sigh... nh fans keep saying were biased since we thought chapter 615 was more platonic rather then romantic to me it was platonic since kurama helped him out to
Before sleep time...
Ok, here's my defense. I have said that chapter is a NH moment, but in level of friendship. Here's why. Naruto was being helped by Hinata and Kuruma, with the start of fire by Neji. She filled in for Neji because he died before saying anything more. Not only that, but Hinata puts her mind about the whole never giving up. Naruto now acknowledged that everyone are one and they will fight to the end. Naruto grabs her hand for symbolism of equal and trust. It's not exclusive to Hinata. The only part that is if you want to call it that is her comment about his hand. Naruto hasn't crack a smile until he's hyped to take out the enemy. The follow-up 616 didn't continue off for NH to be really romance hint.
Here's the problem, that chapter, Naruto was on his own world thinking what to do next and it was all about him getting the idea of sacrifice and friends/family. So, the buildup from 615 was to establish that Naruto is never alone and in 617, it's pretty much saying that all of them are one, especially the shot with him standing in front of thousand people. Then it ends.
This volume all began with never giving up, but this time, Sakura is getting the most of it. It is about her concern on Naruto. Naruto was getting exhausted, but he didn't want to give up and if you noticed, Sakura got two reaction shots, because she understood what Naruto truly meant with those words. Everyone believed they knew what he meant. Then, in the next chapter, everyone was ready to defend him as Sakura wants to help him. The next chapter, hopes are lost because Juubi was going to end it with one blast, but Sakura didn't like what she was seeing because this is not how Naruto wanted to see it end. She basically described the real truth behind his words and everyone are motivated, showing you how much she knows deeply. Now, 631 was this chapter 616, only a successful one.
First of all, Minato asked her, repeat her, if she's Naruto's girlfriend. This is pure blunt and you can't twist the words at all. This is pure romance question and the funny part is that Naruto said yes. Why would he say yes? Because he loves her and pretty much saying that this is true, yet Sakura didn't deny it. If you ask me, she was frustrated that he kept talking with "Ummm" and "uhhh" and so on. Minato was smiling all the way, because he approved it and know that the relationship is how his was with Kushina. Minato saw her as another Kushina, which people denied parallel exists. Well now, it bit them back hard. Not to mention, the fact Kushina wants Naruto to find the girl the same as her. The part with Naruto not mentioning his love way back makes sense for not showing up because it will be Minato to seal the approval. Lastly, Minato pretty much let Sakura to take care of him, especially after the war.
I don't need to go over the later scene, but a quick rundown. Many people think Sakura only become relevant when Sasuke is there since her character is all about him. Not true. While he is important to her, that's not to say she can't develop. In fact, Sasuke and her development only leads to the end of them. So, where are her developments coming from? Naruto. She was motivated by him and she helped him to recover. Naruto cares for her, so he wants her to be safe by staying back. However, Sakura determined to fight along with him with a bonus of Sasuke, and Naruto was concerned. When he saw her eyes, he realized that she is truly serious and he smiled in a way only she can give, thus, Team 7 is back (for now).
This volume is favoring Naruto because it's like his relationships' developments are getting close to closure such as Sasuke getting close to be 100% good and Sakura being with Naruto's side at all time like a lover. He's near to that dream/goal and he couldn't be more happier.
