I don't see Kishimoto writing an affair in part 3. Or making both Sakura and Naruto widows/widowers. But I'm not reading part 3 either.

I mean I have two options confess to the girl that I actually love and will always love and witness Hinata committing suicide again and this time no one will save her. Because everyone that cared about her is already dead. Or pretend to let go of my feelings for Sakura-Chan and see Hinata.

Sakura: Or we can see each other in secret and she's never know. My love.

Its not the movie that movie I'm not looking forward to, but the mini manga series is our only hope. Not really the movie. For all we known, there could be no IT and NS in that movie period. If that's the case, Kishi better have an announcement right after the movie to explain what his mini Naruto manga series is about the true ending of Naruto. Otherwise he will loose so much Naruto fans.

Naruto: "Ummm... well I wouldn't say it.. .exactly like that."

 

Soft Taco Boy: "Go for it Dad. It's not like Uncle Sasuke gives a damn. We haven't seen him in three years."

Pretty much this^

The only way an affair is going to happen is fanfiction. Normally when a pair becomes canon it stays canon forever even if we as a fandom dislike it.
