No kidding. Though I guess it put Sasuke in even more bad light. I mean Naruto became Hokage and Sasuke returns with the news. But why can't he just meet Sarada? Why?

Kishimoto really needs to show explain the timeline to avoid confusion. Right now, things are just jumbled up.

 

As far a Sarada goes, Sasuke was present during her birth. The gaiden confirms that Sakura left the village and travelled with sasuke for a while and she ended up giving birth to Sarada in Karin's hideout. Sarada's flashback also shows that Sasuke was present for a bit when she was very young. I'm guessing Sakura went back to konoha to take care of Sarada while Sasuke continued on his mission.

 

So it is possible that Sakura was not even in Konoha when Hinata had Boruto. 

 

 

 

It's Kishimoto's style. It probably just looks different because he hasn't been drawing Naruto on a weekly basis as he used to.

 

The art looks good. A lot better than the Kiba/kakashi onseshots.

 

 

 

A couple things you got wrong

 

--Sakura didn't traveled with Sasuke, she went after him while pregnant ( the raw says this) , she met Karin and then had her baby during her search, we don't know if she found Sasuke or not but that is most likely what happened since he obviously gave her access to wear an uchiha symbol

 

--Salad didn't even met Sasuke while she was small, the flashback you're talking about was just wishful thinking on her part because the Sasuke in flashback had 2 arms while the original has only one

 

The timeline is a mess and it paints most of the characters as real a-holes, just look at this if we go by the Gaiden then Sasuke actually visited Konoha while Naruto was hokage, going by this oneshot however we see that Naruto became hokage when he already had his Burrito and the mop kid, which means that Salad  already existed too and had almost the same age as Burrito...now just think about it...Gaiden shows it that Sasuke visited konoha and this oneshot shows that Salad already existed at the time...logical conclusion is that Sasuke didn't even bothered to visit his daughter

 

Then there is also the matter that Sakura is supposed to be a big friend of Karin's now and yet she never let her kid know of the red head's existence and deliberately "photshopped" a photo of  team Taka putting her own picture on top of Karin to make it look like some kind of family photo, all of this paints Sakura not only as an disgusting friend but also an hypocrite considering that  Karin likes Salad and ( based on her dialogue) sends the girl some gifts every now and then, the glasses being one of them

 

There is also the problem with Naruto, a guy who cared so much about his friends, comrades and precious persons, just forgetting all about them because "lol work" a hokage who didn't even met one of his best friend while she was pregnant and let her leave the village while pregnant putting the safety of the baby at risk.

 

 

Also, Kiba/Kakashi oneshot art were purposely done like that but Kishi's art  has obviously gotten worse throughout the years for whatever reason

Well they're advertising it as SN but I think the idea is get away from idea of NS, which is a lie. Either way, it's rather insulting to do the same storyline yet not acknowledging the first storyline in romance. It's not even dejavu since it never happened, rather it made the other generation seem correct while the recent one was a fluke.

Yeah, it's a mess, I know.
