While that sounds reasonable, do you really think that this was the original motive for Pierrot's desire to prescribe so much emphasis to Hinata? If this man can pose a threat to Naruto the demigod then a few insects from the long-forgotten clan of doujutsu pushovers should be no trial to him. He should have taken Hiashi for better leverage, if nothing else. 

I think it's being done this way just to add more "drama" to the romance part of the movie, sad to say. Either that we haven't been giving all of the details and will have to wait for them or....watch the movie. This might be something that was not considered as well.

Then maybe he's a creepy rapist to top it all, and Hiashi wasn't to his liking and Hanabi a bit too young to fit his taste...

 

I don't see what could make Hinata super special, compared to her dad. Maybe Villain wants to take advantage of her apparent meek nature thinking she would collaborate more easily than an hard man like Hiashi.

 

I know most people on this forum already hate this movie for obvious reason, but I'm glad Kishi could give us some explanation on the ties between the Byakugan and Kaguya to be honest.

Is stupid is that sounds. Yes. I would rather watch a crappy movie with a filler villain because that's exactly what this new guy is and a cheesy nonsensical plot that has Naruto, Sakura and Hinata in the same team. That is done for sole purpose to have a love triangle between these three, only to end with Naruto telling Hinata he doesn't feel the same. Than watching Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke and their so called team work.

It's not even because of Naruhina, I just can't fathom why we would get the last Naruto movie centered around a side character love interest, especially if if it's NOT even gonna lead up to anything in the end. It's like a big waste of time.

I dont understand why u guys are taking the scarf that seriously like its some bad a** girl!!!! Am i the only one that is enjoying the new outfits. I find the red scarf really cool. Though i dont like narutos hairstyle i would have liked the hair to be long like minato. It would have be way too cooler . But i am ok with the current outfit.

Yeah, I expected them to be orange and black. It looks out of place now, because since the beginning of part two and now after another time skip he's been using more and more black.

I think people are freaking out (not that I agree) because:
-We got a quote from Kishi saying the movie is connected to the original series and is about love.
-We have a flashback scene of Naruto and Hinata as little kids.
-We know that Hinata's the one that gives him the red scarf, and that's it's a present she's always wanted to give him.
-We have a scene of Sakura smililing with her hands on Hinata's shoulder, and Hinata's blushing.
No matter how much I belive the manga completely points toward NS, this still doesn't look good for us coming from a canon movie from that takes place after a timeskip.
All we can do for now though is wait until next week and hope everything finally gets cleared up.

However, we also shouldn't forget:

-We've got acomment from the narrotor tesing about Naruto being effected by Sakura's beauty

- Sakura is made to look a bit like Kushina (And Kishi must know that at some degree, he made all the characters after all)
- Sakura and Naruto Sketch are seen together twice in the movie.
- The plot does not contradict any NS development that occured
- We don't see anything about Naruto's feeling towards Hinata, just determination to save her.

I agree. Considering it's the very last movie, I'd rather it have some kind of memorable theme to it.

Because we have to freak out it's in our nature. You see it comes with the territory of being a NS shipper.

Like I said a while back ago all this fandom needs in order to kneel is Hinata.

Maybe NS has many thing to lose (development) and NH not.

Hiashi has never given a crap about Hinata (if I remember well, he told Kurenai, he didn't care if Hinata died in mission as she was useless to the clan). It's implied he has chosen Hanabi as the heir over her.

I agree. What was the point of having the first sketches be Naruto and Sakura, having the first anime designs realesed (twice) be Naruto and Sakura together, having a commercial comment on Naruto's reaction to Sakura's looks, making both Naruto/Sakura the same height as Minato/Kushina, and giving Sakura Kushina's hairstyle if the movie's going to be about NH. It makes no sense.
Even so, while I still belive in NS, I'm definently not liking what the recent news from the is implying. Hopefully this is just SP being SP and next week we'll get NS from the manga.
