everyone makes such a big deal about Hinatas suicide run agaisnt Pein to protect Naruto. She sacraficed herself for him they say.

Well Ive got a bigger one. no one seems to remember that Sakura was willing to make a bigger sacrafice then her life.

She was willing to give up her heart and any chance that Naruto would love her. her mind set was such that when Naruto didnt believe her confession she turned to the only thing she could do. She decided she would kill Sasuke herself.

she would kill the first and most important bond Naruto had, and thus in her mind and thought process Naruto would hate her for it.

this is a sacrafice on the order of the Promise of a Lifetime. Where Naruto sacrafices any chance he thinks he has to be with Sakura for her happiness. for Sakura she attnmpts to sacrafice any happiness she might have to keep Naruto safe.

if that isnt Love I dont know what is.
