I don't mind nudging, as long as it's kept sparing, and done with some sense. Bugging me heavily about an update three hours after the last chapter was posted (as has happened in the past with much of my fanfiction) does get a bit annoying, but it has been a while.

And, for the record, I haven't touched the thing in about three weeks -- or done any other writing of fiction, fanfic or otherwise, since I finished the prep-to-send-out for my original fantasy novel. Too busy with 'real' work, plus I took a few days off about two weeks ago to visit my uncle and cousins down in Newport News (Va., USA).

So, how much longer? Well... (American) Football season is about to start, and I think a pretty decent-sized portion of the early writing for this fic was done during the LAST football season while also 'watching' (i.e., leaving the TV on for the noise, in most cases) the games. So, maybe I'll be able to get back to work on it doing the same thing pretty soon.

And, um, also for the record, I'd have to say that this fic is FAR from professional quality. Even edited for grammar flubs (both honest flubs and those caused by my dyslexia -- the later requiring someone to help me, since I honestly can't see the errors unless they're pointed out. And sometimes, it's not even just the spelling, but switched names, wrong genders, confused homonyms, etc. Some of my volunteer editors for the professional book have pointed out a LOT of things I never saw, and one of them who had knowledge of the matter was clearly able to tell I had dyslexia from my writing alone. I've never been 'officially' diagnosed, but I've long known I had a problem, and this has confirmed it... and told me a lot more about what problems it's causing for my writing), and even if there were a publisher for Naruto fanfiction, I wouldn't submit it until I worked out a few flaws in it, such as it dragging on too much in the middle and so forth. Having actually gone through (and COMPLETING, Thank God) the process of writing something larger tham a short story to submit professionally, I'm pretty certain of my diagnosis that this fic is merely 'better then average, but not even close to professional quality.'

(And, for those of you who were part of my volunteer editorial team who frequent these forums, I never did figure out a good title for my original fantasy novel, so I can't tell you what to look for until the Publisher buys it and helps me pick one -- the current working title is unlikely to stand).

(Edited to avoid confusion due to the international membership here on the forums... and some slight grammar fixes)

hhm about the quality of your fic, I think your underestamating your own writing. I've read a lot of fanfiction and i honestly can say this is one of the best, if not the best I have read.

Well Desaix, I do hope you finish your epic fanfic at some point.

However Naruto having a half-brother confuses me. Does that mean Anko has another baby with . . . someone else?

That's a hell of a consolation prize for Ino.

One would think that Yondaime would want to hook up with his former mate Anko . . . least former mate in Desaix's canon.

I have started work on the next chapter, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish it anytime soon. I was trying to get it done a few days ago, but it looks like it won't be until tomorrow, at the earliest.

Current status is 'slow erratic movement towards completion of the next chapter is in progress, but again is slow and erratic.' I've completed about 1,000 words so far (I'm setting a minimum chapter length of 4,000 words). It doesn't help that the more recent chapters of canon Naruto have been so, well, uninspiring -- I still know where I'm going with this fic, but canon Naruto is getting a bit frustrating (It's not that I don't like it, but I almost feel like stepping away from it for a month or two before diving back in, just because it has the feel of something that should be read in a block and is coming out in such small portions it's annoying me) and it's making it hard for me to WANT to write for it.

I'm also toying with a Full Metal Panic fanfic idea, but I'm trying to NOT get started on that one. I've got enough writing -- original fiction and fanfiction -- to keep me busy for the rest of my life without it, even if Training were complete. Still, I keep thinking about it more and more, and it might be the only way to get it out of my system is to actually write the damned thing....

OOh! Me too! I, like most everyone else, love this fic. The plot twists were so surprising and refreshing, it makes me think that the real Naruto is a little too transparent for ninja-peeps like they are. (Unless Kishimoto is going to reveal a whale of plot twist no one is expecting.)
Yatta! I will wait for -years- for an update. (I have for some fics before. It's quite tragic. I know.)

The age difference would be too big between the resurrected Yondaime and Anko. Though I do wonder what Anko will think.

Only time will tell my friends. But I have qusetion why are you thinking Desaix of changing it into SakuraNarutoIno? I like the threesome story but seriously the story pretty much flows exserlently without the third wheel.
