Now that the fight is already over, I think it's time for Naruto to collapse from the poison. That would let Sakura spend time healing him, while Kakashi rouses Lee, Neji and Kiba. Hopefully we'll have a nice bit of progress between Naruto and Sakura in the next few chapters.

While I'm all for more NaruSaku-ness in the next couple of chapters, I highly doubt about the poison. We should had seen the side effects in this chapter. Naruto was standing healthy and tall unlike Sasuke who was breathing heavily.

I really liked this chapter. It had a nice blending of tension, served with a splendid amount of strong close up pics that reminding me of an old Sergio Leone western as the two rivals faced off.

I love the fact that Naruto has finally made his resolutions about Sasuke. How he finally drew a line in the sand and told Sasuke where exactly he stood. As well the strength of his conviction and the will to fulfill it.

Also I found the "wtf!!@$%&!" moment from Sasuke priceless. If anything, I think that actually say that Sasuke isn’t as far gone as everyone thinks. I mean if he was nothing Naruto could have said, would have gotten a reaction out of him.

I also wanted to comment that after reading through some other people's responses to the chapter; I'm slightly saddened how people can take some things completely out of context. But I suppose that's the internet factor, no use trying to fight it I guess.

I have to say these last few chapters have been really amazing. They've really been reestablishing how Kishi has kept us here pinned here every week, during this long journey. From simple factors such as good character development and good writing. And also I, like the rest of you are interested in seeing Sakura’s response next week when she finally gets Naruto by himself.

While we are all hoping for the next NaruSaku moment, I have to make a devil's advocate statement that Kishi could utterly troll on us by making nothing happen. However with everything that's happened I find it highly unlikely.

I think you forget though that so far Sasuke understands that Itachi was ordered to kill off the Uchiha family. The only problem is that Sasuke was easy to manipulate because of that.

Of course he understands that; it's the entire reason he wants to slaughter the village.

Either way, I don't think gullibility can excuse his actions; the intent is there, it's just that the excuses he uses change.

But Sasuke will eventually understand that it's all wrong and that he is only being used.

Pretty sure he knows he's being used in some way. He just doesn't care. Means to an end. Even when he left with Orochimaru it was in service to what he wanted to do. He honestly didn't give a crap about what Oro wanted to do.

If you're talking about me, there's no reason to be saddened. I don't take this manga seriously anymore. I just try and get some laughs out of it. Truth be told I'm very apathetic about it; if I weren't invested in NaruSaku I honestly would have stopped reading a while ago.

When it comes to this manga (also video game playing compatible) it's best to sit in a recliner because you never know when you'll , , , bang your fist on the recliner arms rest , or fall to of boredom. I hope this tip helps.

It's time for Sakura to get back in the zone, show how she can feel/heal Naruto physically and mentally and take down Naruto with love.

Sweet jesus. The amount of Shounen-ai subtext is getting frighteningly ridiculous. I joke about it and all, but seriously, how many different ways can you take the sort of thing that's been bandied about by Naruto in regards to Sasuke? Not many. At the very least the whole things been coming off like a bad soap opera.

I bet Sasuke could slaughter a box of puppies and blow up a homeless shelter and Naruto would excuse him.

Anyway, despite the fact that it was extremely tedious because of all the other" Naruto to Sasuke" rants, this was a nice chapter. Sakura crying for Naruto was just the icing on the cake.

Yeah, I want Sasuke to die because he's irritating and unrealistic about his OMGANGST. But try imagining him in that nice happy NaruSaku ending you were thinking of. It's just awkward, right?
-The village hates him because (unlike Naruto) Sasuke has killed people he shouldn't have
-Sakura is in a weird relationship with him that will never be the same...(he tried killing her too)
-AAAAaand Naruto's got this convoluted "brotherly love" friendship thing that is, to put it in Sasuke's words, "F-ing crazy."

Next chapter is gonna be sweeeet.

I have no ideas how the next chapter will go, I mean, Kishi left us with no cliffhangers, its just like the talk ended and everyone will go their on ways now.

I'm really excited about next week though. I think it will be interesting, especially with Naruto having to assert his authority in his stance on fighting Sasuke alone. I mean, I just don't think Kakashi will stand there and be like "umm, well... alright then". And then you got Sakura, shes all torn up about Naruto's proclamations so I'm sure she will have something to say to him, or maybe he will talk to her first.

Anyways, again, I can't wait till next week!!!!

You know since actions speak louder than words to naruto, if NS is going to happen I can honestly believe that sakura will confront naruto before he gets a chance to face sasuke. I could see her saying something about not wanting him to die, but understanding what he is doing then giving him a kiss to show how she feels can anyone else agree with that?

Yup all i can say is that in the course of 5 chapters everything has been such a huge rollercoaster ride. I cant wait for madara and co to leave and maybe we can finally get a look into sakuras thoughts. I know naruto will probably ask her why she went there all by herself.



on a side note : lol I am still holding out for the idea of a final confrontation between naruto and whoever whether it be sasuke or madara going for a final attack then everything goes white and the scene changes to a few years in the future with him reading the story of his life to his kids while being married to sakura and being hokage as an epilogue lol

It makes logical sense. I'm hoping the confession will come sooner though like before Naruto goes back to Mt. Myubakuzan or wherever he goes having Sakura build up with such love and concern for Naruto releasing it on him before he leaves to train.

I got to say I love this chapter. I wish that sakura had a complete thought instead of just Naruto...you... but i can pretty much guess what she is thinking. Also for the people wondering why sakura wasn't crying when madara mentioned sasuke having to capture naruto, I think it was just because she din't hear him. I do want to see her reaction though when she realizes that sasuke will try and capture naruto if he plans to work with akatsuki on that point.

I think that... Er, hm. I don't know, I got nothing but either way Naruto and Sakura are gonna have to talk about stuff, there's too much drama between them and it's just gonna cause unnecessary stress between the two.

Ah, but only seconds have passed since then! All that happened was a single clash and some talk-no-jutsu. It was also a small cut, so it could take time to spread; a direct hit from the kunai would have had a quicker effect.

I also feel that Kishimoto wouldn't bring up "poisoned kunai" if he didn't intend for it to have an effect. Sakura could have used her uber-strength or an ordinary kunai instead. Of course, there is the small possibility that Kishi wanted to give reasons for why he had Sakura use a kunai instead of pummeling Sasuke into oblivion.

Well, it won't be too long before we find out if the poison affects Naruto or not.

Why bother saying the Kunai is poisonous if nothing is gonna happen, you should want it to have poison because that will end up an NS moment.
