Can people still say SasuSaku can happen?

Naruto needs to deal with his issues of not being able to keep his promises and being strong enough to protect his important people so that they don't have to leave. He wants to be Hokage, he needs to be stronger, and Sasuke, who was the first to truly acknowledge him as an equal, his brother, is someone he needs to feel he deserves as an equal. He lost the last fight he had with Sasuke and his life was at the mercy of his friend. Seriously, not only does Naruto have issues since he was unloved as a child, but he has issues about self-worth as well. He doesn't angst over it, but getting Sasuke back is a huge part of who he is and what drives him. Being Hokage was a shallow need for revenge as well in the past, to prove to others he was worthy all along, even when they refused to acknowledge him. It only became something with deeper meaning when Iruka truly acknowledged Naruto and then later, Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura followed. Now Naruto understands what the meaning of being acknowledged means, of being important to someone and being strong, dependable and what it means to actually protect. The fact that he knows that Sakura likes Sasuke so much and that Sasuke's departure truly hurt her, and he understands that because it hurt him too, is a barrier that cannot be overcome until the three of them come together again and worked this out. It doesn't matter if Sakura has a change of heart, Naruto would not fully believe this or in himself - which is more important - until he can bring Sasuke back - a goal, at this time that he deems to be tied in with him being Hokage, a goal that he deems will be the FIRST step to proving him worthy to be acknowledged not just by Konoha but by himself.
Sakura cannot decide who she loves or likes more unless she truly spend time with Sasuke again. One just can't make a decision like that, and Sasuke was important enough and was a part of the cycle of her own self-change enough for this to be something that needs CLOSURE of some type. It may lead to SasuSaku and it may lead to NaruSaku and it might lead to SakuNoOne, but the two boys are her boys and she loves them both so much that she is willing to set her life down for them, be it at a moment's notice or a decision that she has time to decide and think over. They both inspired her to grow and she is so different from who she was before, and both Sasuke and Naruto have changed - if not a lot, then enough - for this decision to not be something made on the fly or even for anyone of them to think over on their own. On top of all that, even if Sasuke haven't changed, Sakura has, so that whatever decision she makes, not only does she understand him better now, she may or may not decide that on getting to know him again, that he's not the guy she wants anymore. But she needs Sasuke to be physically present and interact with him and get to know him again before she can do it. And even if Sakura eventually decide she doesn't "love" him like she used to or in the way she did before, it doesn't mean she doesn't love him as a teammate and friend. Either way, Naruto and Sakura will do anything in their power, including giving away their lives and their time to not only bring Sasuke back, but to heal him and show him that he has them as his family now. So, as much as I am a complete NaruSaku fan, I can't disregard the possibility of SasuSaku or just the fact that he matters so much to both of them.
And if Sakura still loved Sasuke, she's not dumb or a masochist. She simply loves him, even if what type of love that is and what she decides to do about it and with it is still up in the air. Love hurts, the more you love someone, the more likely what they decide to do with their lives and themselves will hurt you. Sakura understands this. She loves Naruto too, so when she found out how he had suffered all this time and how she was still not strong enough to protect him from further pain or truly heal the scars he already has, that made her cry for him and made her angry and harsh on herself for being helpless when it matters to the people she loves and cares about. So what if she doesn't benefit from loving Sasuke, if she did it because she got something out of it, that's selfish love, which was what made everyone look down at her in arc one. Sakura grew up, she still loves and its her capacity to continue to love that is what makes her important to Sasuke and Naruto. At least she understands now that her loving Sasuke's not going to change him, that Sakura understands better than anything because she had to change herself. So, I hope that Sakura still loves Sasuke - which is hinted A LOT in the manga, since he is still a force that drives her to change - but it doesn't mean she hasn't started loving Naruto more and more - another HUGE hint in the manga.
And thank god this is not a shoujo... because personally, all three still need to grow up a bit more before I can really consider them having cleared enough issues to consider having healthy relationships. Sakura has the least amount of issues, but both Naruto and Sasuke need to grow up a bit more before I consider either of them ready for that. They may all be old enough to kill people, and have the license to do it, but they have a LONG way to go before they are mature enough to handle a real relationship without half the baggage that both boys are lugging around. I have hope though, that as long as Sakura stays alive, they will both grow to be emotionally more mature than Kakashi - though, that may be insulting to Naruto and Sasuke... because Kakashi isn't much to measure by when it comes to emotional capabilities........

I generally tend not to really like pure romance or WAFF because they are usually badly written. I like a good old dramedy with a nice side of romance. Give me plot, character development anyday over the regular stuff.

That'd sorta suggest to me that it was while they were still in Konoha, but the latter revelations about how he created the curse seal from Juugo would tend to suggest otherwise.
I kinda get the impression that Kishi worries a lot less about the timeline than we do.

Actually as far as I can tell, she left him because she could tell what he was doing wasn't right. Then he did something to her memory. I don't know what it was, but he made her think he had abandoned her. That's one of the major parts of the whole part with Isaribi. (Though I'm pretty sure that was filler...) Anyway, she got her memory back. And in some part of it (episodes 169-173) It showed her as a young child, interacting with Tsunade, Sandaime, and a medic nin.they seemed pretty friendly. So I don't think the higher ups ever couted her as a missing nin. (Although from what we've seen so ar, I'm guessing the rest of the villagers did.) And I think she did leave the village, but at that point, it seemed like they were authorized to do so. Maybe they were using a mission as a smokescreen?

Yeah, the way i see it is:
A LOT of SasuSakuers (and by a lot, I mean enough to fill a decent sized state of the US) are still hanging on to part 1. (Same with NaruHina-sters) ~ And I suppose they can still wish for it to happen, but the possibilities now are even LOWER than before (and they weren't all that high to begin with)

Coz:
1.) Since part 1, Sasuke has never been interested in girls. EVER. Much less, Sakura-chan. This has even forced some people (including myself) to actually question his sexuality

2.) Sakura did have a crush on him, but she somewhat grew out of it all. She still values him as a teammate & w/e, but she ain't swooning and pining all over him like before!

3.) Sir Naruto has stepped into the picture!

- Sasuke isn't in the picture
- Naruto is improving his jutsu (Naruto in hospital bed = Much TLC from Sakura)

- ...and NOW Sakura REALLY knows the truth about him!...his past, his hardships...heck all the way down to his "physical attributes" (courtesy of Sai) :o
4.) Sakura's picking up on Naruto's feelings

5.) Heck Hinata's basically ruled out, and Karin's in the picture now. Miss Sakura part II !! And if some sasusakuer tries to pull the "Oh, he must revive his clan...with Sakura" card, he has a better chance of becoming a pimp and just getting a bunch of chicks together to follow him around, as he will "use them ALL" to do his clan-reviving

I got a ton more reasons for proving my point, but this generally nut-shells it

My own answer to that question: Hundreds if not thousands. The story sounds familiar? thats the classic high school story that ALL Sasusaku fans are clinging for. So, I won't say that the pairing is impossible but I also don't think it will happen. if anything, Kishi is the 1 who made the decision.

Stupid occidental romance films. The whole message those high school films send to young girls and young women is, cling to your crush, even is the boy is a jerk, because he secretly loves you and he will someday return your feelings.
We know why the divorce rate is so high these days.
I don´t think that Sasusaku is like that. Honestly I can´t stomach that kind of romance.

Things are different in Japan I believe.
Let's also not forget this is Shounen manga we're talking about.

On one hand you have Naruto's stated desires to be Hokage, to be acknowledged as something other then the Kyubi container, etc... included in that is a relationship with Sakura that he himself doesn't or can't fully define/explain like most kids his age.
On the other hand, you have Sasuke's two stated goals of killing his brother and restoring his clan. The former is what is overshadowing and powering about his character thus far. But the latter is the part where Sakura could come into play (or any appropiate female could) again.
It is possible for Sakura to love Naruto and be needed (and loved) by Sasuke just as much as it is for Sasuke to admit he loves her and admit she belongs with Naruto.
Time will tell.

We KNOW Kish is not gonna have Sasuke and Sakura doing anything at the age of 16 as this is a Shonen manga for young men so unless theres a time jump, or he hooks up with Kerin (who at this point is the only person who's expressed outward sexual desires towards Sasuke in part 2) thats not really going to happen.
Sasuke needs a housewife to be honest. Someone he can leave at home with his 7-8 kids while he goes out and parades around in his Ninja attire. Sakura USED to be that kind of girl, but now shes not. Shes a good ninja and a skilled medic who I can seriously see not settling down and starting a family till shes at least 25-30.
This also brings up a personal theory I have about Sai. Why did Kish go with that specific character design? The emotionless, pale, attractive young male slot is already filled by Sasuke, and he didn't need to be similar to Sasuke to get the job he was assigned to do, done.
And now here we have, someone who resembles Sasuke in appearance, voice (as stated by Sakura), and personality and she shows little to no attraction to him unlike Ino whose all over him. In fact Sakura tells Ino that Sai is an emotional cripple herself when they are at the hospital with Kakashi.
My guess was he was added to show Sakura's emotional growth. That if faced with another obnoxious, pretty boy she won't end up in the same situation as last time and also to add another character to the group as well...
These are my theory anyways.

What happened?
I mean, if he's dead, then we've got a really different question: "Why do SasuSaku fans support Necrophilia?"
Can someone answer me that?
Mind you, I heard of this secondhand, so it may not be acurate...

In that case, this topic makes a LOT more sense then. 'Cause if he dies, then what would be the point in asking if Sakura gets together with him?
Please ignore my posts of large stupidity.

Sasuke is a "main" character too though. And the storyline isn't all about Naruto.
