You are not wrong. he did say that his next title will be a monthly release and with the interview he had with Samura (author of the Blade Of The immortal) that his new manga will only be 10 volumes long. No he says he will no longer draw. This guy makes no sense.

Isn't that what you meant? If he's going to have a new manga and he won't be drawing, then wouldn't he be writing it instead? Or did you mean he just stops drawing Naruto?

It's amazing how much I feel like a disappointed mother when I see this series.     

 

I swear, all of this kitten only makes me shake my head in sadness. I still can't bring myself to completely hate these characters - I grew up with them, and despite all the bad, I've seen their good moments, and I just want them to go back to how they were   

 

I feel exactly like Lee Kang-to's mother in Gaksital, when she prays for the misguided jerk her son was at the time, to grow up and mature, and live like a person again...

 

Except there it's more satisfying, in that he actually changed. In a realistic manner. And for the better (I'm talking for both his character and the plot). All the changes we've seen in Naruto so far are so damn ooc, and none of it has made anything better. Except maybe proving points that we've known for a while.

 

Though I'll be honest - Praying may have helped Kang-to, but I'm not sure if anything will be able to help Naruto at this point

Imagine if findout that his original plan was to make Sarada, Sasuke and Karin's Daughter, but due to fan complaints he had to change it with SP and Sueisha keeping tabs on him. One I highly doubt that this is going to be the case considering that one it's Kishi the guy will just say anything to cover up his tracks that he's really failing to do.

 

 

I mean I said this on my last Livestream  for Gaiden "This Spin Off Could've been Kishi's Chance at Slightly Fixing Things"  and considering that ended completlely like The original series cause lets face it Sasuke says his goodbye in the original series then he leaves, and in Gaiden it's the same thing. What I would've liked to see was Sarada walking up to Naruto and asking him to take her on as his apprentince since that would've been a great way to connect Gaiden to Boruto The Movie.  And the closest thing to is it I"m going to become Hokage which is cool for Sarada's Character, but there honestly should've been more to connect it to the movie then just that line.

 

However lets be honest here The original series had nothing to with The Last so in a way I guess wash rinse and repeat since Gaiden wil have nothing to do with Boruto The Movie except for Sarada wanting to become Hokage which really you don't have to read Gaiden to find out in the movie.  The second closest thing i can come up with is the Gaiden's biggest focus aside from The mother BS drama was the conversation between her and Naruto and how that relationship builds by the end of the Gaiden even though the ending really negates most of the meaning behind what Naruto said.     

Sooner or later he will face the music and answer for what he's done. But it's not going to be anytime soon.

As for The Last and Gaiden and everything else view them as what they are. Independent of each other.

The Last is idiotic. Gaiden had no purpose whatsoever since the main plot ended up a joke. And the Burrito movie will be even more idiotic than The Last.

And all of them have no real connection to each other. The only connection are their names, and that's it.

You want to know the secret?

Take a look at their fan-art, their fan-fiction and what do you see? I will tell you...."not what the canon has shown." That's how they live with it. You see, in truth, they are in denial more than we are because they can't even accept the canon for what it is or their pairings. They paint NH and SS in these very romantic light, but in the canon manga and story that is not the case. Their denial is the fantasy that they live in that NH and SS is a "happy and wonderful relationship." Which is why the idea of divorce is so hurtful to them because they know any couple in real life would have been divorced by now.

But what perplexes me the most is HOW on earth can they be all  giggly about their canon?! I understand the idea of superimposing your fanon on canon, but the blatant lack of angry people (there are some, but they are so very few) howling 'hey you, yes you, kishimoto, you warped my OTP and RUINED it' is bloody baffling.

 

I know, River in Egypt. Still I'm certain that if something like this happened to 'our ship' (not particularly speaking of NS here, just of a OTP in a very general way) many of us - me included obvs - would be roaring pissed.

 

 

So why why why are they this happy and jolly? Could it really be only stupidity? Should I believe that all these people, just because of what they ship, are this dumb?? How could there be quite a number of qualitatively good fan fictions about SS (I won't read NH not even under torture at this point) well planned and yada yada written by people who gush at this ending and who aren't even remotely angry for what Kishicash did to their OTP??

 

Really, at this point my question is much more 'anthropological' than just 'Naruto-fandom'.

 

Sigh....no matter how much I try to think the answer still remains a mystery.

You said what a lot of us are thinking, M'Lady. Considering I know there's some logical fans in NH and SS who are pissed, but this... this applies to a lot of them.

That's simply because unfortunately the majority of pairing fans of NH and SS never really cared about how their favorite pairings happen or how they will turn out in the future; just that they happen.

They just wanted their pairings to happen just to yell "victory". They never cared about anything else.

 

And like your friends, there will always be a few exceptions.

out of curiosity I went on tumblr and found a SS doujinshi and was like "lets see what all these SS fans see in this naruto relationship  " and read it, the SS fans are in huge denial, more than "us" as fans have stated. 

Most of all the fan mangas show Sasuke all tsundere    ,  

SASUKE isn't tsundere, for pete sakes, thats like calling Madara tsundere~! And it's a shonen manga not a shoujo~!   

and they show way more affections in the doujinshi when I'm like "thats not something sakura would do" "sasuke WOULD NOT say that or DO that" 

and honestly, at least the NaruSaku doujinshi's KNOW how Naruto's personality is and Sasuke's but these SS fans are on Valium or something..

What I find funny is that both SS and NH are pairings made from a guilt-trip, and neither husband seems to want to hang around their family all that much.

and they're adopting each others kids :/

I think it's evidence of the fact that shipping wars can really ruin how a story is perceived. It's become so much about seeing your OTP win that the way in which it happens is rendered irrelevant. Logic, narrative consistency, and just good writing is secondary to seeing your pair end up together. For some, all that matters is that Sasuke banged Sakura.

Now when I say joke, I'm referring to how poorly it was handled in the end. The whole dramatic "Who's my mom? Oh Karin is my mom. Oh no my entire life was a lie" all that BS was "resolved" with a comical relief moment between Karin and Suigetsu.

Where the entire drama just flew out the window with a bad joke.
