effectively in the main poster Sakura's name is the second name credited after Naruto's. Just like RTN. Even though I think that doesn't have much importance.

Only reason people don't like it is because Sakura is apparently still after Sasuke. Lot of fanboys see it as 2 timing.

If there was no Saku->Sasu thing, it would be more popular than NH.

I agree. The constant hammering of their feminine aspects is so glaring when they are not meant to be feminine they are meant to be soldiers. It's smacks of some advertisement out of the fifties, touting female soldiers doing hard work but still managing to take time to fix up their hair and apply a little lipstick now and then!
 
And for fans of the series who actually like the girls to be rough and tumble, the constant harping on their feminine aspects almost sounds apologetic.

But when you can't map out a placing for these characters that's material to the overall plot, what other option is there but to decide upon a novelty item that will guarantee some level of return in their arrival in the movie? When all else fails, just have them strut their stuff to appeal to the group of viewers digging for nuggets of eroticism and fanservice.
 

Naruto's coat reminds me of one of the Chinese revolutionary jackets. I think it's a Mao suit? You're right it's very institutionalized. Both Naruto and Sakura's clothes seem to be a combination of Japanese and Chinese.
 
But yeah, Naruto's clothes change doesn't make much sense to me either. Why keep those same pants and just put a new jacket (and undershirt) with it. It looks like he picked out the wrong clothes in the morning from the pile of laundry at the bottom of his bed. Pants from his old outfit, jacket from his new. He would have looked better with black fatigues like Kakashi's.

Haven't you noticed how Naruto's clothes have been gradually losing their colourful nature since Part 2? His choice in attire to wear out in the field has always been conspicuously vibrant and lively compared to his schoolmates' respective styles and hue who have always been more tempered and reasonable (with Lee being an obvious exception)with what they wear.

The colour scheme was originally orange, white, and blue with an equally distinctive tint of dark blue in the fabric of the headband to match his exuberant style. Come Part 2, we see that he's discarded his older, smaller coat for a somewhat longer replacement with black becoming the secondary hue. It coats the sleeves, the high collar, and it frames the extension of the zipper down the middle. Now the liveliness of his go-to uniform has been toned down even more with the entirety of his upper garment deadening to black except the zipper. The only bit of the old dazzle that's retained is the pants.

Is this supposed to be some kind of outward representation of maturity? Does the idea of Naruto's outfit becoming increasingly standardised and riskless hold a purpose in Kishi's eyes? I'm hoping that there will be some answers in this upcoming movie.

I did read an interview somewhere awhile back that had Kishi say that the black in Naruto's Part II attire symbolized how darkness has entered Naruto's life, and therefore he's more mature because of it. I interpreted the "darkness" as being Naruto and Sasuke's first fight at the VoTE, and Naruto's failure to bring him back.

Team 8 is not Hinata alone. Shino and Kiba are the manliest and most badass rookies by a wide margin. It also helps they aren't an emotional mess like team 7 is. Just teammates doing their jobs without trulub involved.
