I love, loved the fact that everyone played an important role in this one, and that Sakura wasn't just knocked out cold and helpless.
Shizune = the 'bad-news-lady' everytime that door opens quickly
ANBU = simple nin-fodder, with none to this day, having proved their worth as Black-ops.
For those who have complained about things turning DBZ-esque... they've got some points to make in this one. Especially about the Genki Dama Rasengan at the end. Plus... shouldn't Naruto have been really injured after that attack? It was much bigger than the one he used on Kakuzu. He also stuck his face in it, it wasn't just his arm. Shouldn't Lee have been also injured or weakened from using the Primary Lotus? After Kakashi's body was forced to use his MS (for a much longer duration of time than he's ever used it in the past) why was he still able to fight? I thought the Raikiri was unwieldy unless you had the Sharingan? So why was this guy able to use it so easily? I understand this last point might have been to make Pain seem stronger in the series, but why wasn't this bad guy able to absorb Naruto's Oodama Rasenshuriken? I know these are nit-picky things, but they're valid questions that would be used to tear apart a fanfiction.
As far as villains go... isn't this guy just Orochimaru? And wasn't the basic premise of this story the same as the Sasuke retrival arc? Was this done purposefully to further the anxiety of the whole Sasuke subject in the manga's plot?
This certainly was an enjoyable movie with great action and the best art so far for any of the movies. And if I remember correctly, didn't Kishimoto help write this one, as well as the next one? The Gaara fight!

And I had suspected for a while now that his sand barrier wouldn't be automatic now without the Ichibi.
"That's my Naruto..." FTW!!! It's because of that comment that there's a link to NaruSaku when Sai makes the comment about girls being violent to show they care, although it could've also been about Sai. The second time he makes a comment toward the end about them becoming strong for their man, could be about either Naruto or Kakashi (I know it's a crack pairing, I'm simply stating the 'ammo' could be used to vouch for either shipping).
LOL, team, Shik-Ino-Cho still only has one registered win under their belt as a team.

And that was with the help of Team Kakashi.
Ten-Ten's technique with the gazillion exploding tag darts.

I've always felt like she was extremely underrated as a shinobi, she's just never had a chance to show off. Ten-Ten vs. Deidara would've been cool, until he pulled out that horrifying micro-explosive technique.
Was it just me, or was Naruto's speech to Shikamaru before Asuma's ghost showed up, confusing and self-contradicting? Glad Asuma showed up to tell me what Naruto was trying to say.
Looking from an objective point of view... what Naruto did was just wrong. I mean, what if he had failed? His entire village would've been destroyed. I know Naruto never gives up and that in his mind he believed he would succeed, but what if he had not? Which brings me to another point, I understand the whole, movie villains and tv villains having some fault that prevents them from finishing off the hero when they have the chance in order for the movie and character to continue, but seriously, why did he give them back their chakra and why didn't he just use that technique he used at the beginning of the movie against the ANBU to detain and then kill off Naruto, Sai, Sakura, and Shikamaru (there's a lot of S-names)? From what little we saw of him, there was no reasoning behind any of those actions. If he had used that technique, it would've been the end of movie and Naruto's actions would've been considered wrong. I think Gaara and Shikamaru were correct in their initial decisions.
The ending! LOL!!!!! Just like when he was training to learn the Rasenshuriken. Run Naruto! Ruuuuuun!!!
Overall fun movie. And it further fuels my want of NaruSaku to be canon.
