One thing I'm worried about...

After this it's clear that Sakura probably will nolonger love Sasuke after he stabbed her through the damn chest.

But, how is she going to come to realize her feelings for Naruto in less than 10 chapters? I mean, unless she realizes that the forehead thing was Naruto all along... Meh.

Man, you people are not thinking from Naruto's pov. You are looking at it from Sakura's pov.

Just think about this from Naruto's pov-

You have a guy friend and a girl friend. You really like the girl but you know she likes your friend. Your guy friend does not like her. You see that your girl friend is sad about this and suffers because of this. You see her thinking about and crying over the guy many times. You reach a conclusion that she likes him a lot. You just want to see her happy and you decide to back-off and just become a supporting friend who is there for her. You also know that she knows you like her. She has even made some sort of confession about loving you. You are in total confusion. You are not sure where you stand in this issue.

I ask you- Would you butt in and interfere in this? You know she likes him a lot. Can you really be rude to the other guy and defend her? Wouldn't you be worried that she might not like you doing that? Its not an easy situation.

And after all this,  you see her again saying - " If there is a space in your heart for me......." to that other guy.....................

There is nothing you can do except silently watch on and let those two resolve this issue themselves.

OK Here's the thing. Through the entire part 2 of this so called story, because a good chunk of part 2 was decent the rest of it it's crap. Naruto has not shown any interest in Sakura, it's always Sakura showing interest in him. He always hides his feelings behind his promise or behind Sasuke.

He never shows initiative. He never gives Sakura any hints that he likes her. For example the moment in the hospital, I guarantee you without a shadow of a doubt that if Naruto would've taken advantage of that situation and kiss her, she would not back out, actually she wouldn't mind.

You remember when Sai told Sakura that Naruto loves her? You remember how shocked she was when she found that?

The reason is simple Naruto never showed interest in her, in that way. He always goes "Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke. + ∞"

Moving on to whenever Sasuke and Sakura have a "moment", Naruto acts like a child and Sasuke and Sakura are the parents when their fighting. He always (part 2) takes Sasuke's side or makes some stupid comment like "Yeah Team Work. Team 7 Rules". And then acts like nothing major happened. Oh Sasuke was going to kill Sakura, nah Sakura is part of team 7. We love each other and all that bs.

How about this instead of taking Sasuke's side. He takes Sakura's side. You know showing her that he actually does care about her. You know signs of love.

By doing what he's doing now, he'll never be with Sakura. And to be honest I'm glad. You know why, because even with Kishi's amazing writing skills when it comes to females, Sakura is an amazing girl and I hate to say because it's basically a NH argument. She deserves better.

Naruto is not good enough for her.

I disagree that Naruto was worse than Sakura this chapter (she looked so pathetic it's... pathetic), but the fact that Naruto doesn't defend Sakura and pretty much gives Sasuke a free pass when it comes to him sh**ting on Sakura (and a free pass for everything, actually) pisses me off so much. In Part I he defended her (even though Sasuke didn't do anything as bad as he did in part II, of course, but still), I loved that. But when Naruto saves Sakura from Sasuke's attempt on her life all he does or says is "Sakura-chan's part of Team 7 like us." As if Sasuke actually gave a kitten about Team 7. And then completely forgets about how the woman he loves was about to killed by his "friend." Ugh.

And later when Sasuke calls her useless he reacts, and defends her, but only with "we should use teamwork!" So I'm glad he had some kind of reaction but it was insignificant.

Yeah he had a reaction then he goes to fight so he can bring Sasuke back.

I really this perfect brotherly love.

These translations are ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can a whole chapter get translated so differently? MP and MS have completely different Translation, when it only came to pairings.

Look at this...

MP:http://www.mangapanda.com/naruto/693/9

MS:http://readms.com/r/naruto/693/2549/11

MS translation sounds so insane. It's like Kakashi is saying "Sasuke you idiot, all Sakura wants is for you to take her. Just take her already. Ravage her. And take Naruto as well, he's been chasing after you for so long it's very clear he wants you. And you know what Sasuke? Please take me Sasuke. Because I always love you deeply. We are ours to pleasure you."

This is the dumbest translation I have ever seen from MS. I know they're biased but this is ridiculous.

i won't make fake spoilers or predictions anymore...I just bring bad luck....

Oh come on man, do you seriously believe you bring bad luck. It has nothing to do with you, it's just this glorious writer that always finds a way to better enrich the story by screwing it up.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

I don't know, Sasuke got himself in the bingo book, nearly killed her twice beforehand, and just threatened to kill her master, and she still "loves" him, so it's entirely possible she'll still "love" him after he did even this at the rate this is going. I was certain Karin was going to come to her senses after Sasuke impaled her like he did, but she's still humping his leg absolutely infatuated. Sakura has proven to be a better character than Karin, though...at least, until this chapter, where as ramenanmitsu pointed out, she regressed. Which is frightening. She still is a better character than Karin, but this isn't a good sign.

And yes, the way Naruto acted towards Sasuke after Sasuke stabbed Sakura was not surprising. Sakura is basically like a silver medal to Naruto. She comes AFTER Sasuke. Never before. If the girl you're in love with, no matter whether she's in love with someone else, was stabbed painfully albeit it not being real you become angry. End of story. But no, Naruto probably lacks the ability to love or become protective when the offender is Sasuke.

I said a lot of the same things in my post.  But afterward, I wondered about the genjutsu part and your post reminded me.

Does Naruto even know what Sasuke said and did to Sakura in the genjutsu?  Naruto might be thinking it was something just to sideline her, not realizing it was so hateful and cold.

In retrospect, I wonder if a more brutal reenactment of the one good, kind moment Sakura and Sasuke ever shared -- right before he left Konoha the first time -- was just for Sakura's benefit so that maybe she'd get it through her head.

After all, Sakura was already down and out before Sasuke made the comment about her daydreaming about love, and then said he had no interest in her.

That doesn't mean I excuse Naruto for standing there allowing Sasuke to do as he pleased, but as clueless as Naruto tends to be he might not have imagined that Sasuke would be as cruel as he was when delivering that private thought to Sakura.

they took some liberty about kakashi's part whatever..

@ramen

If the NS is still the endgame, how can all this turn to their favour? I mean... If sakura is still in love with Sasuke, and Kakashi is the main supporter of them, how NS will become the endgame? Don't misunderstand me, it isn't like I am pessimistic on NS. It's just that i feel that Kishimoto just got in a trap.

I feel as though many people on here are overreacting, for various reasons. In terms of Sakura's character and how she approached Sasuke this chapter, it really was no surprise; Kakashi said that she's a kind girl who wants to be able to rescue Sasuke. He said she even sees it as a duty, which means that she's taken it upon herself to do so.  As I explained in my analysis post, she tried to reach out to him, first and foremost, to dissuade him from fighting against Naruto. Her first goal was to stop what was going to happen, hence the fact that this was the first thing she implied with addressing him with her feelings. On that note, it wouldn't make sense- as awesome as it would've been- for her to be really aggressive when approaching him. It would contradict the kindness Kakashi observed in her, if she were to start screaming at him and maybe even to attack him. As bizarre as it is, Kishi was being consistent with how he characterized her. For real, with the exception of the comedic moments, have we actually seen Sakura genuinely lash out or hurt someone, besides Sai who made a personal affront to both her and Naruto?

On top of that, her "feelings" for Sasuke are still to be expected. The war has only spanned 2 days, during which time a lot of chaos took place and a lot of developments were witnessed. She still hasn't fully sorted out her feelings, which have been in overdrive, thanks to everything around her. She doesn't trust Sasuke anymore and clearly regards him in a negative light, while she's trying to stand up for Naruto and protect their precious dream. Yes, for us and even for third party observers in the story, it's more obvious how the nature of Sakura's feelings have changed. However, for her, a stressed out, exhausted, and confused person, it's not nearly as clear.

The point of all this rambling? Give everything some time. Development isn't something that is witnessed on a chapter-to-chapter basis. It's something that's seen over time and best appreciated in the overall context of this story, which requires taking a step back and thinking about everything that has happened up to this point. It's especially too soon to say whether her character has been destroyed, because there's still so much more to this story that has yet to occur. We'll possibly have more insight into her reasons for everything and how she decides to handle everything hereafter in the following chapter. Besides, the events of this chapter confirm what we already know: Sasuke doesn't care about Sakura and the prospects of any romance between them have irreparably been reduced to none. I understand that everyone feels differently about various things that have taken place and that we all have different interpretations of it, but we should ultimately have faith in Kishi. He clearly is setting up the story for something big, so we just need to see where he takes it. Then, we can truly determine how things were handled.

Just my two cents!

An open ending is a very likely possibility too and it would preserve us from more nonsense.
I wonder how long will this fight with Sasuke and the manga last ? I hope no more than 5 chapters and 1 chapter of epilogue.

At this point I'm starting to think that Naruto doesn't deserve or care about having a girlfriend. 200 chapters later and he still hasn't even mentioned Hinata's confession. Meanwhile there have been plenty of instances where Sakura has shown interest in him like the Ichiraku scene where she pulls closer to him and offers to feed him and he never pursues her or even addresses it.

Naruto doesn't even strike me as a hero right now. Whenever Sasuke comes into the picture it's like he's a different person. At the end of Part 1 he threatened to break all of Sasuke's bones just to bring him back to the village. Where did that lovable idiot go???

His concern for Sasuke is simply greater. Like he said, he doesn't see himself as being fit to become Hokage or confess to Sakura, until he's been able to rescue Sasuke. In all fairness, considering that this has become a bit of an international affair in the process that reflects a lot of deeper issues in their world, I wouldn't say that his priorities are off.

I think Naruto doesn't know what Sakura saw in the genjutsu. He just noticed she was knocked of by it. Also, is she still under that genjutsu, or did she just felt out of energy after the genjutsu ? It's not really clear. I believed she was cast under the genjutsu, but some people are saying that she just passed out. What do you think KnS ? I also thought this heart piercing thing was symbolic from Kishimoto.
But I guess you're right, since Naruto doesn't know what Sasuke really done in that genjutsu, it could explain why Naruto doesn't react that much.

You are right, it is inconsistent with the MS translation. If MS does turn out to be the correct translation, I won't surprised though, because this is Kishi's writing. -_-

So long story short

I firmly believe that Sakura will wake up and realize how stupid she's been and realize that it was Naruto all that time.

Is there other people who now sees the positive side of this? That Sasuke killed SS?

He doesn't want a girlfriend. He wants a boyfriend. This would be so much easier if he just comes out of the closet.

The lovable idiot is gone. Kishi decided that hard work is for losers, so he made Naruto into the child of prophecy aka Jesus. And only through fate will you accomplish anything.

Haha! Thank you! It's important to just step back and let Kishi do his work. There's still so much that can be done with the story, so it's important to consider that anything now can be developed and/or changed differently in the future.

But the Land of Iron Arc established that he was released from the POAL. Twice he said in response to Sakura's confession that going after Sasuke wasn't about the promise. Then there was the period before the war where Naruto had plenty of time in between to address Hinata and Sakura's confessions.

But of course in this chapter he mentions the promise again despite the above. Arrgghh, this story is a complete mess. Kishi should hav just had Sasuke and the Akatski attack the Leaf with Pain and ended the series there, it would hav been perfect.
