The odds of a US release will probably depend on how well it does in Japan and elsewhere first. We tend to get our movies a few months late, at certain art house cinemas. I saw the last Trigun movie in a theater that way.
Honestly if it's NH I won't care if it never gets a US release.
I wonder why the studio has suddenly taken an interest in a worldwide release of their movie. Haven't they always relied on the home base to supply them with an adequate source of revenue before marketing their anime overseas? They should maintain a bit more faith in the premise they've chosen to appeal to a larger expanse of people in Japan.
