And damn, One Piece is good. Thanks to Kaizoku-Fansubs and that Makino bot's awesome. All the episodes, chapters, movies, specials, some AMVs, I think I saw an OST on there... AND I haven't been in a single queue yet!
Already got the first 25 episodes, and I've only been downloading for about a total of 16 hours

Well everyone, I would like to announce, that I finally started on the essay, but the work i have done is horrible >_< I need to organize it better and put them in a decent format because right now they are just little side notes that will eventually form the essay! Volume 1 done. Next step volume 2! I will report more when i finish another volume or further on this work. I do hope you guys will appreciate that i am doing this even though no one asked me too hehe.
I would also like to add, once more, that a new chapter of Naruto's agony is out, I didnt post a new one today, but it didnt seem as many of you reviewed it =*( please tell me if something is wrong, I would like to fix that story to perfection. Thank you and im goinb back to work, i still have alot to do today, mostly doing some History notes and filling out my high school uniform measurments for graduation. Hehe. =)

Ok so fine I admit that I wouldn't completely mind if S***S*** and N***H*** happened. Heck for all I know it could work out that way but right now I just feel that there are far too many problems in those two pairings that just don't make them work.

If this pairing were to work Sasuke would have to stop being the world's biggest jackass and would actually have to become a normal person for him. However, is this even truly possible? Think about it what if Sasuke kills Itachi and does marry Sakura. Do you think she would really get the happy ever after she wanted even with Sasuke's mental instability? If anything she'd probably end up in one of those marriages where she would get the crap beaten out of her for no good reason at all. This is mainly because the hatred and anger that was caused by Itachi will never leave Sasuke and with no outlet to his anger and hatred he'd probably lash out at Sakura just because she's conviently there at the time. And really do you honestly think Sakura would be able to defend herself against SASUKE even with Tsunade's training? Seriously I wouldn't be surprised if Sasuke got to the point where he'd try to kill her just for standing up to him.
Another thing is the fact that Sasuke would only see Sakura as a source for pumping out heirs to the clan. He wouldn't love Sakura and probably wouldn't respect her in the way a wife should be treated. He'd probably have only married her because she was the only girl ON HIS TEAM so thus he was closest to her because of that and figures that's the best person to be with. Seriously if any other girl was on Team 7 Sasuke would probably jump at them too the first chance he got to resurrect the clan. If anything Sasuke would treat Sakura like a baby making piece of trash that he could just throw away when it's convient. Seriously though do you think he'd REALLY stay faithful to Sakura? He's got to rebuild the clan after all so I wouldn't be surprised if he cheats on her with a few dozen other girls as well.

Don't you think it's strange that Sasuke supposedly complimented Sakura when the day before he stated that she should just quit because her skill is LOWER than Naruto's? I mean really if he's going to put her down now if they'd get together Sasuke would probably put Sakura down all the time and Sakura would feel like that she's not good enough nor that she's doing anything right only because Sasuke says so.
Really is that the kind of relaitonship Sakura deserves? I honestly think Sakura deserves far better than that. Honestly how can people think that Sasuke and Sakura would end up happily ever after? Realistically that's not possible at all and if anything Sakura would end up miserable.

First up on the subject of Hinata. I really don't get why people like this coupling at all. Is it because Hinata is the shy, innocent girl who'd never do anything wrong? or is it because they'd just be CUTE together? If so that's a pretty dumb reason to support it.
Right now Hinata's completely a bland character at best. She's far too nice and sugary sweet that it's just plain sickening. That and she's just far too shy in general. Hinata's character really needs to change in order for it to work in my opinion.
Again what if Naruto and Hinata were to get together? First off if you know the saying "You have to love yourself before you can love others." Then you should see the flaw in N***H*** right away. Yes Hinata wants to change herself but she doesn't see herself as good enough in her own way. In this way Hinata's personality is rather depressing. Now using me as an example I've always considered myself a Naruto type person and I've been around a few Hinata type people in my time. To be honest I've found myself to be nice and try to help them at first only to try and seperate myself as far as possible from them sometime later on. This is mainly because a shy, introverted person like Hinata would push away Naruto's loud, extroverted personality. If anything Naruto would try to always cheer up Hinata and try to make her feel more confident yet in the end he would start feeling depressed because he would feel like he's not doing enough because he hasn't helped Hinata change. Naruto himself needs someone more confident and extroverted like Sakura to balance out his own extroverted personality. The fact that opposites attract does not always happen based on personality. Sometimes just personality alone can drive a couple far apart.
Another thing is that Hinata would be far too dependant on Naruto to make her feel confident and to make her feel strong. Hinata needs to learn to do this herself. If she has to depend on Naruto constantly then I could see her becoming too overbearing which is something that Naruto probably wouldn't be able to handle. After all by judging Naruto's extroverted personality; Naruto's the type of person who needs to have his own space and be free at times. Hinata would be far too clingy and Naruto would probably end up being annoyed by having to pick Hinata up all the time.
Also there is the fact that she's just far too nice. Just look at the chuunin exam for example. When Naruto told everyone in the room that he'd defeat them all what did Hinata do? She giggled! That's all she did while Sakura quickly quieted Naruto and told him not to make himself a target. Seriously if Hinata wouldn't be able to stop Naruto from getting too full of himself she could get him killed. This is another reason why I feel Sakura is a better choice because Sakura actually balance's out Naruto's loud and cocky attitude with her more confident and common sense attitude.

Now just looking at NaruSaku I have to say that I love this coupling because I feel like they balance each other out. However, I want to mention one thing and this is to all those people who think Sakura doesn't deserve Naruto because she's a b**** or whatever. Sakura is the main female character and it's common for the main female character to be characterized the way Sakura is.
Just look at One Piece for example. The most popular pairing is Sanji x Nami. Now where Sakura beats down Naruto; Nami treat's Sanji not only like a servant boy but like a load of crap too. Yet people sympathize with Sanji and believe that Nami will come around and love Sanji for all he does for her. Well couldn't the same be said for Sakura and Naruto? After all how do you know that Sakura couldn't come around and fall in love with Naruto after everything he has done for her? Seriously if Sanji x Nami is perfectly acceptable then so is NaruSaku.
As I said there are many main female characters just like Sakura
Kagome from InuYasha
Akane from Ranma 1/2
Misty from Pokemon
Anna from Shaman King
ChiChi from DBZ
Asuka from Evangelion
Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin
As well as many other main female characters yet I don't see anyone complaing about them on the level that I see people complain about Sakura. After all characters like Sakura are not uncommon so I don't see why people have such a grudge. Sure she has that thing for Sasuke but it's not like she'll have it forever and she has in fact began to start loosening her crush on Sasuke and has started to become her own person. 236 proved that by considering both Naruto and Sasuke as her precious PEOPLE just like Tsunade's precious people were her brother and Dan.
Naruto and Sakura have picked each other up a lot as well. Such as Naruto reassuring Sakura that Sasuke wouldn't go to Orochimaru and cheering for her during Ino's match, while Sakura thanked Naruto for cheering for her during Ino's match AND cheeing for Naruto throughout his match when she didn't even cheer on Sasuke at all. In 236 Sakura was the one who pulled Naruto out of his depression and he in turned inspired Sakura to become stronger.
Naruto would even risk his life to save Sakura he's proved that by going against Gaara and not giving up even when he could only move using his chin until he knew Sakura was safe. Sakura in turn was willing to even protect Naruto from the sound nins in the forest of death and even stood up to Sasuke when she told him that "At least Naruto's not a coward." In my opinion Sakura shows her true strength around Naruto and acts more like herself. She doesn't need to pretend to be lady-like and all like she does around Sasuke.
Another thing is that they just fight like a married couple in general like in the forest of death when Naruto kept announcing that he had to go to the bathroom and Sakura kept whacking him for it telling him that it wasn't polite to announce that in front of a lady, or when Sakura silenced Naruto after he made that remark that he would defeat everyone before the first exam. Even when Sakura promised to start being nice to Naruto she got pissed off because he wasn't acting mature. It's tiny things like that; that just make NaruSaku seem cute and yet shows that it has a lot of room to grow.
In my opinion I feel NaruSaku's a great coupling. S***S*** and N***H*** are ok I guess but they just don't seem realistic. They just seem more like a fairy tale happily ever after kind of pairing and well from all I've seen of the series I just don't see those two pairings ever happening.

You forgot to add love hina =p. Great essay, but I think mine will be greater (Not to be mean or anything for the essays, they are great!) I am going down to the bottem of the pits, rereading every little Naruot page, looking at almost every detail. In the end I will need a bit of help from some others for only little details but if all goes well, this will be the biggest NarutoxSakura essay ever! It will point out things that you may have never thought about and things that you have not noticed! I for one am noticing alot more things then I usally did, and things that i have forgot about cause they were little detailed. Well, back to work!

You have some nice points there, Aethos. I have been noticing some things happening between Naruto and Sakura.
Those were actually some of my reasons why I can't stand seeing Sakura pining over Sasuke. I just couldn't explain it myself. Maybe it was because I hated the guy for being the jackass he is, and I don't want the poor girl to experience that kind of pain. Now I know she shouldn't be wasting her time to try and capture Sasuke's heart because he will never love her, even if she begged. Hooh, I'm feeling more NaruSaku than before, and I expect to see more in Uzumaki Naruto's essay.
I do hope Kishimoto reads these essays, or at least realize everything that was written in the essay even if he didn't read it.

Another point like the one raised by Aesthos can be made here. In manga and anime the main female caracter often pins after someone else.
The example of Evangelion (even if Shinji/Asuka isn't oficial, Rei is the guy's hal;f sister in a twisted sence.) with the senseless crush on Kaji is the first one that comes to mind. While some fics will depict a semblance of relationship (smut most of the time) there isn't any possible way this can happen.
In ranma a similar position also happens at the very begining with Akane. She has a crush over doc Tofu and gets over it.
In the Rumiko Takahashi novels "Maison Ikkoku" the whole theme of the manga is about getting over a past love and moving forward. While the main caracter can't be called 'kitteny' she does have the usual flaming temper.
These examples are to support the point I am trying to make in this text. In manga and Anime in general the female main caracters are often confronted with crushes within their love life. These 'possible relationships' can sometimes lead to something but they always resorb with the heroin giving up their childish infatuations for the much better (but normally less good looking and stupider) other guy who just happens to be the hero.
The same can, objectively speaking, be said of male caracters. Examples are as given:
Ash in the Pokemon manga
Kenshin in Ruroni kenshin
Rick Hunter in Macross (or Robotech)
In the Pokemon Manga, Ash has a crush on Gary's sister May (the name was taken for the latest TV series) but as the series progressees the crush fades as he encounters more people (most of the time the female gym leaders) confirming that it's a crush and not love.
In Kenshin's case it's different, the whole final arc is about letting go of the feelings he had for his deceased wife and the hathred relied to his past life. The themes are similar but the context is very different.
The Macross series gives the most realistic passage from teenager to adult. Rick has a huge crush on Minmei (false marriage) but their distance makes him go for his commanding officer (not very professional but who cares)
Thus we could get this counter argument from N***H*** fans. This can be coutered however.
first: In all those cases, the shift of attention is apparently because of the distance which separates the two protagonists. In Naruto there is a physical distance between the two teamates but also a closeness because of their comon goal (Sasuke) and the training they receive from the senins. Sasuke is far from both of them which makes Sakura's abandoning her feelings more probable then the fact that Naruto is leaving.
Second: The shift is also aided by the presence of others to catch attention. Hinata does......NOTHING! which makes her less then likely to get Naruto's attention. Sakura however losses Sasuke to fawn over and has to reorient herself (This part is theoric on who she ends up with officialy. Unless Kishi told anyone?)
Third: In all those cases the shift was made from someone sweet and gentle (May, Kenshin's wife, Minmei) to someone violent and 'kitteny' (Mysty [kiss scene if I remember right!] Commander Hayes and Kaoru) proving further the point. Hinata is sweet and gentle, even her fighting style is called gentle. it goes against normal manga styles for Naruto to suddenly go to Hinata but it makes sence for Sakura to go from Sasuke to Naruto!
The final point in this is the usual compositions of couples.
Ash/Misty from Pokemon
Asuka/Shinji from Evangelion
Akane/Ranma from Ranma
About any anime or Manga pairings which do not feature Yaoi
In most mangas the couples are composed of a violent, maniac, kitteny, jealous girl who would never think about saying she loves the guy. Even Ranma is an odity because of the final chapters

Ranma admits his love for Akane but he isn't sure about it, you have to read it to understand.
Because of that single fact it is different.
The guys are also either useless whimps (shinji) Hyperactive brats (Ash) or macho powerhouses (Ranma)
Somehow, there are a lot of females in Naruto who fit the hole for female caracter but the fartherst one from this is Hinata. There are animes where the main girl is shy and naive (gundam Wing.....not sure for Seed, I know there's Kagari whos kitteny but she'"s also....that would spoil it, I can't say. Flame of Recca with the 'Princess' and a lot of younger audience anime.) but most of them center the story around the girl. (Relena in Wing, Hime in Recca) or just don't propose a realistic pairing.
Naruto (who is an hyper active powerhouse) needs a match, but who could it be? In the light of the deductions about anime made earlier, I have to place my choice on Sakura who fits better into the role of "Standard anime coupling"
Hinata would be the last choice in this series for the reasons stated above while Sasuke is now completely out of the picture for the pink haired girl.
Another example of such coupling possibility would be between Shikamaru and either Ino or Temari (I will not pronounce myself here upon the dilemna.....I'd give him both if I had the chance!
)Shika is also a caracter fitting for two classes, a Whimpy (for effort but that's righting itself) powerhouse. and the couplings for him are mostly unanimous: either one of the blonde girls, maybe even both! (I can dream can't I?)
Anyone will agree that the gidelines given above fit with what anyone (save yaoi fans who are crazy) thinks with this coupling. It also shows that Kishi roughly follows these said lines of manga conduct proving, without a doubt, that Naru/Saku is, at the moment, the most likely pairing.

HinataFanBoy, copy paste mine if you want, it contains argumentation and counter argumentation for almost every of my points upon the pairings.
Final note, I consider myself a Shika type of guy, most things are too troublesome in life. I have to say my girlfriend is also a Ino type of girl. (Go Shika/Ino) I just didn't take position and start another debate within my argumentation over another coupling. And yes, my girlfriend is too troublesome which is why I rant internally, outer ranting tends to make her go balistic (as any woman I would rant about)

OOO Nice!!! I especially liked your points, Godai. VERY true. There IS somewhat of a formula, and it'd be SWELL if Kishi stuck to it...*grumbles* Ah well. I'm perfectly willing to sit back and wait for what is to come, because a.) Naruto is my favorite show/manga EVER, and b.) I have the happiness of a Kakashi backstory in the not-so-distant future to drive me on. XD XD XD THAT alone will make me high as a kite for the next, oh, YEAR. Hee-hee!!

I absolutely loved Episode 107. They put in NaruSaku fillers! It was pretty cute to see Naruto and Sakura bickering like a couple at the bedside, hehe. Sakura was also worrying over a certain guy on the rooftop. Not one "Sasuke-kun". She was terrified for Naruto.
The anime is kicking away the supports for the SasuSaku and NaruHinas. We've seen Sakura worry about Naruto, even though he was hitting Sasuke as well, and we've seen that Sasuke was NOT jealous about Sakura possibly falling for Naruto - he was only jealous about his power.
The next episode is going to have the NaruSaku chat (where Sakura tells Naruto about the Curse Seal) so it should be cool. I'm awaiting 109 with bated breath - it should be the one with Sasuke rejecting Sakura. Hopefully, the anime will make it completely clear he was only interested in power and only wanted Sakura to be quiet so he could get away.
If 109 turns out as we hope... the SasuSakus had better start getting on the lifeboats.

I did mention it was 2 am when I wrote this. being so tired I'm almost falling gives me a philosophical insight on a lot of things but also a less then better comprehension of what I read. In other words, I read my sources when I'm awake and write on them at ungodly hours, the weirdest part of all this is that it actualy works!
All of this to say I'm sorry for the confusion but My offer now stands for UN instead of you Smiters. I don't care who I helkp, it'll get my mind off soem familial issues (No fighting but somehow that would be a lot better)
