Ino x Sai is perfect b/c Ino's a psychologist and Sai is mentally scarred by ROOT. They could spend a lot of time together through therapy sessions, assigned by the Hokage or someone. And with Ino being outgoing, she can teach Sai some social skills. She can also read through Sai's fake smile and always know what he's thinking through her clan jutsu and traits.

I agree that the novels aren't canon, though, Hell, I don't think even Kishimoto seriously read them, much less consider them canon. Otherwise, he'd never be able to live it down if he has any lingering emotions left for Naruto (which is impossible not to have for a manga you've worked 15 years on, carefully characterizing every character like Naruto, Sasuke, SAKURA,)

I think Kishimoto liked Sakura, just like most of us, but after making SasuSaku happen, he can hardly handle writing his own series anymore.. So other, less competent writers, do it for him.
Hence, the novels. Which, logically, he should hate.

just because you find these novels to be ridiculous doesn't mean they're not canon. these novels include canonical events that were not included in the last, like presenting nh with gifts for their wedding. these novels have been promoted with the last piggybacking off of it. with naruto, filler scenes become canon and canon gets rewritten. the last is a prime example of that. and guess what? it's canon too.

Rewriting isn't the word I would use.

 

It is more like there wasn't much development on Hinata's past in the first place that they are now using the opportunity to manufacture moments for her. Basically adding meat to her skeleton development.

I was just referring to that filler moment with movie moment. That could be true on what you said, but it seems bs because Hinata's confession has nothing on that moment. More of his determination. Wouldn't it be worth mentioning in your death sentence that moment because Karin sure did.

And as I said before, I know that date thing is a canon piece, so therefore I will make a fanfic that includes this scene and it will be canon as well lol

 

That's basically what Sakura Hiden is if you didn't catch my drift. If you consider it canon you have to consider all stories that used a estabilished canon point as part of canon

What about movies and filler episodes with flashbacks? Or episodes with manga events in them, alongside scenes written by the anime team? Are they canon too?

Also I can't believe Naruto is that stupid. How does he not know it's customary for the man to pay for the date? Everyone knows that, gotdamn.

no, but filler episode with flashbacks in them are canon since the last made them canon. hinata was in fact bullied, and naruto did intervene. it's now established as canon. and the filler scene were made before the last, and with the movie it's canon.
