This is terrible. We grow this in Okinawa. It's bitter.

 

I think it's called pare here. But the pic that's posted by Iris isn't like pare. Maybe they're still in one family. What's that in english?

In Japan we call it Gouya. In English it seems to be called bitter gourd :confused:

It's a good supplement for diabetes. They make it as a tea here to lower the blood sugar of a person

Not worth eating I assure you!

Evil? It depends from how it is cooked. If I remember correctly, you have to rub salt on it and leave it for overnight to reduce the bitterness.

Well the time has come to unveil the my new comic strip called The Pidgin Man. It feels so weird to have my real name stamped on my works. I don't know if its me just being shy or nervous. It's difficult to describe. Is this feeling that first time authors have when submitting and displaying their work and story for the first time when the world gets to view it?
 
Synopsis: The story itself and the protagonist Ceasar the Pidgin Man is based off my Filipino middle age coworker and friend that idolizes Bruce Lee during his childhood days. The character Ceasar promises to bring the best of retarded comedy with his clumsy style of the martial arts Jeet Kun Do, humorous jokes and broken English slang of the Pidgin language of Hawaii.
